I pre ordered my nexus 7 from the google play store and received it 2 weeks after my friends purchased theirs at a local electronics retailer in Australia. I am glad there is no pre order from google play on the nexus 10

Personally, I'm going to wait a bit for any hardware revisions to come by and fix any possible bugs (Nexus 7 anyone?). So December-January for me.
Does anyone know how long it was after the nexus 7 release until it was available at bestbuy or walmart? I have friends of my family visiting their son in some town I dont remember the name of in SC and there are both walmart and bestbuy there and bestbuy has the possibility for international orders with local pickup and that is perfect as they don't have to pay anything. They are going back to sweden dec 13th. How is expansys? Are they reliable and handle returns well? I figure it would be easier for our friends getting it from bestbuy/walmart if the N10 would have any defects as they could just go back to the store and get it exchanged instead of having to deal with returns through mail to expansys.

I can't remember where, but somewhere yesterday I read it will be available in stores the same day as the play store.

I've tried Google Play on my Galaxy Note and on my laptop but all that there is for sale is Films, Books and Apps and no hardware.
I live in the UK and wondered if hardware was not available here on the Play store, does anyone know?

You can't access the devices section from the app on your phone.
Gotta get there on a computer, or you can access from the browser on your phone as long as you don't have links to play go to the app.

I think in the UK that the shops got the N7 about 2 weeks after google started selling them online, wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happened again.

Apparently bestbuy has really dropped the ball with this launch, something I feared would happen, but was really hoping wouldn't....
I'm super happy for the people that got their nexus S, but personally really am missing the google store I ordered my nexus one at 4pm 3 days after launch, and by 1pm the following day had it in my hot little hands, free engraving and all.....
A quick browse of the bestbuy forums will validate my claims. Some people ordered their phone friday and received it saturday, while others are simply left waiting, there really seems to be no method to this madness....
Worst part is, the phone is still listed as IN STOCK with GUARANTEED CHRISTMAS DELIVERY on their website.....

Google.com didn't work well with Nexus One and Amazon is not a good choice either since they are online only. Yes yes, I know people can buy prepaid debit or whatever, but perhaps in Google's mind. Better to go with a store that can sell both in store and online rather than just online only.

I think Someone made a strange deal, as we can buy Nexus S 400€ from BestBuy and from Carehouse (European citizens) must pay around 650€...
So i think somehow someone blogged access from european countries to stop us from ordering the Nexus S from America and to force us at least for some days to buy it from the European exclusive shop....

I'm getting access denied from Hong Kong right now.....
I really hate how they say the google store failed....it was absolutely perfect for me. Super fast shipping, free engraving, no bestbuy bull****, no fake promises, no bait and switch, just a stellar ordering experience all around in my experience. Why couldn't they keep the google store open for online sales and distribute it to bestbuy stores so the numbtys can 'play with it before they buy it', and that way the nexus' core audience (people with more than half a brain) can still order it with ease direct from google.
I'm starting to wonder if I should place some of the blame here directly on google for making this terrible terrible decision to give bestbuy exclusive sales rights.....

I ordered one of my Thursday night, and UPS tracking claims it will be here Monday. Now, there must be some special priority for those who order in-store, because the clerk used something called "express lane". I thought it was just the name of their POS system. Evidentley, its really an express option.
I definitely want to pre-order the N4 as soon as possible, but I don't know how Google are with shipping etc.
Did they ship before release date? How fast was shipping and how much did it cost?
I want to make sure I get it quickly, otherwise I'm stuck with a backup phone for a while...

They got shipped late, there was too few to satisfy demand and at one point they decided to send newly placed orders before earlier orders.
Delivery was a standard 2 working days think it was £9.99. They changed to overnight delivery due to the delays.

