My Note is here. Yeehawww - Galaxy Note II General

The big monster is here. Everybody is like "What the F is that?!", "Why are you making calls with your Kindle?!", "I don't think you have enough face for that phone"... Even my girlfriend says, "This phone is not for the mentally challenged like me, I'll stick with my iPhone..."
Anyways, every day (for a pair of days now) is showing me something new. I'm having a blast with my new toy and don't mind to brag when I'm given the chance.
I've had android tablets before, but this is my first Android Phone. I chose something very big to take my virginity, what a smart guy I am... I have two issues tho:
1. I can hardly hear my notifications. Volume is all the way up and still I can hardly hear when a text message/chaton/gtalk/email comes in.
2. I cannot choose custom ringtones for notifications. I'm stuck with those Sammy provides
3. I cannot assign a custom ringtone for text messages for each contact. Text messages are a very common thing here so I'd like to know who's texting me by the sound
4.S Suggest and Sammy Apps are not working for me. It says that my country is not supported. Funny, as I'm able to use it on my Samsung Note 10.1 without any issue.
5 Battery is not that great. I guess big screen has a cost. However, I notice that the standby de-charge rate is really sucky. I clear all running apps in the night, turn off wifi, and have the phone run on mobile data only and by morning it will go from 100% to 90%.
6. Pen is a bit too sensitive. It has one of those ghost touches many have been complaining about. I messed around with the potentiometer and that seemed to have helped a bit, but there are still there every now and again.
7. I wish there was a gesture or pen command to go to home screen. My home button is kinda slow sometimes.
But other than that, it's all good...
Ron

I think the whole tablet against the face thingy is getting old seriously. It's not even that big.
OP, are you a 120lb Emo kid in skinny jeans?

Who cares, honestly. lol
I have been telling my family and closest friends that I am getting this phone, and telling them how big it is. I put my 10.1 tablet up to my face as a joke all the time since they rag on me about the Note 2 size.

you can set custom ringtones. you can pretty much do anything that you want. you need to turn off the screen transition animation. it will makes the home button much faster. you are free to do what you want and how you want! just look around and search. you'll find answers for everything. good to see you joined the "dark" side and not the "sheep" side

You can also use ringdroid off the play store. After you create the ringtone it gives you the option to save as notification, call tone,.alarm ect

Bye Bye Touch Screen!

Since I am not yet eligible to add links to my posts, I can only tell you to go to youtube and search for "InvenSense MotionProcessing". I guarantee it'll be worth it and maybe someone could post the link. Awesome one handed motion command tech. Check it out!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0Ta-wAdvh8
this is the link, but i dont think it is really useable...
That looks like a lot of work. Goddamn...
So rather than pressing the call button and then speakerphone button, I have to do a 7-step of shaking, turning, girating, tilt shaking, etc...to activate the speakerphone after my call is connected?
What about to those people with old age, osteoporosis, or Alzheimer? THEY WOULDNT EVEN BE ABLE TO USE THE PHONE AT ALL!!
uh no, if u listen to the demo, u can setup 1 motion to do whatever u want in the same way u would set up a speed dial contact or a hot key, whatever. I know i would like it.

Yea, for you. If it's for mass-market, it would not. Imagine if you give it to your old grandma who has the memory of a pebble and expect her to memorize the different "hotkey" that she has set up and expect her to do it right...
how many "grandmas" do you know of that use smartphones? I bet you only need 1 hand.

How many people in their 50s and 60s using an iphone? Don't be retarded. This is not about smartphone and more about the technology in your original post. Sooner or later, every quasi-smartphones out there will have a accelerometer and can do what that technology describes.
I don't get your point. I think most people could figure it out quite easily and would be in the majority for the simple reason that they like new tech, and for those who can't, probably wouldn't even be interested in even a ground level smartphone. And you're right, sooner or later, every quasi-smartphones out there will have a accelerometer and probably most of the owners won't even use the tech. I know a lot of people in their 50/60's that have iphones because they're the "thing to have" and most of them have no idea what the phone is capable of. I agree, it's not for everybody. But I disagree and I still think that most people would love it including me but I just got my Hd2 about a month ago so I can wait.
I was a Nintendo fan until I wasted money on the Wii... Motion controls don't do it for me personally and just imagine tilting the phone so you can see the screen clearly without a reflection from bright sunlight and the phone going crazy...

