Power on in fastboot mode [N7 3G] - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys. I just bought a new nexus 7 3G and I want to launch it in fastboot mode to use root tool. But I read in all tutorials that If I want to power on my device in fastboot mode I have to press Vol UP+ Vol Down + Power. But if I press these 3 buttons nothing happens, while if I press only VOL DOWN + POWER ON my device turns on in fastboot mode.
So I ask you: Is it normal???

Correct. It's Volume down + power.
The 3 button mash is more of a simulated battery pull.

When i press vol down there is no immediate response, after few seconds of delate the system vol went all the way down to slient mode like I was press and hold the vol down button. I have no problem with vol up and I have no problem pressing both up and down to boot into recovery mode, but during recovery mode the vol down is still not working right. It also have the delate problem but doesn't seem to have press and hold effect while I just press it once.
I am running on Vibrant6 rom from the forum. Is this a rom/firmware problem or a hardware problem?
BTW it was fine when I bought it from ebay.

How to Enter Bootloader/Recovery

To enter the bootloader: with the phone off hold volume down and press power. Use the volume rocker to scroll through the options
To enter Recovery: Once in the bootloader screen use the volume rocker to bring up the Recovery Mode option and press the power button. This gets you to the dead Andy with the red triangle. Now press volume up and you should have the stock Android recovery.
I'm guessing the bootloader is locked? :X

Once at dead Andy, I (at least) had to press power and vol up to get to stock recovery. Vol up alone did nothing.

This has been happening to me too. Vol up and Andy just lays there, red triangle in hand, laughing at me.
EDIT: Nevermind............ I was missing the point. All good now.
Weird. I'm not able to get past the dead android.
I get into the bootloader fine, can select Recovery Mode, phone reboots and I get the dead Andy with "No command".
Tried pushing vol up... nothing. Tried pushing power and vol up... nothing.
I'm just trying to wipe the cache partition... which I've done before... but can't get past the dead guy.

in the dead andy screen press vol up + power for 4 seconds. if nothing happens try again, is a little tricky.
I have found that mine seems to work better if I hold the vol up for a second BEFORE I press power. Hold vol for a second then continue to hold it while you push power and let both go. Hope this helps someone.
Thanks guys, I'm in.
Man... that's a fine line between holding the buttons long enough to get into recovery, and holding them too long so as to shut your phone off!
X_man, that trick of holding vol up first before pressing power did actually seem to make it easier.

No prob. Glad to help. I myself actually restarted a couple times by accident before I figured out you can hold the vol first. lol
You should only need to tap power while holding the volume Up button.
1. At the bootloader screen, select Recovery mode.
2. Wait for the dead Andy.
3. Press and hold volume Up.
4. Tap power and release (still pressing volume Up).
5. Recovery should show in a second or less.
€DIT: deleted, here was crap
Correction!

@Moondroid, I tried what you suggested many times, but to no avail. Finally I figured out that you had steps 3 and 4 in the wrong order! So for anyone that's still trying to figure this out, press and hold power button, then tap volume up button and release .

4. Tap Volume Up and release (still pressing Power Key).
5. Recovery should show in a 01 milli second or less.

[GUIDE] - How to reboot into recovery mode using the power and volume-up button

I see a lot of people saying they cannot get into recovery mode with power+vol-up.
This is because its not that simple.
To get into recovery mode, you should reboot the phone by or while simultaneously holding the power and the volume up buttons.
But the trick is to release the power button when you see the big android logo/text while still holding the volume-up button.
Good luck!

[Galaxy A5 SM A500FU] Can't enter to download mode/recovery menu

Hello i have a problem with my galaxy A5 2015 (SM A500FU) i cant enter to a download mode and recovery menu. I locked my phone by pin and i dont remember this pin. I tried (vol-, home, power / vol+, home power / vol-, power / vol+ power / all buttons ) I tried to still press them after logo samsung and let go this buttons after logo samsung nothing happend. Also tried vol-, home, power and my phone still reseting on samsung logo when i pressing buttons, tried put cable usb on stil nothing. ADB dont see my phone couse i cant enable debugging. Any ideas how to reset my device?
no idea
For recovery hold vol+, home, power button. For download mode it is vol-, home power button.
Make sure you press them all at the same time. It is not necessary to keep holding them once android logo and phone model shows up.

Root not working on One UI 3

Has anyone managed to boot into magisk mode on one ui 3? Power + bixby + vol up doesn't seem to be working anymore.. I also tried with the USB method but still no luck..
Recovery Mode UI 3.0
1. Turn off the device,
2. Connect the phone with a USB cable to the computer,
3. We wait until the screen showing the start of charging and the percentage of the battery appears,
4. Press the Volume + button and then the power button and hold both buttons until the device turns on -For older devices, such as Galaxy S10, it is required to hold the Volume +, Bixby and power buttons

I can enter recovery mode just fine, the problem is that I'm not being able to boot into root (magisk) mode anymore after the update. Vol up + bixby + power (and USB) is only taking me to recovery mode now.
So far TWRP doesn't support android 11. Maybe the next version will support it.
I'm in the exact situation. I think nobody understood the question. He wants to boot into MAGISK MODE (Root) which some time ago it was made by pressing vol + + bixby a couple of seconds then releasing both buttons at the same time.
Now with UI3 we are left with recovery using USB cable or normal mode but no MAGISK.
