Hi Everyone,
I had created a zip file based on the latest CM10 zip for myself with apps picked from the Nexus4 dump.
Thought I would share it here.
I have added all the apps which I have found to be working without giving FCs.
Mind you it is highly experimental and may give FCs..Flash it at your own risk.

I am using it...everything seems to work ..but I have not tested all the features.

Try out the new Camera and Gesture Typing...you will not regret it..
You can try it out by Dual Booting it
If the apps work why not make a flashable zip for the stock jb roms?

Because some Apps like the Email app is dependant on the stock Framework-res and may not work on Sammy ROMs..

ok, thanks a lot....
Flashed it and been playing around with for a while. Everything is working great, noticeably less buggy than the 4.2 I tried with PA; somehow ended up with a mix of 4.2/4.1 apps which was causing FCs all over the place.
Unfortunately the camera/gallery are as buggy as hell, *sigh*, the gallery itself works fine just the usual GS3 ASOP camera issues. I did have some fun with the image sphere mode!
Added more screenshots to OP.
Can some one pls check if there are Sync issues??
Have you by any chance been able to get the camera to save pictures to ext. sd?

I tried it on my sgs3. Wipe and factory rest, Wipe Cache and Dalvik. Lots of FC. Gmail is 4.2 but pinch and zoom doesn't work. Gallery and Photosphere neither, lots of FC with camera. Otherwise everything works perfectly. Thanks for the job but I' ll try something else...

0- Download CM10_with_Android4.2_apps.zip from Zoot1 and JB_GAPPS_4.2_FULL.zip
1- wipe factory and wipe cache
2- Install CM10_with_Android4.2_apps.zip
3- JB_GAPPS_4.2_FULL.zip
4- Reboot

Market seems to work; it fixed itself after attempting to download a file from the browser

It's called BlueAce as the Cyan in Cyanogenmod basically means blue. I'll try and make a theme that reflects this.

Defo need to fix screenshot capturing
Few apps force close, Camera doesn't save picture to gallery, gallery sometimes forecloses anyway so not such a stable day to day rom at all yet i'll wait for updates.
Market didn't fix itself for me :/ and yes iv'e done a full wipe before installing, speed is there - Score 1800 with Quadrant but until it works at least 99% back to TheMyth it is, Good job though

The market isn't FCing, it's the.media scanner. The FC strangely seems to fix itself. I know about the screenshot problem and as you can see I had to to use Drocap.
Regarding the Camera, it does save, it's the media scanner that stops you from viewing them - you can use the Estrong gallery. The same happens with the Music app.

It's a quick rom i'll give you that fastest score iv'e had from any other rom, buts it's a new rom and new roms have problems, almost like trying to run before you can walk, ill wait for update or might just keep this and tinker about Very good work though [ Best Quadrant Score For Me -1809 ]
This is the Gallery app from CM 10.1 Rom by LGICS
Its working fine on Neko's ICYSNAP so will work with all ICS Roms
This single gallery app includes both CM 10.1 Camera and Gallery App.
The Gallery App will be replaced and there will be an another Camera App.

1. Use any file explore and copy gallery app from /system/app to sd card.
2. Use adb

Reverting back to the CM 9 Gallery App
1. Download this System Apps Installer
2. Install the ICS Gallery app using the System Apps Installer..

I answered my own call: it doesn't work (GingerDX v.29 here): once installed, and opened (camera and gallery), error says (translated): unexpected termination of the application Gallery (process com.android.gallery3d). Retry.

You can use terminal comands or simply download My Phone Explorer which is a PC Suite for android

Everything works except panorama and photo editing
I have removed the ROM's stock camera and gallery apps and I am using Camera JB+ on it as a system app instead of the stock ones... is it because of that?

No because I installed it by over writing the gallery app and it replaced my gallery app and I have 2 camera app now.

I can't download this (get to the screen where it warns that the file is too large to scan for viruses and click on the link that says "download anyway"), but I really, really want to!

I even tried to select the option to use Drive to download it, and it wanted to use Archive Viewer, and it downloaded, and then I couldn't save it as a zip.

a md5 would be useful for such a big download, just saying...
EDIT: also, is there a reason for two system folders in the zip? (/system and /system/system) cause that is where the big file size is coming from ...
Managed to get this up and running. Had some problems with FC's but those seemed to have worked themselves out.
Need to play with it some more and download again to rule out those pesky FC's.

I downloaded this ROM and it seemed pretty good but I am experiencing a lot of force closes as well. Gapps is force closing, Google.acore, the launcher was also another thing that force closed. Is there fix to these? I see someone else said they seemed to work themselves out but mine has not so far after 2 reboots. One other thing that is force closing that is BIG for me was Facebook.
Fresh install wiped everything before and after install. I also tried fixing permissions.
Edit:
I'm also having issues with downloading content from the playstore. For example I've downloaded XDA but its not showing in my app drawer. I have to open the playstore and then click open to access the app. Most apps will not even download. I get an error stating I Dont have efficient space which is not true at all.
Will downloading new gaps fix this issue and if so where can I obtain the latest gapps file?

Put in the OP that you have to format all partitions in ext3. Also you may need to change the updater script in your zip to format in ext3.

I'm having no issues downloading this so far. It's not done yet but it's downloading none the less. And this file size is small compared to some of the Sense roms I've installed

Im re-uploading the rom bc i accidentaly had 2 system folders haha, the new file size is 257mbs, should be up w/in the next 2 hours, make sure you read the install instructions this time

solved i deleted wifi folder in rar file and replace whit the hold rom and works fine now =)
Wifi works perfectly even without changing the zip file! Just do all wipes before installing the rom.
Btw great rom, i'm loving it
EDIT: OP, you should make the lockscreen work on all the screen... Now just a small part is usable

Ahh getting it to unlock in all directions was a tedious job but still I think its better than the previous icysnap versions which could unlock only when swiped only upwards !!

Hello.
I don't know if its only me with this problem, but... after all wipes and fresh install, at that screen where i put my gmail account, mobile network was down with an error android.proces. bla bla bla has stopped.
reboot, everything ok second time but lol, after few minutes same error...
now when i write this post, again, com.android.phone has stopped
Well i dont think this rom is smoother than jb 11.2 rom by spacecacker.Can someone confirm it?
What about the camera bug,youtube hq bug & battery draining issue in all these cm9 based roms?

Flashable zip of the new 4.4.1 camera with HDR+ libs to work properlyTested and working fine on CM11
Instructions:
Download zip from attachments
Flash in recovery
Reboot
Thanks to proxuser for the old HDR+ fixing zip which points out which files were needed
This should also work if you are using a ROM with the AOSP camera without HDR too

Force closes when I try and open it. Using stock. Any suggestions?
Edit: went into system/app and installed googlecamera.apk. Seems to be working now.

Yes, I left that line in by mistake from the old version of my zip of this

Flashed on my S3 running PA 4.4 (not expecting it to work just wanted to try) and FFC causes reboot. Also I cant find the setting to pick HDR or HDR+. Thanks for this though!
I manually installed the apk and libs so I could make backups of the originals. So far everything works great. Thank you!

Not sure if its my device but when going into photo app and click on one of my pictures there's a paint brush share button and trash can at the bottom, but I'm unable to use them...

Only one way to find out! Backup and try it
Honestly though I doubt it. I assume most if not all of the changes made to the camera were Nexus 5 specific, which is why 4.4.1 only went out to the 5 and not the 4.
Didnt work when i flashed it but manual install worked like a charm!! thanks!!

I flashed and it works, I don't see an option for HDR+ but that is probably because I'm using a N4
