i m looking for Samsung-i917-Focus-firmware-UCJK3-ATT-USA_4K(Product_Force_Select_MD5_X) retail version i googling for it but i dont find anywhere , my hw rew is 1.4 , my phone stuck while i updating its stuck to samsung logo , then i try to flash with Samsung-i917-Focus-firmware-UCJK3-ATT-USA_4K but its not work i m looking for reatil version or other if its work with i917. is there any rom work with i917 1.4 . i try all rom its not work hope i found some idea to flashing it sorry for my poor english

See my post here, download Samsung-i917-Focus-firmware-UCJK3-ATT-USA_4K.exe and extract it.
For the Force_Select_MD5 downloader, go here for the 7.03 version. You can also check the 7.41 version there and I've also attached the 7.05 version.

Looks like an irrecoverable error
You're not supposed to flash 1.3 to 1.4 and the other way around! Read the wiki...

i try to install WP7_Downloader_Ver_7.05_for_Retail_Device_(Product_Force_Select_MD5_X) signed_phone_Cetus_ATT it flash sucsessfully bt still my phone stuck on samsung logo , then i realize that i install hd rev 1.3 now is there any way to erase rom & load hw rev 1.4 again ?

Used custom rom to flash. Tried DFT Freedom Focus Rev 1.4 8107 22langs, clean_rom_3.10a and 1.4版】Samsung I917 WP7.8 8835 CUSTOM ROM. No joy. I even flashed the factory rom Samsung-i917-Focus-firmware-UCJK3-ATT-USA_4K. All flash without error but stuck at the samsung logo. Please help. Ver 1.4 device

I'd think you downgrade the same way you upgrade don't know if there is an issue pertaining to the 2 versions you've mentioned!

let me tell you what I have done so fare.
I successfully upgrade the ROM but didn't like the features so decided to downgrade it back the older one which is orignal from t mobiles. initially it went very well but when it reached upto 25% the the Pc turned off and the MDA pro as well.
After that I cant see the full deatails it only shows no gsm and D.2.00.41 WWE,on boating screen and device information shows:

ROM date 08/08/07
Radio Version . .........
Protocol Version ...
ExROM Version .............
After this when ever I tried to upload the older(orignal T.Mobile) versoion it showa an error "ERROR 120 .Country ID code" or some thing like this
or "the rome image that you are trying to use is not designed to work on your device please contact vendor web into and download the correct ROM updat".
i download the older verson from tha same source but still not working.
and let me tell you that my MDA is every thing for me .
plz if you have any suggestion i'll be waiting .

I already did this - the error in the bootloader mode is 270 - the same connection problem - if u know more about this please help me!
When i was testing this version i have observed that other ROM does not flash! It`s a little bizzare!
When i try to flash normally i get the error 260 - regarding connection problems!
I uderstand that i`m not the only one with this problem - any suggestions?
For the momment it looks like i`m stuck on that ROM - i will try these http://trinityguides.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=16&Itemid=67 for the beggining but i dont have any official ROM to change...

Ok for the first i have find more about this problem:
Upgrade error number 270 means that the bootloader is not correct for the rom i am trying to flash (seems that i have installed a different Hard SPL on my device.

I need some help on this one. I'm still not getting the FroYo update (or the pre-update(2.1-update1).
stock/un-rooted
2.1
non-branded/SIM lock free
I did tried to manually update true the recovery mode, but I'm getting "E:signature verification failed. Installation aborted." messages on every update.zip file(obtained true http://zubu.ca/legend/fota_check.php).
The phone is USB-bricked after a failed custom rom flash.
stock rom, no usb data, no sd card(managed to fix that).
I live in the Netherlands and did see that a lot of other Dutch people got there first and second update(via comments on Androidworld.nl).
Any suggestions are welcome. I'm out of idea's
At this point I'd unbrick and root it... both howtos are in development...

How about when you try update RUU ROM on a goldcard? Did you try that? Just suggesting...

DAMNED, got to 2.1-update1 no problem. update 2.2 done and now it keeps rebooting.

Another RUU broke the loop. all is fine now
OK after a reboot it still ends up in a endless boot loop(white screen, htc logo).
Am unable to go into the recovery mode.
Did you do a full wipe? It is usually needed when fiddling around like this...
you most certainly can get to recovery, vol down + power and then recovery? No?
Clear what you can and you'll see...
Fast-bootloader and bootloader are accessible but recovery is not. I get the same boot loop. However If i try to run a RUU it get the phone up to the black screen with htc logo. then RUU comes with a "cant find device" error and quits. the phone then boots normal on its own. USB is still broken btw.
It looks like you got the error at the worst momnent you could while flashing the first RUU... I still think it is possible to flash boot onlyby the legeimg.zip file at the very beginning (you'll notice the green text flashing in few lines) but that is a bit over my head... Maybe someone will know?
If that fails, I'd take my legend for warranty repair and lie through my teeth to have done nothing to the phone
I did try the legeimg.zip thing. but that didn't work. and i wont be having any warranty because i got this phone via a colleague of my dad. just the phone and charger.

Also my phone is not unlocked. It was once but i updateded it and i lost my unlock so I'm back to normal...

Have exactly the same problem. (defy+) was running a cm based custom ROM, installation got messed up and tried to flash a retail SBF, but after every flash I get a black screen. Also looking for a solution