My mother has it. She's not so good with technology but at least with this she could hold the phone 'still' and wait for the feature she wants to pop up.
Its neat to show, but not really applicable.
Just about everything shown there can be done already much faster and easier and with more stable results. Why scroll around the screen by holding a button and tilting the phone when I could just tap the one I want...?
I have enough problems waking my phone up in my pocket with out my jogging motion dialing out hanging up and dialing out again ever time I take a step.
It is neat tech, but I dont see it taking off in that form at all. Aspects of it I am sure will find their way into phones, but most of that is just for show IMO.
I think people are forgetting that apps are customizable. Just because it can do all those thing doesn't mean it just has an on/off switch and it's all or nothing. Don't you think it would have settings for enabling/disabling the different functions? I mean as far as jogging goes, wouldn't you just shut the function off much in the same way you would put your phone in airplane mode when you get on a plane?
I like doing one-handed operations and got into the habit when I had an iphone. And yes, you can do it already but I find because of the Hd2's larger screen, it's not as comfortable in my hand and sometimes feels like it might slip so to be able to answer the phone by a simple motion of my wrist like Captain Kirk answering his communication device would be pretty cool. And to go from one quicklink page to another by a simple tilt would be cool also. I would probably still choose an app with my thumb but that's my point. To have the different options would be nice. I would probably use the zoom function also. The reason I sold my iphone is because I got tired of chasing the next jailbreak in order to get the phone the way I wanted it instead of the way Apple would allow me. And the Hd2's hardware was too good to pass up and I have no regrets and the more options I have, the more I like it. I'm not gonna sell my Hd2 if that tech came out on a phone tomorrow but to me, if your spending a considerable amount of money on a phone, it should pretty much do anything I want it to short of cooking my dinner!
So you tilt the phone to get up the photo you want to show a friend, hand it over and they tilt the phone and suddenly they've scrolled through your album and are seeing those pics you took of your gf last night instead
Ha! Let's hope they already thought of that in the research and development department!

My first week with the Evo 4g coming from an iPhone 3G

For the first five days I had a huge issue with the battery draining while in standby, and because of that I expected to return the phone. Now that I have logged out of google talk and changed to CDMA auto it's doing much better... I seem to get at least 6 hours of continuous use with little power draining when the screen is off, which I can definitely live with.
Here are the things I love about the evo:
* Being able to plug it in to my computer and mount it as a drive. So simple, and so frustrating that apple won't allow it.
* Google navigation. It's awesome, and much safer since it has text to speech.
* The screen size is amazing... I love that it lets me view docs in meetings so I hardly have to print anything
* Wifi tethering
Here are my main issues, the big ones that might make me have to return it:
* Horrible wifi reception. I have yet to pick up a signal at work, and I have no problem with my iPhone & laptop.
* It sucks as a media player. I have a huge library full of lossless files, and I don't have the energy to convert everything (yes I've tried doubletwist and andless but I can't get it to recognize the artist/album/songnames properly). I listen to a lot of music so this is a major PITA for me.
* Build quality kind of scares me, light leakage etc.; it makes me feel like I need to get the insurance. This plan is costing me way more than an iPhone 4 would (since I still have two other lines on AT&T with one year left on the contract and I get a lower corporate discount) and I hate the thought of paying any more.
The evo is not without it's imperfections, but I love it so far and shudder at the thought of having to go back to an iPhone. In fact I picked up my 3G today and it felt like a sad pathetic joke, like going back to one of those 12 lb. i486 laptops from the 90's. And nobody wants that.

