[Q] Price premium for 3/4G version? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm surprised no one has asked, maybe because no one has an answer but the "leaked" video that was dissected yesterday said there would be a wireless version of the Nexus 7 launched along with the 32gb version. Any thoughts on what sort of price premium may be attached? $100?
Am going to get the 32gb Nexus regardless and just tether it but want to see what all the options are.

Pls can you give link to the leaked video???
And do it shows 3g functionality???

In Latvia one online retailer have listed Asus Google Nexus 7 3G 32GB with price 219.00 Ls (410 USD / 255 GBP) and marked that it will be in stock on 12.11.2012. To compare the price for Nexus 7 16GB there is 169 Ls (315 USD / 200 GBP).

Not even worth it for 3G to be honest. Its pretty useless.

It's been done to death
Conclusion: No one knows until the device is announced and the price is revealed next week.

I predicted £249 as the sweet spot for the 3G version. A 3G/GSM module costs between $5 and $13

When you click on any of the models, it gives you a more detailed description. In the description for the a500-10s16w it says 32gb, but I'm fairly confident its just a typo because the model number is the same as the 16gb, aside from the last letter.
On a side note, does anybody know the difference between the two 16 gb models?
Well, some of the $449 models market 16gb came with 32gb. Maybe that's what is up.
typo or not
If you have bought yours already what difference does it matter tech stuff prices drop and hardware specs change
well i assume the U is stand for 3g & W stand for wifi which is make sense

The new google nexus tablet 7"

https://play.google.com/store/devices/details?id=nexus_7_16gb
available for pre order in uk! @ £199,,google playstore
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMQdfGFK5XQ
As the name suggests, the Google Nexus 7 features a 7" IPS display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels. The tablet is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Tegra 3 chip with 1GB of RAM and 12 core ultra-low voltage nVidia GeForce GPU.
And despite the capable hardware, Google managed to keep the price of the Nexus 7 impressively low. The slate will come in 8GB and 16GB flavors, which will retail for $199 and $249 respectively.
The Google Nexus 7 comes with Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth and NFC connectivity and Google Wallet preinstalled. Sadly, there isn’t a 3G model available, but obviously keeping the price as low as possible was key here. That's also the reason there isn't a camera at the back, and only a 1.2MP front-facing snapper. However, it's capable of shooting 720p video, so it's not all bad.
Measuring 198.5 x 120 x 10.5 mm the 7-incher weighs in at 340 grams which is respectful for its size. The Amazon Kindle Fire and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 will be having a hard time indeed.
The Google Nexus 7 is already available for pre-order in UK, US, Canada and Australia and should ship in mid July. You can follow this link to book your Nexus 7 unit.

I think I heard that there's not. It's a bummer for me; with so many new phones dropping microSD support, I was hoping to use my 32 GB microSD on the tablet.

I feel you...i have been literally checking daily on rumors the past few months on this tablet. Im very turned off by the lack of SD.
I imagined Google would do this in the spirit of the GNex and NS...im wondering if the Asus version due in Aug. will have expandable memory

i ordered one... for the price, IDGAF about storade space, i got the 16gb and it came to about 285 shipped. Thats an awesome price for hd screen, quad core processor, 12-core gpu, gps, etc. Im still amazed how they are profitable at that price. 16gb is more than enough for TRAVEL/ON THE GO. At home, you have FULL use of the cloud. On the go , I doubt you go through more than 16gb of media unless its a long trip and on long trips, u have wifi usually. I actually would have gotten the 8gb but figured 16gb is more desirable/will hold value longer. Be excited folks, i didnt think they would be able to do it. The sd slot was the BEST possible compromise, or would u have rathered to have sd but have a DUAL core, or 512mb of ram, or a 1000x600 screen or no gps etc.
So that means 200$ price not include tax, shipping fee ?

The reason shipping isn't free is because Google is already taking a loss for these. I'm sure Bestbuy will have them, but will sell them for $230/$280 and you will have to force them to price match.

