Does the nexus 10 have haptic feedback? - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good question. I miss haptic feedback on the N7, especially when typing. Probably will have though, if Samsung had any input. That, and they're not trying to keep the margins as razor-thin as they were on the N7 (it has a rear camera, for instance, and an EXPENSIVE display and SoC, not just a "good enough" display and bargain-bin SoC).

Well, the Galaxy Nexus has haptic feedback which is a Google flagship product manufactured by Samsung, so I don't see why not.

Yes it does. Read it in one review either Android police or Android Central. The reviewer said it found the feedback useful.

Agreed. I actually don't like typing on my Nexus 7 without the sound on (so I can 'hear' the keypresses). This isn't possible when I'm taking notes in class because I can't sit there and type my notes with the sounds on. I miss having haptic feedback on the Nexus 7, the typing experience is not as good as it could be unfortunately. The Nexus 10 having haptic feedback will be a nice change. I can still feel the keypresses without needing the sound on, so it'll work great for me in meetings, class, etc.

I looked at my girlfriend and coke came out of my nose when I read that. Thank you for the laugh of the day for me. That was simply, perfect.

I'm very glad to hear that the nexus 10 will have haptic feedback. I feel that this is missing from the nexus 7. I believe my old Samsung Galaxy tab 10.1 had it, and it's subtle but great feedback to have.
Thanks Google!

I personally don't get why people love haptic feedback, just IMO.

no but in all seriousness, I'm really considering this device. just hope the price is below 500$
Knowing Samsung, I'd expect it to undercut the iPad.
Although I have no use for something like this, I can see the great potential for it as a seller because it fills a great gap in between large tablets and smartphones. The 5-inch Streak is too tiny to be a serious tablet and too large as a phone. 7-inches might do the trick.
oooo buy me one too!
Thanks!
Can hold it with one hand? That's a plus. Although I don't know if it'll be comfortable, but at least you can do it.

This is definitely a plus. I believe the market is out there for a device this size.
The SGS Pad is something I might consider buying as an e-eader or portable video player. Otherwise it's not really gonna do anything my Vibrant doesn't. It just has a larger screen.
You guys know it's not called a "pad" right??
it is "TAB"
Let's not let this beauty have all the female jokes the iPad had
Can't wait for this either!
Hope it has an SAMOLED screen and supports TMobile 3g
Too small
I think the iPad's size is right. This is too small. But the iPad is too heavy. It needs to be as light as the Nook and as big as the iPad - and I think the Super Amoled Screen does reduce one layer of glass, so it might help. I wonder how much of the iPad's weight is the battery's weight.
Is this going to be carrier based or is it going to allow any average joe to walk in and just buy one? WiFi or cellar based? I don't need another cell phone, but at the same time I really don't need an over sized Vibrant and that is why its not going to sell like hot cakes. Well then again tons of people bought the iPad.

Agreed. There isn't much that I can do with 7 inches that I can't do with 4. I'll be waiting on a tablet with 10 inches of screen real estate or better.

I take notes at meetings and at school. So I'm gonna give this a try. We really lack a good note taking app though. Tab notes is the best so far and its not that great compared to one note.
I'd really love to use a stylus for sketching - could care less for note taking. But sketching would be great - only problem is, the tab isn't all that responsive - I mean, don't get me wrong - it's great. It's just wasn't built with that kind of functionality in mind... Which is unfortunate.
Still though, I'll get one eventually.
You know, I thought the same thing. I would draw something and the line would follow after. Using tabnotes it doesn't do that. I was looking for a mod to increase screen polling or responsiveness but nothing.
I ordered one, still no shipping info and no response to my email, oh well glad I paid with PayPal, if I don't hear anything in a few days, I will file a complaint with PayPal.

Mine shipped a day or two ago. These daily deal sites are slow.
The the BEST I've used.
DAGi P504. Don't have a link just Google. Transparent tip is mounted on a spring so no matter what angle your holding it, it will make contact. Very precise. I like it a lot better than the old style which you hat to hold at only one angle & much better than the eraser type.
Pointed tip Stylus?
Does anyone know of a stylus with a pointed rubber tip like the HTC Flyer one only usable on the A500? I would like one for some of the drawing programs and just can't get used to the rounded oversize points on most generic stylus.
Thanks
That's a nice stylus. I wonder if it does.
http://www.ipaddoodler.com/article/big-ipad-stylus-review
I know that says iPad but it's a great quick run down of a few stylus (styli?). I am really considering the Ostylus or the Dagi one, but they have a new model the 506 with a slightly different design.

A Nuukey bluetooth keyboard for the iPhone; I had seen one of these before online and thought if it could be some way retrofitted onto another phone. It was a

Youtube vid shows it on, slight modification necessary however. Definitely think I might do this once I have some money.
I think a USB keyboard in this form factor would be fantastic, less battery consumer, and it shouldn't be so hard with the USB-host support, I'm right?
Why we don't suggest it to Nuu?

I'm going to have to modify how its mounted before releasing instructions; I dont want anyone wasting their time or money.

Possibly the Best Camera App for Android is now testing on Nexus 5

This has been released for all other nexus devices, as well as the other popular phones. It's in testing for the N5 now! I am stoked!
http://news.cnet.com/8301-1035_3-57611881-94/it-wasnt-easy-but-camera-awesome-for-android-is-here/
It's not publically available for Nexus 5 yet though, so this thread feels premature. Cheers for the heads up, anyway.

That app is free on iOS. Bummer, but understandable as to why they made it a paid app.
Still waiting on Focal myself
Haven't gotten an answer on this in the other places I've asked. There are two different UIs shown in the pics for the app, one looks like iOS and the other looks like it may be a tablet UI. Can anyone confirm if the latter is a tablet UI. If it becomes the phone UI too it looks pretty nice.

is the Camera Awesome app really the best out there? The features look good but the reviews are terrible and not very many downloads...
anyone have real experience with it before I commit $3?
The interface on this app looks so cluttered. I wish someone would just blatantly copy the iOS 7 camera app instead of trying to make an app that has literally every feature but 30 on screen buttons. Just simplicity with necessary functionality. It shouldn't really be that hard.