Welcome!
Thanks for your iPhone/Evo thoughts.
I have some friends at work that are curious about Evo and how it compares to an iPhone.
I've been with Sprint for 10 years, so I've never had an iPhone.
These XDA forums are full of really good folks that want to help out.
Enjoy you Evo!
I also came from a 3G and have similar opinions:
Screen - Damn this screen is beautiful. It definitely is hard to go back to the iPhone just because of this. In addition, I can see much more on the screen without having to zoom (unsure if this is because of the larger screen or increased resolution, or both). On the other hand, it does seems more reflective than the iPhone. I have a hard time seeing the screen in the sun because of all the glare. It's very nice indoors though.
Syncing - much better than the iPhone. iTunes is okay when it works but it just has too many problems. Plus, being able to manually put things on the android without having to root is awesome.
Navigation - Wow. Google navigation blew me away when I first used it. Streetview is a nice touch. Nothing compared to that on the iPhone unless you pay a decent amount.
Customization - being able to root and apply all sorts of different ROMS is pretty badass. Currently, I'm using a Froyo ROM and I have to say... much better than HTC Sense. I guess I like stock android better (I hate HTCs keyboard - too crowded).
Notifications - hot damn I love notifications on android. This is what may keep me on android. It works so well with gmail.
Widgets are awesome
My issues that may swing me back to the iPhone (and please, if I can fix any of these issues, let me know):
I hate having to press the power button to wake from sleep. Maybe I'm just used to pressing the bottom button on the iPhone, but it was just so much easier for me. Of course, not a deal breaker, but very annoying.
It could be just me, but the screen seems hypersensitive. When I'm scrolling up and down, I'm constantly opening apps/menus that I don't want to. It seems to be getting better, so maybe I just need to get used to it.
I'm in Hawaii and the 4G is supposed to be pretty good -- looking at the coverage maps on sprint shows mostly blue where I live. However, I seem to get spotty coverage and the speeds compared to 3G aren't what they advertise. I was so looking forward to 4G. To add insult to injury, leaving 4G on drains the battery like no other.
I'll probably get flamed for this, but I think most people agree the iPhone's OS is much more polished. It doesn't help that both HTC and Sprint add applications and background processes. Scrolling on the android is a tad slower and a little more jerky. One thing that bugs the hell out of me is, on HTC sense, if you press the applications icon, open an application, but decide to go back to the applications screen, it doesn't do that! It goes back to the home screen. That frustrates me so much. Froyo doesn't do that so right now I'm pretty happy.
I can't think of anything else, but I'm pretty torn right now about keeping the EVO or getting an iPhone 4. Any advice?

I have currently an iphone 3Gs and just got the Evo opening day. I am just now able to really install and get a feel for the EVO since we just got back from vacation. I am becoming more and more pleased with the EVO each time I use it. THere are many things that the EVO can do that iphone cant do even being Jailbroken, which my Iphone is. As i use it i will report more. Right now im having loads of fun with my EVO. Yes, I will get the iphone 4 when it comes out. I guess you can tell im a gadget kind of person. There are just a few things with the EVO that has to be fixed, and I feel like it will be much better with the Froyo.
One thing I really like about the EVO is its browsing. How it resizes the screen and paragraphs so you dont have to scroll right to left. Iphone doesnt have that. Yet. Maybe the new update. Will wait and see. But for now, Evo is in my pocket and iphone is on the bedroom nitestand.

To shut off the locksreen go to the matket and get no lock.
After it is installed just launch it and click on the lock.
After that you will just heve to hit the volume button to bring upi the home screen.
I had pretty bad light leakage on the bottom after the first couple days, now that part of the screen has lifted by about 0.5mm and it moves when I squeeze down. This thing has to go back . Just for the hell of it I tried browsing the web on my 3G... I can't imagine going back to such a tiny screen, but it looks like I have to. ugh.