[Q] nexus 7 $199 outside US region?

Anyone know that when Google sale Nexus 7 outside US region, the price still on $199 8G and $249 16G?
any timetable, when will be release sale outside US region ?
In Canada the Nexus 7 is selling for $209 for 8GB and $259 for 16GB.
I think think so, depending on location and currency from each country. There's also shipping charges and tax if your country charge tax.
Questions go in the Q&A section
in Australia its $249 for 8gb and $299 for 16gb. kinda stupid since our currency is on par with the US currency, but aside from that i cant complain.
Its not for sale in china. So sad,but there is a market called taobao, about ¥1700 today.

Let's keep this thread going with reports as the other former British colonies get their roll out and then the Euro folks as well. It would be good to also post any announcements for future sales as the global rollout happens. I dunno if I should wait for any Taiwan sales to start (Asus will sell them in their home I hope?!??!?) or pick one up when I go home to Canada in late August. The loose/misaligned/delamination of the LCD issue seems serious enough I don't want to bring it back to Taiwan and not have warrantee redress.

Australian goods and services tax is 10%. Assuming US$199/249 is tax free then Aus taxed equivalent is AU$219/275. Currently AU$1=US$1.02. Mmm....there seems to be a Google tax in there as well!

I had to go to an Asus depot here in Taiwan to get my notebook fixed. I asked if the N7 would ever come here. The woman said yes, maybe August or September. With the language barrier factored in, that makes me pretty confident we will see them here in Asia...maybe relatively soon...
If anyone is interacting with Asus staff, not just retailers, you should ask aggressively, not take no or "maybe" for an answer, and post here.

Looks like they are trying to get rid of their stock of 16GB models in anticipation of the 32GB
Bought mine from comet couple of days ago for £189 and they have just price matched the PC world price for me, wouldn't budge on the fact I have only had it for 2 days and a new updated memory version is soon to be released though, they have no details on their system of the 32gb one. Happy with the price match and love the nexus.

Honor 8 announced in Europe for €399/£369.99

I was surprised nobody has posted this yet... The new honor 8 was announced in Europe at a launch event in Paris today, for €399 (£369.99 in Britain - yes that's a rip off, approximately $490)
The first thing that shocked me was that its price exceeds that of the OnePlus 3 (£329) even though the OP3 boasts a better chipset, better UI and considerably more RAM, secondly Honor seems to fancy ripping us Brits off while in the US both devices are on sale for $399.
I have made my choice and already ordered my OP3
One of the biggest phone supplier here in Lithuania promised to sell starting from 270 euros. We'll see...
Shocked at the UK price, was hoping that the 64gb would be around that and the 32gb around £310, then we didn't even get the 64gb!

It's shocking, especially as the US gets it for £300... Estimates I saw suggested it would start at £225 long prior to its release, so much for that...
Anyway I've made me decision and ordered the OnePlus 3, their shipping times are atrocious but their phones are great so they're forgiven

£15.43 shipping also worth noting:
EU Expedited Shipping (8 - 12 days Europe)
We can ship phones by Europe Expedited shipping: this special expedited shipping with tracking number, the shipping option is depending on your location, we recommend this shipping option for Europe buyers, it's a smooth shipping process, there is no customs tax and VAT fees.
* For Europe buyers, this is best shipping option to avoid customs importing tax and save VAT on the goods.

I saw blue 64gb in some russian eshop but I don`t know if it was official distributon. Here in czech rep. will be 64gb only gold for approx. 430€.
Vmall EU's customer service is almost as shocking as the price for the UK. I get that Honor is a rising brand but the justification to put up the price by £120 from the Honor 7 doesn't make sense.
I got fed up being messed around by VMall and cancelled my order and bought an OP3 just like the original poster.
I'm just wondering is there a way to get the phone from the likes of Oppomart and then flash a EU ROM? As the phone can be had for way less.
Got it for ~385€ in Czech Republic.
