From my understanding this isn't a flashable .zip. You're supposed to extract it and run the .bat while your phone is connected to your computer.

It seems that this was released on the playstore but is incompatible with my device (TMO GS2)... I downloaded through different means but it force closes when I make a new task. I'm pretty sure this would force close also if I got it to work.

it seems there is a lot of force closes...i only have one phone to test on...if there is a problem please send me a logcat and i will look in to it and thank you Shmi117 for trying to make a flashable zip.

New Market App

I. Before You Begin
1. If the apk doesn’t work for you you can easily uninstall it like any other app.
2. This apk is touchy and doesn’t work on all phones, so give it a try.
II. Download and Install the APK
1. Download the New Android Market 2.2.6
Android Market 2.2.6
2. Plug your phone in via USB cable and mount the sd card so you can transfer files to it.
3. Copy the .apk file to the root of the sd card (NOT in any folder, just on the sd card itself).
4. Unplug the phone.
5. Download a File Manager from the Market (Linda File Manager Free is good).
6. Open the Linda File Manager and navigate to the SD card and click on the .apk and follow the prompts to install it.
7. Enjoy!
Thanks Artem / Android Police for sending this in!
If installation isn't succesful, you can try to flash via recovery this file:
http://www.androidworld.it/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Vending-2.2.6-signed-testkeys.update.zip

Note: not all the features are avable now, the app should be out officially in two weeks. For example, new categories will be avable soon.
I don't know anything about the refound.. but now you can see all the screenshots that developers post.

[GUIDE]Notification Power Widgets

I'm tired to see a lot of posts such as: "Does this have notification power widgets ? " , " Will you include them in the next release?" , "Why don't you have a toggle for this and that ?".
You can get them easily:
Get the latest KANG from here
After flashing it, download this apk, copy it into system/app, change permissions with a root explorer, or whatever you want, reboot and enjoy !
Please stop spamming the dev threads, it's annoying for a developer to read the same requests over and over again.
L.E: I forgot to mention that with the apk, you can customize your power widgets to suit your needs.

What if I don't want to use CM but want to have the notification power widgets?

A Kang + CM settings apk = customizable power widgets.
Why do you want every rom to become a CM rom ? You already have one, a very good one if you ask me.

I can't get this to install for the life of me. I've tried several different things including checking all the permission boxes on the CM Settings APK before rebooting..
There's no need to install CMSettings.apk in system.. Just open then file in a file manager and choose Install.
If I open it in a file manager it says Application Not installed. If I open it in Rot Explorer it tells me that there is a problem parsing the package.

Thanks Fusion. I'm used to seeing a pop-up like on the other forums I frequent when I get a PM.
Here's the message in case anyone else gets stuck.
Just move the apk to /system/app and the permissions should me first column check all boxes and second column only first box. Then reboot and fix permissions

You know, as much as I was hoping stock ICS would have toggles in the note drawer, putting the settings button in there and having the most common toggles right at the top has been more than sufficient, and saved a bit of screen real estate in the actual note drawer. That and the music controls. I actually don't think this thing is necessary anymore.

1. Download T9dialer_for_ICS_4_0_3.zip, and unzip it.
2. (Optional). Make a backup of your old .apk's. In case it's not working. They are found in system\app.
3. Copy the files you just downloaded, and paste them in system\app, overwriting the old ones.
4. Change the permissions of the files that you just pasted in system\app, to: RW-R-R

It's a bad habit to share stuff like this... noobs get used to it and when you less expect someone starts share hijacked apps. :\
Weird how people complain about random app's permissions, when the android permissions system sucks ass: there are many simple tasks that apps do, but the system requires the app to request almost-full phone access. On the other hand, no-one seems to even question some guy that simply shares a zip and instructs them to flash it through the recovery!!!

APK Resizer (Alpha 2) - The simpliest and most automated way to resize APKs

Hey, I made a program with you can resize APKs faster than ever. I haven't got much idea how to test it so I'm giving to you to test and report!
It's coded in VB. NET, which is pretty easy langauge, and source can be found at github.com/galaxyfreak/APK_Resizer. Just click download as zip in corner
It supports : MDPI, HDPI, XHDPI and LDPI.
What it actually does:
1) Extracting the APK to C:\temp
2) Taking highest existing resolution
3) Resizing PNGs and put it in new folder 'drawable-<targetresolution>'
4) Packing new APK named 'resized_<originalname>' at same folder as original APK
5) Deletes C:\temp
Test it and feel free to report and problems.

On resizing it will freeze on not responding for few moments, JUST LEAVE IT.
What about .9.pngs? It will be resized, nothing else, I currently dont know anything about them, so I can't make anything else with them than just resizing.
Gona try it

And remember to press THANKS.
Small news: Done with LDPI support. (see commit)

What you're seeing is the specific kernel information, but I don't see the need to add that information, the corresponding build should be enough. You can find this under the CyanogenMod version section in About Phone.

It's possible for the kernel to remain unchanged after an update, but unlikely. Unless you've actually switched the kernel yourself I doubt it.
Un fact since i update to cos12.1 i have a big battery issue.

Have you deliberately changed the kernel? Have you used an app like BetterBatteryStats to investigate exactly what's causing the drain?
Because of this problem I do the following :
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/cos-12-1-battery-issues.356430/page-4#post-13289477
So yes I changed my kernel but after the issue show up
Regarding by battery, I monitor it with
Avast battery saver and gsma battery monitor. I did not find anything so strange to drain 2/3 of my battery.
It's mostly like my battery was dead even if I get the information you can read in the scream shoot ( sorry it's in French)