You sir... have had an AWAKENING!
I came from the iPhone and I can personally tell you this thing DESTROYS the iPhone..
1. CALENDAR SYNC via Exchange - Calendar use is WAY better on Android - one touch navigation of the "Where" clickable numbers(granted the iphone had this) and a beautiful widget to go on the front screen... another widget to show me my upcoming appointment and another to make a "Calendar folder" which makes it a bit easier
2. Notifications, Multi-tasking... Ahh the beauty of using Pandora while writing an e-mail or text message instead of going out of the song each time... being on Skype and Facebook Chat at all times and being that much easier to get ahold of (without the phone call to use my minutes)... LOVE IT
3. Screen Size, Screen Brightness - the screen destroys the iPhone and I have no problem with the touch at all..
4. Apps - I love the openness of the apps.. any major app I used (Pandora, Slacker, etc) are on both Android and iPhone (granted they are usually a bit more developed on the iPhone but I get things like MP3 Explorer that let me download songs when I want them.. something I would need to jailbreak my iPhone for...
5. Customized Home Screen - No need to talk about that... way better then iPhone... I don't feel like I'm the same as every other iPhone user
Okay Okay I coudl go on literally forever ... My iPhone feels like a dinosaur.. Facetime will probably be better video chat then QIK - because QIK SUCKS!!! But its only over WiFi and iPhone 4 to iPhone 4... so I'm not that envious..
One bad thing - battery... granted you get way more power and you can expect that the battery won't be as good... and I'm near a charger most of the time anyways... but I wish they woulda put a super super strong battery in this thing .. I'd be willing to deal with a thicker phone for a battery that's twice as capable!
I just don't get why android can't play all video types.. I'm very surprised that someone hasn't figured out a way to make this work.

yeah.. but my guess.. soon there will be an app on the market that will be better and use more formats.
Like most things on android.. if you dont like it.. you can find an app for that!

Good comparison. One app you might wanna try for you music needs is btunes. It is basically like the iphone music player. It does cost money but so far its the best one I have used. I have the Hero so I do not know if it works on the EVO yet but you might wanna give it a try. Also when you buy a app if you havent figured it out yet you have 24hrs trial if you dont like it uninstall and you will be refunded. Hope that helps

