Fill the dock conneciton holes on bottom of the tablet? - Transformer TF300T General

Has anyone found a place to purchase some rubber fillers or something to fill the two holes on the bottom of the tf300t?

i found rubber cement or epoxy to work effectively. a permanent solution.

I dont think I would do that because I am planning on purchasing the dock in 1-2 months. I know the Prime came with rubber plugs, just wondering if they would fit in the tf300

If anything, I bet they'd be as close as you can get to anything that would fit the TF300. In fact, I've seen a video of someone using a TF700 in a TF300 dock, so I bet the slots are nearly identical. I'd say take the gamble and get TF700 plugs if you can find them.

Yeah I can't seem to find anyone selling them though :/

I will do that soon, but I hate dealing with Asus support.

I started looking at the openings after reading this thread. The only one I would care to cover would be the port. Looks like I'm going to end up making something for it that won't damage the pins. A plug of some sort would be nice when a keyboard isn't attached.
If you do contact Asus, I would appreciate you sending me a PM letting me know their answer. Thanks

I'll probably contact them at the end of the week. I'll let you know what they say.

FOR SALE - Transformer with cracked screen

I have a B60 with a cracked screen that might help others who need parts. It still works, I have it connected to my TV and watch .avi's. Is is worth anything to anybody? A few bucks plus shipping?
I might swap the screen with a working B80 and then sell a B80 with a cracked screen. Would this be of any interest? Trying to figure out my options before proceeding.
Depending on how much you'd like for it, I'd take it.

What did santa bring you in the way of tablet goodies?

So in my stocking, I found a 64gb sandisk ultra class 10, and under the tree, I found a Motorola bluetooth keyboard. Pretty cool that it has a mouse stick on it too. Gotta love Christmas new gadgets.

Be careful with that keyboard/doc accessory. Mine cracked the screen on the tablet. There aint no space between the glass and touch pad so it cracked :crying: . Asus warranty was worse than useless. Save the trouble and put a couple of small sticky felt pads on the keyboard to assure space between the keyboard and screen.
Good Luck Bro
With the felt tabs, are you talking about issues when the tablet is docked and it's closed? Or that the tablet is to tight in the hinge part? I'm having a hard time understanding where I should he putting these felt tabs. Thanks!

i am pretty sure he means after you attach the tablet to the keyboard and if you fold it up too fast/hard the screen of the tablet hits the keyboard too hard, and could possibly crack the screen
walmart sells all kinds of different things you could stick to the keyboard for protection like the guy above recommends
but i have also heard that people crack their screens from the stress of folding them up in the docking station
(my docking station is refurbished and feels pretty loose)
but if it cracks you better believe ill be posting pics and cussing about it

The problem was when it was docked and closed. The glass got little poc marks in the glass from the plastic surface by the touch pad mouse. So stick them on the front corners opposite the hinge. Stick them on the plastic surface. The little felt pads were something I had laying around. They are round and about 1/2inch in diameter. Maybe 1/8inch thick. They are sticky one side.

[REQUEST][DONATION] Asking for some kind soul to help me out :)

Hey guys,
Some of you have seen me floating around here in the TF300T with some nifty mods. Well some of those mods I needed the dock to test out. But i do not have a dock, and most likely will not be purchasing one as i really dont need/want one.
But for the sake of development/modding i would like one.
So i am asking very kindly if there is anyone out there who has an old unused dock they are willing to donate to me. It would seriously be amazing and i would be forever in your debt. It will also greatly motivate me to continue making mods and such for this amazing tablet.
Thanks for your time by simply reading this!
I wish I didn't need mine but I can't live without it, really handy having one.

I wouldn't mind lending it to you if you were in my "neighbourhood", I live in Cyprus, and from the Deutsch in your signature I assume you either live in Germany or some other Germanic speaking "hood"
P.S.: If you actually own the tf300 and you don't just use someone else's I really would suggest to get one, it comes handy in many occasions (battery and productivity-wise).

I get it, I know how it is to be on a tight budget, I sold my optimus 2x and found the tf300tg 32gb plus the dock for a bargain, just as I was ready to buy an One X, and I got it, my phone now is an old school Samsung i1080 or something, I'll wait for a few months till all the new "****" come out and decide which one I'm gonna get then. I like your mods but sadly I can't install 'em as I'm running the stock odexed ROM, I will try and see if I can deodex mine somehow as I need the tg ROM for whatsapp to work (that's how I talk to my girl when we're not together) and I haven't found a deodexed tf300tg ROM anywhere.

One with the dock, but it probably has to be RMA'd. Unrecoverable bootloader error. Not a message that you want to see in Fastboot mode.

How much costs the RMA for "Unrecoverable bootloader error"? Is it really the $ 202 for the whole mainboard?
Somewhere in a polish forum I've read that a user got it the RMA for around $ 20.. but maybe his was just softbriked?!
Well, Asus should have to possibility to delete easily all partitions and reflash fastboot via apx, don't they?

They're not very smart, the devs here could design a better bootloader for the tf300 than Asus

Best buy was a lot more helpful than Asus... they let me exchange it 3 times without losing or using my replacement plan.
Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2
I'm on my third tablet. My first had a dead pixel but was otherwise perfect. Walmart exchanged it with no hassles. The second started out perfect, but within a couple weeks, the touch input gave out. I would get ghost presses by lightly squeezing the left edge of the tablet (no more force than was required to hold the tablet with one hand; that was how I first noticed the ghost touches), then I would get random ghost touches regardless, and within a couple days, it didn't respond to touch input at all. That one also got returned without hassles.
This third tablet has been great minus the I/O issues. If the I/O could be fixed, my tablet would be perfect.
My first TF300 hand issues with the touch screen and went back to best buy for an exchange. Before that I had an TF101 whet through had to exchange my first two TF101 and the third one screen went out after about a year, so I upgraded to the TF300.
I I/O issues with just about all Asus tablets and the fact that I'vd had to exchange every Asus tablet at lest one leads me to think this will be my last Asus tablet. Even though I love Asus tablet and dock combo but, I'll probably be going with a Samsung next time.

The TF300 I have is from that same sale last year. IO seems to be better with a custom ROM. Only real issue mine has is that the micro SD slot broke last week and the card will not stay inserted. Not a big deal for me though.
