[HOWTO] Remove The Unlocked Bootloader Warning logo - RAZR HD General

Hello,
After the unlock of the bootloader via Motorola Website, you have probably noticed the M logo has been replaced by a Warning message...
Here is the solution to restore M logo :
Extract the file in attachement in the same folder as fastboot, you will find "logo.bin" file.
Enter in Fastboot mode :
- Shutdown your phone
- Push and maintain VOL DOWN and press POWER to boot your phone (A black screen with white lines should appear)
- Plug USB Cable
Flash the M Logo with fastboot :
- fastboot flash logo logo.bin (success message should appears in the DOS windows)
- Unplug USB cable
- Press POWER and the phone will shutdown
- Start your phone with long press on POWER and check your M Logo.
Bye

Very nice.. Thank you for figuring this out!

Thanks for this. Works like a charm.
One Question: Any chance to get the 'Motorola Dual Core Technology' boot logo?
Thanks in advance!

Give me the picture your want 540x540 px and it should be possible.
Edit : you can try the one in attachement :
fastboot flash logo dual_core.bin

To complain on a high level I would say the image could be a little bit larger...
But it's absolutely OK for me. Thanks a lot!

I'm currently trying to make it bigger, but not sure about the quality.

Try this one... quality could be better, but I'm just resizing it...

That's it mate! This one looks absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much!

I prefer this one (in attachement)

very nice thank you so much it's very cool

Thanks a lot for this, I found the warning to be annoying lol

Thanks all here for this logo ;p

Just exhange my RAZR V for a HD ;p Love the unlocked bootloader ;p ... remember me the atrix ;p

Hey guys, does anyone have a windows binary to create custom logos please? Thanks!

Thanks - replaced the annoying startup with the last Dual Core Logo.

i need the Original logo for Razr i...
i try this and only get loop on fastboot

http://sbf.droid-developers.org/smi/list.php
Download the firmware file for your device from that link and flash the stock logo with fast boot.

Thanks Orphee! Just out of curiousity, where did you pull these logos from? Do you have a program that'll modify boot images?

http://aosp.us/?p=260
That link is where P3Droid posted this method originally for the RAZR M.
You can use any image file you want after resizing and saving as a raw file using GIMP.

Didn't work with GIMP for me, don't know what I did wrong. But worked like a charm with Photoshop.

Now I just need to find an image editor that can save in RAW format. Yes, I know GIMP is free...

If your motorola xoom stuck on M logo and Dual core screen..... (Wifi only.)

Hi,
My Xoom was stuck on M logo and Dual Core screen. It was nightmare.
Finally I found out and mine is okay now. Here is instruction and all files that you need....
filesonic[dot]com/file/1075278424/Xoom.rar
1. AndroidSDK Folder ( Put it on under C:/ )
2. Remote NDIS based Internet Sharing Device folder (if new driver found message popup locate this folder. It is just for Driver.)
3. usbdeview Folder ( If you have usb problem run this small program and remove old usb driver.)
Okay here we go....
first thing let your xoom stuck on M logo.
Then hold power+volume up.
while power up press volume down to get firstboot.(make sure your PC and xoom know each other.)
You will see some text firstboot bla bla bla on left, top of screen.
Second thing open window cmd.exe
then type ...
cd /AndroidSDK/tools
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot
wait for reboot. You will see splash screen and you smile on your face.
Don't forget to update to 3.1.
Enjoy Guys......
Thanks!!! Really helpfull!!!!
Works perfectly saved me a lot of time. I came across this post early into my search. Much appreciated
Why does it get stuck like that? Can this happen to stock xooms I assume no?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Ok so I got into the same problem while encrypting my Xoom running stock Rom. Tried calling Motorola to find out only solution they had to offer was to factory reset. duh...
then tried to down load the file from your link. It timed out twice and the Filesonic is terrible, first time the wait time to download was 10 seconds, then it jumped to 10 minutes (that is before the download link would even appear).
Then I started messing with my xoom and pressed "Power+ Vol up + Vol down" all at the same time to cold reboot.... whola.... back in business.
Hope this helps others too....
Hi,
found the thread cause my xoom stuck too on the logo.
Thread safed my life, xoom is working now fine! Thank's a lot!
you all are welcome........
Hey guys, so I tried following this procedure, but for some reason it wont let me flash system.img. I can load up fastboot fine, and can even flash boot.img, but system.img keeps getting stuck and erroring.
It says "sending 'system' <262144 KB>... FAILED <data transfer failure <Too many links>>"
Any thoughts?
Alas! You have saved me so much trouble and effort. Thank you!
what about 3G ??
how can i solve ??
Also, you can get the images from motodev were the instructions are also posted above the downloads.
Sent from my CMDX
Do you have any soloution for Motorola Xoom 3g & Wifi model.
I have the same problem on my device and it is unusable.
Tried everything, still stuck at logo
I have tried everything to get this thing past the logo. full restore with system images from moto's site through fastboot, everything says it was successful yet when it reboots its still stuck. Please someone help!!
BTW Wifi us xoom, it was given to me in this state and I do not know how it got to this point, but I believe user was not technically inclined and was probably not rooting or flashing.
I would just wait longer.... if the davlik cache is erased it can take ages...
If not go ahead and repeat the steps.. but i thing you should be adding
fastboot userdata userdata.img
This is what i had done when i was stuck
Assuming its unlocked (sorry a bit daft to say)
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot erase cache
Reboot and see if that works.... I have flashed every possible rom (official) using this and was stuck at the 'M' in a few.. ;-)
Oh Man... Thank
Thank you.....
Nothing could be compared to the relief you gave me.
I was so depressed right now.
Thank you for this awesome post

I hit the thanks button by mistake, but since there are no take backs, help the next guy in order to earn it. In the meantime, you should thank those who have helped you here.
How long is an acceptable time to wait for boot past the moto logo before I give up hope and follow this?
**EDIT
I figured the download time for this file was long enough.
It worked.
Thank you so much.
Solution worked perfect for me but now I got a worse situation, Would mind taking a look at this post??