The last two pages of Samsung Vibrant A Galaxy S Phone Coming July 15th
It's on both I think
Yea I see it and I believe they are the same person or this person stole the pic
It's all a tease until I get one of my own. I just talked to a clerk at a TMo store and she said they have the phones in store, but can't sell them till the 15th.
TEASE!!
samsung held training events for tmobile reps and gave them one to use on the sales floor.
Congrats!
Do you find the no notification LED an issue?
Thanks!
Yes, having no notification led or light SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hopefully someone can get the bottom buttons to light up as a notification
Ok guys yeah that was me posting on tmonews. I just put up my impressions of the phone so far and since I cant link I'll cut and paste here. No I'm not a Tmo store employee, I bought the phone from chinatown where they dont care about rules, just shady and greedy..Plus Im super impatient so I'm always down to get the phone early even if I go through those sorts of channels. Anyways, here is my impression so far:
Ok guys heres my 2 cents after having used the phone for 2 days now. As you know, I posted here and on XDA 2 days ago with a pic bragging that I got it early...I absolutely love it. The display is gorgeous, the phone is super fast with no lag experienced so far, the touchwiz UI is neat and other than the iphone style app drawer and notification bar you hardly notice it, and 16 geebees of internal memory means you can just download and add apps to your hearts desire without worrying about placing it on a sim card.
Im a first time Droid user, long time Blackberry guy, and for the past 2 months I've been debating between the Droid X and the Vibrant (in fact I'm first on the list at the local Best Buy for a DX but I obviously am not getting it anymore). I've done more research on these 2 phones than anyone can imagine. Im not really a super phone tech guy so I cant speak much to that, I'm more of a cool-gadgety feature, display, looks and feel kinda guy. I dont post anywhere really but I have followed this phone pretty much all over the web. So, I basically was deciding up to the last minute between the two but im impatient as hell so when i had the chance to get the Vibrant early I did. I do not regret my decision especially after now hearing that the DX cant be rooted.
My reasons for loving this phone: 1) Super Amoled...yeah baby, eye popping colors and unreal contrast ratio for super dark blacks...lives up to the name "vibrant" in that regard; 2) Ive been on a Tmo family plan and their service in LA is good and it would have cost me significantly more per month on Verizon; and 3) after having had the HD2 for 2 weeks and returning it (4.3), and having played extensively with my buddies Iphone4 (3.7), I have come to the conclusion that the Galaxy is the PERFECT size at 4.0. Large screen, yet pocket and hand friendly. (the thing that turned me off most about the DX was how it looked pressed up next to one's ear while talking....like a friggin Powermat lol!..
I havent played much with the camera or HD video recording nor have i tried the video out so dont ask, just lack of time.
I have some gripes so far: 1) I dont see an easy way to place the phone on vibrate mode. If i hit "silent" in the notification bar, it silences the phone, simple enough, hit it again, back to sound on...okay, but i want it to shake when its silent and to do this it seems you have to enter the Settings / Sounds and Display / check on vibrate....not user friendly, maybe there is an easier way i just dont know about or an app that will take care of it. Either way I think this is a touchwiz prob and not a 2.1 - Eclair prob. 2) When I am on a call that requires me to use the dial pad to enter digits, its annoying b/c the phone screen will go dark after only moments when you are on a call. To get the phone screen to show again (and hence the dial pad), you have press the lock/screen lock button on the right side and it isnt very responsive. After pressing a number to get to the next part of the menu, it goes dark again before I want it to, and the ordeal starts over....very annoying. This was when i used it in a phone/holder in my car. It seems that when you are carrying it around, seemingly tilting the axis makes the screen show again...Weird...sorry for my long winded explanation. Im typing this is a hurry, and i dont really care.
Avatar is cool but the characters look a lot more CG than they do in the theatre/blu ray where they look human. Transformers 1 and 2 i copied from the HD2 when i had it played beautifully. Compared to the movie playback with the HD2, the Galaxy was so much smoother. You could control the position of the movie along that little bar with much more precision and the load time was also noticeably faster.
Still getting used to having to "kill" off apps which is weird but the Task Killer "X" widget is a godsend. (im ocd so i gotta kill it all off if im not using it...hey its battery life right?)
Oh yeah, can anybody tell me why when Im seemingly doing nothing or just using 1 or 2 apps, the task killer when i go to kill apps shows that other apps i didnt even touch are running? Like slacker radio, etc...just random **** appears to be running sometimes. Like i wont be doing anything then Ill press the kill shortcut/widget thing and itll say 4 apps killed. Huh? i wasnt just using 4 apps....is this normal? Like background updates or something?
I've got mine already too, it is FAST, the GPS has no issues, locks faster then my G1, the bottom buttons seem to be the only touchy issue but I think Samsung did it on purpose so you don't keep accidently hitting the buttons and activating them.

[Q] The itch to switch

Okay, so I have had the arc for a week now and am absolutely loving it, but I feel the itch once again to switch to something new...
I am considering the Samsung Infuse 4G. Question, in-case anyone is in the same boat as me and/or has experienced the infuse 4G or SGSII.
How does our reality display compare to the super amoled plus display?
Reasons I am considering a switch:
No custom rom support to satisfy my flashing addiction.... as of yet!
No search button, I wish the menu long press would act as search and not keyboard popup. (Work around I figured out is to map the focus button to the search function) but then I loose the focus button which also bothers me
No offence but thats pretty ridiculous....only after a week!?? Especially for the reasons you listed. hell I at least wait a couple months...

Reality display has genuine real world colors. AMOLED is either love or hate and it all depends on personal preferences. I have over saturated unnatural colors. One of the main reason I sold my SGII afer couple of days of use. Also, the beauty of Arc and SE interface is very much in line with my personal taste. Also, I didn't like how GSII felt in my hand and it looks ugly to me. I read in one of the reviews that Infuse has great build. Looking forward to checking it out on 15th even though I am sure I won't buy it.

Long press brings up like you said the keyboard which actually works pretty good when you are in contacts and some other screens where the cursor is already in text field.
if you long press to bring up the keyboard if you start typing wont it instantly start searching?

