Missing Microsoft.Smartdevice.Connectivity.dll for Windows Phone Power Tools - HD2 Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting an

Hello all,
I made a fresh install on my PC with Windows7 x86, because I bought a new and bigger SSD.
On my old Installation I had all the Tools for my HD2 installed, without any Problems. Okay, it's a long time ago I made the Installation, but it worked.
On the new System, I always receive a message when I try to install Windows Phone Power Tools that the Microsoft.Smartdevice.Connectivity.dll V11.0.0.0 is missing. I searched Google and find out that the dll will be installed by Windows Phone Developer Tools. But it's allready installed!! Also Windows Phone SDK 7.1 is installed.
I cant find any V11 on Google and no other hint how to install the DLL on my new System.
Any ideas from someone??
Thanks and Greets,
Masterslice

Okay, it seems that no one can help me out with this problem..
I made another thing, my old system is on the old SSD. I put back this SSD in my PC and booted the system.
As I found in Google, the location must be C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\CoreCon\1.0\Bin\, but there was no dll..
I searched for the mentioned dll and found it here:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Phone Tools\CoreCon\10.0\Bin\Microsoft.Smartdevice.Connectivity.dll in Version 10.1.40219.209
And the Windows Phone Power Tools were installed here:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\07VV00KK.TYR\L17KJWPJ.ZXY\wind..tion_89698295f69f556b_0001.0000_18b3ec4d3a81c136
Why a part of the folders has such kind of strange names, i dont know..
Next step was, I backup the folders from my old system and copied them to my new system.
Now I can start the WindowsPhonePowerTools.exe and connect with my HD2! It works!
But I cant understand why I can't install all from the beginning..
Better to make a Backup also from this programm!
Seems to be solved.

Yes, thats the reason why I installed all the old versions, like the WPDT and WPSDK 7.1 with Update and Visual Studio and so on... I tried a lot, now way for me to fix this error! Only the posted solution worked for me!
I am happy now and I will install in a few days my old SSD into my Laptop with a fresh install from Win7 x64!

I am sorry, but I can't help you and give you the file.
Because I work now on my System with Windows 8.1 and I didn't installed all the Tools for HD2.
My HD2 is working, but I didn't used it since I got my Lumia820.

adb "error: device not found" with Haykuro builds

I tried installing the latest builds of Haykuro into my G1, they install fine however I lose adb I keep getting "error: device not found" when I revert to the latest JesusFreak build it starts working again just fine, any ideas why? Thank you in advance.
Sometimes adb.exe stay open in windows process close it reboot your phone and plug it again all is good.
did this fix it?
If not i updated to the new spl and got the new drivers and now adb works fine.
I am using Windows 7 64bit... I could get ADB working one time, and two mins later not at all.
I found this "tip" in a prior thread and I cannot remember who to credit (sorry).... but this worked for me last night without a problem....
When you reboot... hit F8, and scroll all the way down and disable Digital Driver Signing.
After I booted ADB was working great.
Thank you all
Thank you for all your responses I will try them tonight =]

android sdk wont install..

my desktop is kind of broken right now, so i am trying to install the sdk here on my windows 7 x64 laptop. the desktop was vista x32.
ive done this before and had no problems. download JDK and JRE, then the SDK. too easy right? well the SDK installer is lying to me.. its trying to tell me the JDK isnt installed! it wont let me progress from there, it just gives me a link to the download for JDK.
thought maybe i should reinstall. i did. rebooted and what not. still not working.. any insight?
you have already installed JDK right? OK, go here:
Start, Rightclick on "MyComputer" -> Properties -> Left More Settings -> Environment variables -> put in "PATH" the Path to your JDK, mine for example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_20\bin" but dont forget to make a ";" before the path. it should work then. sry for my bad englisch
Thank you! Will try soon

I'm actually about to pull my hair out.
I intstalled droid explorer which wasn't functioning right, so i uninstalled and put android commander on this required me to download android sdk, when downloading that it wanted me to install jdk before it progressed.
I downloaded it and it didn't seem to like it, so I went and downloaded another jdk didn't like it either...
I tried the path thing thinking it would work, seemed like a decent solution its C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_23 on my computer and still nothing... really frustrating as I now can't use any software to view my android...
sometimes i just hate computers
Try installing the 32 bit version instead of the 64. That's what solved the issue for me.
I had the same issue (on a Windows 7 64-bit laptop). I ended up giving up on the exe and using the zip file instead.

These.
Or see this thread if you want to install via exe on 64bit JDK (it's looking in the registry): stackoverflow.com/questions/4394584/android-sdk-install-problem
Relevant answer:
On Win 7 x64 the Android SDK Installer is looking JDK in 'HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\JavaSoft' registry branch, but in reality the JavaSoft was placed in 'HKLM\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft'. I copied all JavaSoft branch to the path search, and then the installer found the JDK.

Phone not recognised in MAGLDR modus

Hi,
I am trying to install my first ROM but none of the drivers are working for me, I have Win7 64bit is that the reason why? Does anyone know a work around as I don't have access to a 32bit version
Would be great if someone could help as I'm dying to get my first rom on this phone!
Thanks
it also says when I try to flash that rapi.dll is missing, however I have searched around and it is apparently in either ActiveSync or WMDC however I cannot find either of these that work on Win7 64bit
So install x86 version in second partition (dual boot), then you will be certain that everything will work.
I have x86 not x64 so I can not guarantee :/

don't actually open it it just installs what you need.
unrar and place the rapitools in the same folder as the rom installer.
I have windows 7 64bit Ultimate and I have not had a issue installing Roms to several different phones

Hey not a problem I have seen this asked in several threads and pretty much all the answers was just install Win 32bit instead. For me that was not a option to basically lose most of my functionality just to use one program. Either it works at a friends, I find my own solution , or it was just a screw it guess I ain't flashing.

Allready done that, i can see my wirelles device but can't install the driver..that method is not confirmed in final version of windows 8..
UP ....nobody?
Well..i got it working..my mastake was that i upgraded from windows 7 and not doing a fresh install of windows 8...
Almost have it working, but whenever i reboot, i need to delete my wifi and readd it and it will work (pain, but im starting to like the windows 8 on this compared to windows 7).

I got the patches from post #64. You need to boot windows 8 into command line to copy these files. It was the only way I could get them copied anyway (forgot which file it was, but one would not copy unless I did it from the command line).
ok, just need to disable it then enable it and it works...

Trying to understand your question. If you have the Windows Yoga Book you won't be able to install Android or RemixOS. Reinstalling Windows is a little tricky as you need quite a lot of different drivers not included with W10. Search in the Forum, there is a friendly guy listing all the different drivers you will need. And how to change your Bios settings so you can boot from a USB Stick for the installation. Be advised that you will need an external Keyboard during the installation as the Holo Keyboard will not be recognized by Windows until you install the proper drivers... Good luck
If you are having to install Win10 again from scratch, some of the drivers can be got from here. http://pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/products/tablets/yoga-series/yoga-book/za0v/downloads