Hi,
I am new to xda and new to world of android as well...
couple of hours back I formatted the primary partition of my xoom and which led my moto xoom [rooted (3.2) with clockmod recovery installed] to struck at moto logo.
I followed your guide and was able to get my device working to 3.0.1, however I was not able to upgrade it any further and was struck there.
however, after reading some more articles on xda I came across the below mentioned link, which has all the stock files of all the various versions of xoom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1052644
so I reflashed the above files and now I am again back in business...
Again, thanks a lot for your post.
p.s It would be great if you can add a note on the original post to ask users to use specific files from the above link.
apologies if I have misunderstood anything in the very first place!

Nexus 10 stuck in boot loop.. please help!!!

So, I was using Zedomax's how to root N10 tutorial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wVlI-gWppCA#at=261)... I had everything working fine up until about 4:15 in the video when his restarts mine just gets stuck in boot loop and displays the nexus bootloader for an unlimited amount of time. My device does however show that it is unlocked because when I go back through the process it says it is already unlocked as you can see in the pictures. the first is the cmd I used and the second is what the N10 shows after "fastboot oem unlock"... I am completely lost and have tried over and over to find the problem... I have tried to unroot and restore but I cant even find a working file that isnt malicious... ANY AND ALL HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED...

I can help you get back to stock, that should fix everything. You will erase everything and have to start whatever you were working on again. So back it up before hand if you can.
So first you need to be sure you have TODAYS latest updates to the fastboot.exe program, do this by installing the SDK from Google, then launching the update manager and doing all updates. See this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38961605&postcount=5
Then you need to do what styckx says. Be sure to click 'Thanks' under his posts. The only thing that you may find is hard to understand is, if you download that from Google and it end up as .tar you have to rename it to .tgz to have it extract correclty. See this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38091931&postcount=210
EDIT - If you did oem unlock and were stuck at the X bootlogo then there is an easier fix than what I describe. You state you are stuck at bootloader. Just FYI
Good luck!

yes. that is common w/ these after oem unlock. on that fastboot screen you posted, the one you get to by holding the certain key sequence at boot - use the volume keys to select Recovery, then use the start button to boot to that mode. This confuses people because at that point it looks broken - all you see is a triangle with an error X in it (or something like that.) BUT from that screen you access another menu, do this by briefly pressing power volume up and volume down in little spurts. it sounds wierd, but you do that for up to 20 seconds and you'll finally get it. its just hard to enter so you have to do it like that otherwise you go crazy trying. once you've accessed that menu you will know because its all text. using the navigation choose 'factory wipe' and wipe it. after that your N10 will boot like normal. be aware - navigation on that text only menu is tricky.

[Q] LG d802 recovery hell

Hi All,
I hoping some kind soul will guide/lend a helping hand here?
Here's my problem, I own an LG G2 d802, running kk4.2.2, rooted via towelroot.
Today I decided to for the first time to delve into the world of custom ROM's and what a mistake it was
Basically I downloaded TWRP for d802(img), gapps(d802 version), and cm Resurrection Remix and then I made the fatal mistake of using Flashify to flash TWRP to my phone and rebooting. After doing this I can no longer enter download mode, recovery mode, and when I try to go to either I get the ERROR: boot certification verify: secure booting error.
When I i plug my phone into my computer (drivers & LG support tool installed) my computer recognizes my device, however it displays around 10 or so removable drives i.e f, g, r etc and lots of messages appear saying i need to format them before they can be used and Support tool doesn't recognize my phone as being connected at all
I have searched lots of threads and now realize that Instead of using Flashify I should have used Autorec(lesson learned), I have also searched for possible solutions and the only
one which looks remotely viable is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142
My only problem is I have LG G2 d802 32gb model and the files in the above guide/solution are for the LG G2 d802 16gb 10a and even then if they was the correct files I think i would still have a very hard time following/using the files to make my phone live again and also have no knowledge/exp with Linux distro's.
I am a total noob/idiot and don't have a clue how I am going to fix my phone and have pretty much pulled out whats left of my hair in despair!!
Please help me.
Kindest regards, Dark.

I am literally going insane now is there no one here that can even be so kind to say if the above is even the correct way for me to go? or point out a way which may be better or a step by step/link to things I need?
I really don't have the exp/confidence or knowledge to be bale to know if its correct or not and really don't want to make things worse by trying something that may not be right
Can find threads and websites which have similar type situation but all seem to have slightly different to my own as most can seem to have download mode or still be able to boot their OS but i cant do either.
is this below method any use for my situation?

You say in your original post you're running KK 4.2.2. 4.2.2 is Jellybean not KitKat, so which one are you running exactly?
If you didn't use AutoRec your bootloader should still be a Kitkat Bootloader since AutoRec's job is to downgrade your Bootloader to Jellybean.
There are 2 ways to access Recovery Mode on a G2 depending on the current Bootloader.
Method 1 (Jellybean Bootloader)
Turn G2 Off. Hold PWR + VOL DWN, when LG Logo appears let go and hold PWR + VOL DWN.
Method 2 (KitKat Bootloader)
Turn G2 Off. How PWR + VOL DWN, when LG Logo appears, let go and hold VOL UP + VOL DWN.
Do either of those work?

Well since you can't access Recovery Mode, you can't access Download Mode and your receiving a Boot Error, It sounds like your only option here is to follow this tutorial.
As for the files you need, you have a 32GB D802. Download this .7z package and extract it. You'll find all the .img files you need. Now follow the tutorial .
