NOTE: I'm not paying for shipping and I will do a full wipe before I release it.
I'm not a dev but I want to give back because you devs helped me so much.
Thx.

Please donate the HD2 to Xylograph, he is one of our best developers and had touch screen problems with his HD2.
Should I post a link of this thread in one of the dev threads of him?

If Xylo would get this donated HD2, would be really nice

Yeah, Xylograph deserves it...!!!

Being named on the XDA Portal is a good indicator that an individual should be the developer that you donate your HD2 to. "Thanks to XDA Senior Members Xylograph and securecrt, and XDA Recognized Developer Rick_1995, it is now possible to run Ice Cream Sandwich with full hardware acceleration on the HD2." http://www.xda-developers.com/android/hardware-acceleration-support-for-hd2-ics-roms/
Xylograph has made on average 1.5 post per day since he became a member in 2009 and has almost 7,500 Thanks on nearly 2,000 posts - a ratio of 4 Thanks per post. He posted his first ROM only at the end of last year (porting from Desire to HD2 to make a "rom as small as possible"). He has started 16 threads. It was his Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) that took the HD2 community by storm with over 1 million views.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441462
He continues to make innovative contributions with ParanoidAndroid for the HD2 with nearly 500,000 views.

The innovation continued with Native SD earning him another well deserved entry in the portal: HTC HD2 Android ROMs Reinvented: Introducing NativeSD
The cherry on the cake has been his PACman All in 1 HD2 ROM combining PA, AOKP and CM10 features.

I just wanted to let you all know that I am fine, still alive and still have my HD2 though it's acting up more and more lately..
It seems the famous 'non responding touchscreen' issue is slowly coming my way..

If anyone would kindly cover shipment shipment fees & a location to ship to, I'm willing to donate to this dev.
I'd also like to make him aware of this. If anyone could help me pass the information to him that would be great. A confirmation in my inbox should do fine or a post on this thread.
Also, I do plan on giving my Galax Note 2 a good thorough review. I'm still debating on rooting it.

+1 and more. First isn't as good as best, and Nils' work is better than best. Wake up XDA and realize what you are losing here. We all recognize Nils as a valuable member of this community. Shouldn't you?

Outrageous. Enough said.

Recently one of the greatest developers for the Droid Incredible, NilsP, announced his resignation from developing some of the smoothest and most stable Inc ROMs ever seen because the XDA "higher ups" have rejected his application to be seen as a recognized developer.
Anyone who has ever used one of Nil's ROMs can attest to the fact that this is a huge blow to the development community.
I am hoping that with enough signitures, we can get NilsP recognized developer status, and that he will continue his amazing work for the community here at XDA.

Can't say that I've ever used one of his ROMs.
But what I can say is that he has a presence in the threads of other developers, and that, to this relatively noob, seems extremely knowledgeable and willing to help. I have seen his name in the list of credits of the various ROMs I have used.
What exactly is the XDA criterion for "developer" status, anyway?
So we have a dedicated developer / rom chef and XDA turns him down???
In my business field we call that sales prevention and bad practice. This is what XDA stands for at the core, individuals that step up an post great roms, mods, themes and apps, how does he not qualify?
I sincerely hope the "higher ups" reconsider because if they keep going this way we will not have any developers on XDA and thus there will be no more XDA. After all it is individuals like him that drive XDA.
+1 give him his deserved status. NilsP has helped me back on the old Omnia i910 days, (when XDA wouldn't allow the omnia on the forums because it was HTC exclusive forum, remember that, lol) and continues to contribute to the community. Thank you NilsP, we appreciate what you do for us, even if XDA doesn't!!
+1. His ROMS are solid.

Uhhh, no its not. Community Rom, Shooter Rewind, and also Newts Sensation Rom all have MMS over WiFi working. But back on topic yes Nils deserves to be recognized as a developer as much as any of them. He does awesome work.
+1 Nils
+1, any dev willing top put out great roms should be recognized
Bring him into the fold
NilsP should definitely be on the list of Recognized Developers. His ROMs, as mentioned everywhere in this thread, are some of the most stable out there.
+1 to add him.
I haven't personally used any of his roms, but he deserves to be a recognized developer for all the work he does.

