I have flashed the latest SEE (South Eastern Europe - I8190XXALJL_I8190OXXALJ8_HOME.tar.md5 ) using ODIN v3.04 and I still haven't unlocked the phone
It is cell locked to Vodafone Romania
I guess I gotta pay the 10$ to unlock it at a Vodafone shop.
Stupid cell lock!

As I really hate private messages, I post here the procedure for flashing official SEE firmware:
http://www.tsar3000.com/Joomla/inde...and-stock-firmware&catid=57:how-to&Itemid=104
Important notices!
1. If the firmware package contains only one big file then use it in PDA field and no need to check Re.Partition option or use Pit file.
2. The Update or Flash operation will not Sim-Unlock your device

I already read your instruction but i cannot find where the PIT file. I really need it so much. can you tell me how to get it or attach it over here?

What I meant was that you should flash the firmware again without any PIT file selected following the instructions in my post above.

Help debranding i5800

Hello am very new to android. Have just got a I5800 that was originally on t mobile. Its unlocked now but i want to flash a generic official rom. I know how to root it if needs be. Could someone advise me on how to go about the debranding.
Thanks in advance
Sent from my GT-I5800 using XDA App
Go to samfirmware.com there you'll find roms (official). Search here in the forum for a flashing guide...
ok i have just found the flashing guide.
i forgot to ask about the CSC. i have a diffrent windows mobile samsung (omnia lite b7300) and when i flashed this for the first time i never knew about the CSC.
my question is this. i assume flashing one package will also flash the CSC, and on the winmo omnia lite the CSC had details of the operators that the data settings are automatically recognised for.
is this the same for android devices and if so does anyone have a UK English CSC for the i5800 or is there any way i can back it up and reflash or am i just worrying about nothing
thanks for your help
Well if you're asking that if you flash one package, it will also flash the csc? Probable and if you want a csc for i5800 just download jpf.
yeah looks like JPF has a english CSC.. hope it has provider settings for the uk lol.
am gonna go try flash when the firmwares downloaded hopefully il be ok.
thanks everyone for your fast replys
anyone got any english i5800 roms with CSC included before i smash it out of frustration. loved this phone before this
found the language option but i still need a english uk default rom or csc because of service proivider settings and when i hard reset
Well download a rom from here and flash and you should be on froyo in the u.k and if not try finding an XW rom

just found that you can change the CSC and product code same way you do with another phone (the SGS i think)
*#272*imei#
where imei is your imei
also hard resets, but on reboot it asked me if i was o2 prepay postpay or tesco mobile.
PERFECT!
off to see wat KIES says.
EDIT :
This device cannot be updated
PDA:JPM / PHONE : JP4 / CSC : JPF (XEU)
Not that that matters i have the right csc

[URGENT]Request to upload SFR branded I9100BUKJ3 firmware

Hi guys,
Sorry to post this in general, but since I don't have 10 posts I'm unable to post my request in the [ROMS]Official i9100 carrier branded firmware download for Odin Flash - xda-developers thread.
Since Multiupload is down, is there anyone able to reupload the French SFR branded I9100BUKJ3 firmware? (PDA:BUKJ3| PHONE:BUKI1| CSC:SFRKI3)
I need the firmware urgently - I have a phone with corrupt /efs that I'm unable to recover (have tried the steps here: [GUIDE] Recover your IMEI in 9 steps. - xda-developers).
Apologies if I've missed a thread/post somewhere, I've searched the GSII forums and Google extensively with no luck.
AFAIK flashing another rom won't help a corrupt /EFS folder because CSC only holds carrier info (APN's and stuff) not IMEI info. But you can contact someone to restore it (search around it's in that topic you said you've checked).
I'm aware flashing another ROM won't save it, just trying to get it back to the stock shipped firmware to return it to the supplier and get it repaired/replaced as it's still under warranty.

No good. Can't get a product code from the phone, so I can't run the app.
EDIT: Found the firmware I was looking for. Can be downloaded from here: rapidlibrary.com /files /gt-i9100-sfr-1-20111024140811-zip_ulz9wt98qyi99on .html

Hello guys,i hope i won`t bother you to long with my thread .I`ve recently got a sgs with 2.2 froyo and now i am thinking of flashing gingerbread on it . I am reading and reading all the posts on this forum for 2 days now and i think i`m ready but i need your aproval on this.
So now my pda is i9000xwjpa ,and i`ve searced on sammobile the right rom for my location (romania that is ) and i`ve selected xxjvu for open europe because my country does not apear listed there so i belive that open europe is the one (that was the first thing on witch i need it aproval) .
Second thing, i have downloaded from sammobile the i9000 flash program (odin ,like dhaaa ) but i have three versions of it and three pit files. I understand that i have to use the 512 pit ,but what version of odin to use din 3 v1.3 or v1.0 . In my opinion the latest the better no ?
third, i will use this tutorial over here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1139050 is it wrong to use it ?
Another thing ,i don`t want to do backup because i don`t need nothing except contacts but i have them on my sim alwready will they be erased to?
And the last thing do i have to take the sim out of the phone ?
Thanks ,and i hope you won`t get upset of this thread ,i know that this is a very very very large forum and i have watched the clip from the first page ,but i don`t have anyone to talk to and i don`t afford to lose my phone or it`s gps function cause i depend in a sort of way on them . Thanks again for your suport