On the homepage, long press of the menu hard key button will bring the search function.
My god, the phone's been out a month and youre complaining about lack of custom roms? This stuff takes time you know, it wont be any different on the infuse if you buy that. Have patience.
And, as others have said, go to home screen, long press on the menu brings up the keyboard, start typing and it goes straight to search!

I think rumy got it by now. But thanks for the hint, I didn't know that either. What happens if I uninstall Google Search? Has anyone tried this?
@rumy:
It all depends on your financial situation, I would say! If you're addicted to switching your phone every week and you can afford it, that's fine with me. It's completely irrational, but if you have fun with it... ^^
Hahaha thanks all, btw I was not complaining about no custom roms, I was just sharing my impatientness towards the wait
Anyways, applications like winamp needs the dedicated search, if not it can get bothersome to actually search for a song. Does any one know how easy it would be to modify the long-press function of a key?
Also, @kitsVA I really do like how the arc fits in my hand, and the look on others faces when they feel how light and sexy this phone is
Listen OP im not flaming you as I too have gone through this, but you know how I overcame it? You just have to put everything into perspective, you can browse the web, watch vids on a magnificent 4.2" screen, you can listen to your music, take amazing photos with one of the best camera sensors on a phone, play games, apps etc, what CANT you do on this phone? It is a nice lightweight, unique looking phone, It runs well, it does everything its supposed to do and more! At the end of the day you have to realize that no phone and I mean NO phone on the planet is going to be perfect, every single phone you will ever buy will have imperfections, but guess what? Thats life, nothing in this world is perfect. So these little flaws that you keep finding in phones (like I did) guess what? Yea you can sell it, but the next phone you buy might fix those little problems but will bring 2 or three more, its a never ending cycle.
Another thing is that no matter what you are never gonna be "up to date" for more then a year, unless you plan on changing phones every 6 months then whats the point? Do you REALLY need that Dual Core? Do you REALLY need that slightly RAM? Slightly better Screen? Why not just wait until something that is REALLY a step up from what you have comes out and then you get it, not only will it be cheaper for you in the long run but it will be much more satisfying. Try to focus on other more important things in your life rather then just your phone, yeah its nice to have an expensive fully featured phone, go for it! Thats why I spend $600 on the arc!! But make sure you keep it for a while and get your moneys worth or else whats the point!? No ones gonna care what kind of phone you have or much less what specs are inside it! Most casual people have either a blackberry (which doesn't even come close spec/feature wise) or and iPhone, or a regular dumb phone or some carrier android phone, so chances are if you have some super high end phone like these they will be impressed regardless, either that or they plain wont care!
Everyone has different needs and wants but at the end of the day really sit down and think about what you NEED and what you WANT, cause most have a hard time separating the two. Right now my Arc will do everything I want and need plus more! I have no reason to upgrade for a while....
Just my opinion from someone who was in a similar situation as you, hope it helps.

Nexus 6 and 5.0 pitfalls / gripes !

So i have had the nexus 6 for 3 days and flashed a rom after 2days, and here my gripes !
1. The camera app from stock, IS worse than the N5 ever was ! It focuses re focuses, randomly under exposes / over exposes - frankly its a roulette
2. There is still no EQ ! Out the box
3. Both speakers are NOT used for speaker phone !
4. Volume gradient is terrible, first 2/3rds is acceptable thennits just plain ear drum bursting.
5. The handset has the properties of soap, unless you have a case or textured skin / case.
6. The stock keyboard is horrific, key boundarys seem to overlap and you really have to be accurate to type anything longer than 1 or two lines !
7. The screen really does go all kinds of pink / yellow / off shaded dependant on what brightness your set to.
8. The QI coil really could do qith being closer to the rear case centred, rather than off centre ( this would make more chargers work and work better with cases ! )
It really does feel like an android silver device that was botched into a nexus and they spent more time on the OS than making the package work as a whole, the nexus 5 / 4 have better out the bix function than the N6, it feels rushed and unfinshed software wise.
However its not too big, its well built and solid, the finishing touches are just not there
I'll take it if you don't want it, I could use a spare.
The only gripe I have is the camera UI - otherwise this device and software bests the M8 (previous device) in every category except for the boomsound speakers. I honestly do not think that I will ever go back to a skinned android experience - Vanilla android on this device is buttery smooth, and I really enjoy all the features 5.0 has incorporated that previously only skinned versions of android had

