Enable usb debugging in developers options and reconnect to usb and you will see a little window appearing. Press yes in the window.

I have, since I was able to flash images through fastboot and before all this I could just get ROMs and music etc on the SD-card.

[Q] Usb debugging without android (through recovery?)

Hi,
I kind of "bricked" my nexus. Kind of, because recovery is working, and I can even start the device in android. Problem is error windows pops up and I can't control a thing.
No big deal you say, but I deleted by accident the .zip of the rom I had on the device. AND USB DEBUGGING WAS OFF...
I can't transfer any file to the device, I can't start usb debugging, and every tutorial on the internet says to put the device in usb debugging -> it's bricked, that's the whole point, so WTF!
sorry, I didn't respect the unwritten rule stating you should'nt ask for help on a forum while angry furious
Hope any of you can help me...
I should add I'm really not a poweruser. I've been flashing roms for a long time following carefully the rules, but really I have no idea what I'm doing <insert meme>, so adb and stuff like that I've never used (directly).
Thanks!
Use fastboot, see the sticky that says flashing a factory image using fastboot/return to stock.
Sent from my Nexus 7(2012) that has zero issues.
Thanks for you answer.
Still, I have to turn on USB debugging
Enable usb debugging on your device (found under Settings > Developer Options)

I can't do that because I can't use my nexus in android.

USB debugging is system feature. If you cannot load system you don't need to bother about it. You can only use fastboot as writen before.

Incorrect.
Fastboot works even when there is nothing on the device save the bootloader. Follow the instructions in the flash factory thread linked above and don't apply and personal prejudices-- it does work, and is the "right" way to do things. If you use a Windows computer, then you may also need the naked fastboot drivers (which can also be found by searching).

Broken Note III - How do I Turn On USB Debugging?

Hello Devs,
Last week my Note 3 N9005 got a cracked screen and the screen is useless.
And USB debugging is disabled. I want to mirror my phone to my PC but USB debugging is required.
Is there a way to Enable USB debug On Via ADB or Odin?

Thanks for the reply, but usb debugging wouldn't come out in the notification tab somehow. it grays out after i checked it in developer options and plugged in using the USB, i used Sony and samsung cables btw, is LG usb cables really required?. and i tried all modes already when i plug it in, PTP, MTP and the other ones.
Is it the cables the problem? been stuck for many days already.

(Q) Root without connecting to a computer.

Hi all,
Have an issue where my phone will not mount to any computer, with any cable.
Have cleaned etc, but nothing.
EDL mode does work, but not ADB / fastboot / storage.
So...... Is there a way to root?
Any help would be great
Edit: holy moly, I was able to MSM..
Meaning my bootloader is now locked.
Jesus H Christ.
Yea I think I'm knackered.
Ahhhhh, why now OnePlus!!!!
After all the positive things I've said about you.
Now they'll swap out my phone for a turd with all the issues I didn't have before.
What a bummer! Not much you can do without a Fastboot connection. It's almost like your Developer USB debugging setting could be corrupted, but who knows? What's that Wireless ADB debugging toggle? Anyway, hope the RMA works out for you. .