[ROM] Official Israeli SGS3 Roms

All official operator roms have full Hebrew/Arabic menus and keyboards with full RTL support.
Please leave this discussion clean and in English.
The roms will be listed from oldest to latest.
If you found this usefull, please hit the "Thanks" Button!
About The Difference Between The Carries Roms
Different from other Samsung devices, all the Israeli carrier roms for the SGS3 are the same!
It doesn't matter which one you download, you get the same settings, apps, MODEM, kernel, recovery - everything is the SAME!
After you download the rom and flash it you can set the CSC of your phone to the carrier you are using (if you want to do that).
For more details how to do that continue reading the guide.
How To Flash Official Roms
Download your selected rom
Double click the .exe file to extract the .tar file
Flash the rom using Odin. If you don't know how - search for it!
You do not need root the flash these roms!!
How To Change The CSC To Your Carrier Settings (OPTIONAL)
If you want to revert back to your carrier settings (bootanimation, garbage apps, etc.), you will need to manually change your CSC.
NOTICE: This action will wipe ALL your data! Including pictures, music, backups, apps, setting.
Launch your stock dialer
Type in the code
Code:
*#06#
This is your IMEI number. Write it down.
Go back to your stock dialer and type in the code -
Code:
*#272*XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX#
Where XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is your IMEI number.
You will be prompt with a selection of CSC codes. These are your carrier code. Select the one you want:
ILO - Sanny (Clean rom, no junk)
PTR - Orange (Partner)
CEL - Cellcom
PCL - Pelephone
MIR - Hot Mobile (Mirs)
The device will reboot and WIPE ALL YOUR DATA!! (See notice above)
When your device boots you will see all your carrier junk.

Hope its gonna help you - if you have Israeli operator rom and wish to change it to other operator or for your case to SUNNY clean rom then make these steps and you will get your phone without the operator's garbage
1 - Open the dialing screen and type this to get the IMEI code:
*#06#
2 - Write down the IMEI code so you can copy it for later use.
3 - Back to the dialing screen and type the IMEI from step 2 in the following format:
*#272*XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX#
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX = replace this with your IMEI
4 - You'll get the following selection screen:
choose one of the operators :
ILO - SUNNY ORIGINAL CLEAN ISRAELI ROM
PTR - ORANGE
CEL - CELLCOM
PCL - PELEPHONE
MIR - HOT MOBILE
After you choose your operator the phone will restart - make sure your battery is full !
NOTE: - once you selecting the operator code all of your DATA will ERASED and LOST!!!!
yeah yeah i know - bad English ;p
Or you can go to Sammobile and download any rom you need. Then just flash it.

In galaxy 3 there is only one ROM for Israeli market. any Israeli operator's ROM you download from sammobile is the same file. The way you choose the right operator for you is the way i mentioned before, Even if you on Israeli ROM you can do those steps and get clean sunny ROM without flashing and etc... (sunny orange cellcom or whatever you choose)

I think the original rom (even in israel) is better then any other ****ty rom out there.. I'm new in android and replaced IOS after 4 years to android. tried so many roms for android and some modification and they all are ****ty and full of bugs (unlike the IOS) . what i am asking for is a good phone to meet my needs which is mosty entertainment needs. games news movies and so on. the original rom is the most stable rom yet !! so dont bother with other roms unless you are bored to death.
Have a great day
and dont get me wrong - i LOVE my SGS3
BTW orange just updated to the last ICS update for the galaxy s3 in last week - they also sent to their customers sms to make an OTA update.
thanks, your english is perfect...
the issue now is that my phone is a Dutch phone - and so is the rom - i bought it in Holland...
now, can i just burn the rom onto my phone and set it to Sunny and "finito" ?
will it work ?
will it update when there are updates ?
thanks once again
---------- Post added at 10:21 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:19 AM ----------
tried to search there for a rom - found nothing...
any direct link you can send ?
"ZeevG" yes you can, just flash using odin and thats it.
to check and be sure just check that your csc is "ilo" after the flash.
my sim card is from cellcom, which one has the best rom cellcom, pelephone or orange, and does it matter if my operator is cellcom and i flash orange rom
"hykhleif" all the operators in israel uses the same baseband, just install the "clean" sunny version (ilo).
it dont metters which rom you use for operator.
I bought mine in germany. And the reason that i flashed israeli rom is hebrew keyboard and calendar localization. And I don't feel any difference between roms. Except software. When I flashed the last UK rom from sammobile, then i got Wifi disconnections. So you never know which rom for you is better.

First post updated with link to the new release and detailed information and instructions!
Thanks firefds for posting the new ROM. I am new to Android a day have not yet rooted. I have few questions:
1. After flashing with Odin and not changing carrier, will my system settings and apps be as they were?
2. Any idea why sammobile would not showing for this firmware or Orange not sending good me SMS to do ODA update? I think I am asking how this firmware cycle works between Samsung, Sunny, and the mobile carriers?
3. A firmware came out about 3 weeks ago in UK that fixes a crackling sound on the phone when listening to audio via the earphone jacket and screen is off. Does anyone know if this new ROM fixes this problem?

[Q] What firmware should I flash?

Hello! I want to completely reset my phone and reinstall stock ROM to my phone (GT S5360), but I'm not sure about the files that I need for that (which PDA, Modem and CSC). I'm living by now in Honduras, should I use an European version? Which one?
Thank you!