From what I understand, the actual release date is Nov 13. It doesn't look like google will be doing a preorder for this one. That said, the N7 preorder went well for me, I grabbed it early and got it on a friday, knew some others who didn't get theirs until after the weekend.
i did the pre order for the nexus 7 and it went pretty well over all. there was a bit of a delay due to high demand but i dont hold that against them. got mine when they said i would. in perfect condition and have no defects or problems.
Ordered my n7 on the first day of pre-orders, didnt recieve it for quite a while, people who ordered after me got it first. But it was worth the wait
Still not gunna stop me ordering this!

Well it was hard work but I finally managed to get my order though for the Nexus 10.
How was everyone else's experience? Did you have problems with the Google Play site like I did?
Still having problems, trying to order Nexus 4 16gb with bumper and nexus 10 32 gb in one basket but even they appears and disappears very quickly. Now none from nexus 4 devices is available, also there is no option to buy bumper for nexus 4 and only available option is to buy nexus 10 16gb... cant wait to buy them all

I'm sure you'll get there in the end, don't give up! I found i had more success having one of my Google accounts logged in Chrome and the other in IE and I was trying to get to the checkout using both accounts. Eventually I got through on one of them

Well UK orders are being shipped from Ireland therefore I would imagine US orders will be shipped from the US therefore they will all still be in stock for you guys. Everything was available to purchase from around 8:30am on the 13th so ppl from the US have a few hours to wait yet I guess...
I managed to get a 32gb version after some teething issues with the site. Looking forward to the weekend now if it arrives as promised.

Ordered the 32GB. There were no accessory options. Took me two goes after getting online at 8:30am before it went through. By the time I packed up and got to work (~20 mins later) it was all sold out.
Delivery was £9.99 and states "two day" delivery.
Hopefully this means we'll have them on Thursday.

The times posted were for European (and before that Austrailia), it probably hasn't made it to America yet, and by extension, Canada.
Does it say November 13th for you guys like the rest of us? You must be later today after they deal with all the orders from the rest of the world.

Current EST time is 9:50am correct? If so everything should be available to purchase now providing it hasn't sold out already. Everything in the UK was available from 8:30am onwards.

Picked mine up this afternoon, Willow Grove, PA Best Buy, they're sold out now. I had it preordered already online for delivery, got the email at like 4am this morning saying the release date of a product you ordered had changed. I thought "well, looks like they probably pushed it back to a later release in August or something..." Then I saw that it was released today, so I went online to see if they were available for in-store pickup. Sure enough they were. Now I have the one I bought and the one coming via UPS. Now I'm hoping I can just take the one I got delivered and return it to the store with the receipt from the in-store pickup one so I'm not stuck with two.
Does anyone know when or if this is going to get its own forum?
Update: You can return an online order to any Best Buy, per their return policy. "Avoid shipping charges and receive a refund more quickly by returning your items to any Best Buy store within the United States."

According to Des on Twitter, one of the reasons for the delay was to make sure all locations were able to get a demo phone. As the leaked list showed, only 2/3 of locations were even getting a demo, and only 1/3 were getting sellable stock.

Direct ship, yeah they can order it for CX and have it sent to store. If he's saying he can order you one, you might wanna do that fast before they block it for him

I just called 611 from T-Mobile and they are not letting you order the phone over the phone. So if a store will let you buy one then you are lucky and jump on it. But I highly doubt that anyone from t mobile is going to sell it earlier.

Just like any business, you have a plan. Moto promised them stock for the date they planned. Looks like Moto failed to deliver for whatever reason (could've been a manufacturing issue)
I just called one of the stores on that leaked list. They told me they did not have any for sale but I could come in and pre-order.

Amazon notified me yesterday that the Spigen cases I ordered were "shipped by Spigen" and would be arriving 11/25-28.
Well, this is what I get for not checking the N6 forums yesterday. Stopped by the store and they didn't even know about the delay until I asked about the phone. That's when the rep saw the internal memo saying the launch was pushed back. It's complete BS to push back a launch date the day before. They already knew there was limited supply.
