Huawei u8800 may have Android 4.2 ... Android 4.2 comes from a source phone Desire Z. Unfortunately for compiling android 4.2 I haven't good computer. This article is mainly for developers!

Have you tried to port the Inspire 4g's CM9? It looks more stable than the Z.

And if we have desire z device files, can we compile it? :silly:

yes. Is it possible? I think that we can compile aosp 4.2 for huawei u8800 from desire z.... Or we can only modified ROM from desire z (same cpu)?

All you got to do is use his kernel. Check mikegapinski git or pcfighers git

Now nAa Release MiniCM9 with this Drivers
nAa has already made an X8 ROM with those drivers.

it getting anoying to answer again and again the same question...we dont have devs..we only know how to edit a rom... (add/del apps add tweaks) nothing more...noone has device tree noone has knowlage...if some dev buy the phone..its unlikely cos its already old phone..then he can create a rom...but for now at least i look everywhere to port a rom from other phone with no luck!so we have to wait for some chinese dude to port a rom for our phone!!
System setup needed for building Jelly bean device tree is too much

I recently started porting the cyanmobile ROM to u8800pro, I successfully installed it but sticks at first huawei flower(splash screen). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure that device tree is needed for compiling from source. If I am correct then that's not possible because Ivan is the only one who has it

Actually, their is a differnt source tree for every version of android. Geno made his public on his git hub.