Dear Devs,
I know the ground rules. I just have a suggestion. Working on Sense UI 3.0, well it might succeed but there will be some of the features not working due to lack of compatibility. So it might be a good Idea to tweak and modify the TW 4.0 so it may behave and look like Sense UI 3.0. As I said just a suggestion.
Good Luck Guys, You are The inspiration to the Vice and Novice.
Sense on SGS2 would be so awesome
Im rooting for you guys!!! if you guys end up with a usable build a donation link would be great as I'm totally up to donate some

Alirez_sos the developer has been in the General forums and has said there maybe a new release sometime on Saturday, fingers crossed.
The thread for Sabsa 3.0 was closed for a dispute over permissions to use code from other roms, hopefully the new rom will iron all of that out and see can start using the best sense 4 out there for the DHD.

If you dont want that, dont do open source.
For example, I've spent a lot of time to fill GPS maps on OpenStreetMap, I ask no thank you, I did it for the community, it is open source, it is to think of others not to move wasting time, then time is wasted and we lost one of the best DHD ROM, for a thank you... in this case thank EVERY Android developers Android in google team, and all those who helped to get there, the list goes on...
Use search next time & post in the correct sections.

[BOUNTY] Get Scott (scrosler) a Galaxy Note 10.1!

Nothing to see here. Move along peeps!
I am all for more development, but this feels like a slap in the face to the current developers who work hard to put out roms like CM10 or Redemption or Trainwreck and whatnot. If this guy wants a note, he can buy one. Lets donate to the developers who are already spending their time making the roms and tweaks for our device.

Hello everyone! Today I am here to start a bounty thread to get Scott aka scrosler a Galaxy Note 10.1! For those who aren't familiar with Scott or his roms, he is the developer of 'CleanROM'. A fast, reliable rom based on stock that is constantly maintained by Scott himself! I personally run CleanROM on my Verizon Galaxy S3 and love it so much that CleanROM should also be on my new toy, the Galaxy Note 10.1!
NOTE: Scott will be receiving the N8013 variant of this tablet!
To get a sense of his development with other devices, head over to his official website: http://www.scottsroms.com/content.php
To donate, head over to Scott's Paypal in the link below and post the Unique Transaction ID AND how much you donated in the post so I can keep track at how much we raised.
ALL donors will be listed in the OP with specifics for organization purposes!
Bounty Goal:
Raise up to $500 for Scott to receive a 16 GB Galaxy Note 10.1 with a color of his choice.
Together, we CAN do it! Let the donations begin!!!

Stupid question. He just stopped supporting the TF700 so he could focus on the N10. Why would he be interested in the Note? And if he was, why couldn't the same thing happen to the Note that happened to his support of the TF700 too? Scott's great and I've used his stuff since the WinMo days but buying a device for a dev with limited time doesn't guarantee their support. Has Scott himself made any type of commitment to the Note or is this a Field of Dreams "build it and they will come?"

I asked him if it was possible to support the Note 10.1. He said it's not too hard to make a rom. He even suggested to me to start a donation thread (which I obviously have) so he can support it and he said that 'he'll be all over it.' Here's what he said to me regarding devices he receives by donations: "I can only buy these fun toys with the donations I get from the community. Sadly I am not rich and rely on donations to update to the latest and greatest!"
So my guess is that the majority of devices he supports and develops are from donations anyway. I own two devices that he currently develops for (VZW S3 and Nexus 7) and they both are heavily supported by him. I would also assume that he'd support the Note 10.1 just as much.

Not heard of him and didn't see him doing any roms for the s3 and there is cm10 and other good roms anyway and from your explanation the rom you're trying to promote really offers nothing new.

Atrix 4G kernel appreciation thread

I felt I needed to put up this thread due to the confusion of what can and cannot be posted in the other kernel threads. I would like to say a HUGE thank you to all the devs involved and the kernel testers. I am finally making use of the kernel thanks to epinters 10.1 ROM. Woah what a difference its like a new phone and still only alpha!!!! So to all the devs and the testers you are achieving things that I have seen go stagnant or fail on other projects for other platforms so many many many times. I hope this thread will help you all feel valued. This has to be one of the more hardcore coding projects and you are achieving milestones and a great rate. So if everyone would like to give thanks to those involved please use this thread so the devs will get the pats on the backs they deserve.
If a mod could add a complete list of the devs that would be great or if Kristian or epinter can send me a complete list I'll add it to the post, complete with their roles would be nice.
So once again your achievements truly are great may your success continue

Oh make no mistakes I'll will be making a donation, had I been working I would have already. I just think its important for the devs to read words of thanks, encouragement and praise for their efforts. I've posted in other threads before showing my admiration for what the devs have achieved only to have it deleted and my post I believed help give some idea to other users how difficult a task had been taken on. So please people if you feel the devs should receive a pat on the back then please post in this thread
