[Q] Snapdragon 4 Pro video/audio codec support - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The Qualcomm Website, LG website (for the Optimus G), Google's Nexus 4 website, nor any reviews I've found thus far, have mentioned exactly what audio/video the Snapdragon s4 Pro supports in regard to hardware acceleration. There's the basic 'h.264 support' listed, but no mention of which profile (probably High), and what level (e.g. 4.0, 4.1). High Profile Level 4.1, for example, would be the minimum for playback of unmodified Blu Ray video. Then there's things like Hi10p support, container support, etc.
Can someone with Qualcomm dev access ferret out the actual video & audio codec and container hardware acceleration support for the S4 Pro?

VideoCore drivers released [PRO/DUOS]

As it is stated here: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/broadcom-releases-egl-drivers-for-samsung-galaxy-y/
Braodcom has released the EGL drivers for the VideoCore IV GPU found in the Galaxy Y family of devices, including the Duos and Pro Duos devices.
As I understand, this is quite a powerfull chip capable of even supporting display resolution of up to Full HD: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VideoCore
Using these drivers would allow us to unlock the full potential of our devices and make them snappier, while providing the following capabilities:
- Smoother UI.
- Full HW acceleration in games.
- Hardware decoding for watching Hi-Res videos which would stutter otherwise.
- Hardware encoding so we can capture video at higher resolutions. [not sure about that]
Developers, please add this to your ROMs/kernels.
Thank you!

High Configuration HD Android TV Box

"Hi, are there any HD Android TV boxes with high configuration that not only support 4K play but also we can watch HD videos and do voice chat and video chat with available in the market? And what kind of CPUs and models do they have? And how about the price?"
Currently, there are the following CPUs that support HD and 4K video play,
1.Allwinner A80 A31 CPU
2.Rockchips RK3288 CPU
3.Amlogic S802 CPU
According to your need, most people will choose CS918S or CS928 from these mainstream Android TV Boxes in the market at sz-csq.com .
Android TV Box CS918S adopts A31 CPU of Allwinner, built-in 2GB DDR3, 16GB FLASH and a built-in 5 mega-pixel camera. This kind of settings should be top in the current market. You can use the camera to chat through Skype. The video it makes can be as good as 1080P. Moreover, it supports 4K video play. Thus, if you take on-line video play and Skype video chat into account, more people prefer CS918S.
CS928S adopts RK3288 CPU, 2G DDR, 16G FLASH and a 5 mega-pixel camera as the one mentioned. Customers prefer games and ultra-large types of videos, they would choose CS928. Of course, some customers like karaoke, video chat and games, and then they tend to choose CS4K which is another high-end machine.
If you are one of those enthusiastic fans, you can choose CS-Q8 for sure. It is equipped with Octa-Core CPU, thirty-two nucleus GPU, 4G DDR, 32G FLASH and meanwhile it can be connected to the SATA hard disk. However, I assume the price would be quite expensive.
About XBMC, basically, all current Android TV boxes have the XBMC of their own version built in. It is the fundamental function of TV boxes nowadays, so there is no need to worry about the use of XBMC.

Bluetooth aptX codec support?

I am interested in high quality bluetooth audio and aptX /aptX HD are preferred codec protocols for that. Now that Qualcomm acquired CSR, they own the aptX technology. On their web page there is an aptX compatibility link, where, for Motorola Phones we can see listed Moto G and Moto X, but the pictures are from the first generation phones.
For "aptX HD" I found only the latest flagship LG phones and Luna.
I wonder if there is a way to add aptX codec support to the G4 phones.
Solved here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/help/bluetooth-aptx-codec-t3504332

Will we get Daydream Support (minimum specs listed)?

I know that we will need Nougat to get Daydream support...
Can anyone verify if our phone meets all the specs?
If we don't get official support, I'm guessing we can add it through a ROM?
Here are the technical requirements for Daydream VR-ready phones (source: http://www.androidauthority.com/daydream-vr-ready-phones-specs-727780/):
MUST have at least 2 physical cores.
MUST support sustained performance mode.
MUST support Vulkan Hardware Level 0 and SHOULD support Vulkan Hardware Level 1.
MUST support H.264 decoding at least 3840 x 2160 @ 30fps-40Mbps.
MUST support HEVC and VP9, MUST be capable to decode at least 1920 x 1080 @ 30 fps-10Mbps and SHOULD be capable to decode 3840 x 2160 @ 30fps-20Mbps (equivalent to 4 instances of 1920 x 1080 @ 30fps-5Mbps).
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to support android.hardware.sensor.hifi_sensors feature and MUST meet the gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer related requirements for android.hardware.hifi_sensors
MUST have an embedded screen, and its resolution MUST be at least be Full HD (1080p) and STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to be Quad HD (1440p) or higher
MUST measure between 4.7″ and 6″ diagonal
MUST update at least 60 Hz while in VR Mode
The display latency on Gray-to-Gray, White-to-Black, and Black-to-White switching time MUST be ≤ 3 ms
The display MUST support a low-persistence mode with ≤5 ms persistence
Device implementations MUST support Bluetooth 4.2 and Bluetooth LE Data Length Extension.
Maybe
Maybe seen that Zenfone Ar has the same processor.

10bit HEVC HW decoding support?

Hello!
I'm wondering if the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite supports hardware decoding for 10bit HEVC video? I'm worried since the Samsung website doesn't explicitly say 10-bit, only HEVC.
Also, how would you say the screen compares to IPS paneled tablets? I heard it's definitely not as good as the more expensive AMOLEDs, but what about against IPS tablets (since they are at a similar price point)?
Thanks all!