I am the opposite. I will never go to pure android again. I missed out on so many features like the m8 has. So long beta testing.
I agree , I feel like google rush android 5.0 out the door.
I totally disagree with all of this. Mine is basically flawless. The camera is the best I've ever had. The keyboard works way better than past devices, probably because of the size so I rarely hit 2 letters at the same time anymore. The VTT is better. THE OS is the bomb. All the apps I use, I have in here, all the ones I never would use, I didn't have to remove, but hey, if you need Amazon, 3 different lame game demos and some cruddy navigation app, go get a Note 4. I hear it may get Android L..... someday
This is just silly. Can people stop creating troll threads designed to get people arguing? Most of your points aren't even true of the device. Camera is great (ui could be better) eq can be done in app but these would great stock (I spend a lot of time doing pro audio work), volume transitions fine, you can install a different keyboard, screen only goes pink at lowest brightness. How it feels is relevant, but the rest are just making stuff up.

Dang it I can finally get all the negatives off my chest;
1. The Nexus 6 will not allow me to fly, I really though it would, but nothing.
2. I hate the way it does not call who I want when I think really really hard about that person, I mean it was so freaking expensive and all.
3. When I read the initial reviews, I know I read somewhere it said it would make me independently wealthy, crap, I'm still kind of just middle class, POS.
4. Wasn't it a 3D 4K screen? WTF???
5. When I hold it I don't transcend this reality and walk with the angels, that was the last straw really, I think I'm going back to my ..... (your better phone here)
Its a freaking cell phone and I'm not sure anyone but your family gives a crap if you like it or not and I doubt even they care. My god, if you don't like it, go get something else and go complain there.

1. try using it the right way, instead of letting it behave how it want to behave. you have to touch to focus. this will bring into focus what you want focused on, and itll adjust the light properly.
2. sure there is. its in the settings of google play music.
3. no, you are right. you did notice, congrats!
4. viper4android. root your phone, install viper4android. sound will never be better.
5. well, not really. im not big, 5'7", and my hands arent big, yet they manage to grip the n6 rather well, in the southern brooklyn winter/late fall.
6. i kind of like it?
7. i keep my brightness around 10-15%. that wsy i can see, and its good on battery. oh, and the screen auto adjusts, all by itself, even when all adjustments are disabled.
8. huh?
Powdered toast man!!!!!
My gripe is how 5.0 Lollipop handles the "Priority" of alarms and alerts.
Why I am not able to just silence my phone is beyond me?! The current implementation is a solution looking for a problem. I miss the one button click to silence the phone.
I had made the mistake of assuming that my wake-up alarm would still sound when my phone was set to "None". And why I can't have my phone silent, and still have an alarm?!
-J
Icons and fonts too small imo
Also not thrilled with the warm stock colors.. I like? The coool blue iphone5 colors

completely disagree. with a ~5 month public beta, i think they made some great strides to making this the best OS yet. every year people say the same thing "ICS was rushed", "KK was rushed"... just because it's nearly 100% different from ICS/KK doesn't mean it was rushed.

-That feature is still in beta testing. Do a hard reset and grip it harder. You can always try ADB. I heard some people are getting to jog with Cherubs, which hey, it's good enough for my needs. and go ahead, I'm sure your iPhone 3g was miles ahead of this phone.

You need to use this phone the right way, or at least look up some reviews. Many android websites teach you how to do this through videos.

you have a problem dude! Every time someone complain about the speakers, you say the same thing! If you don't have a solution or something to add a value to OP, please keep whatever you are going to say to yourself and stop being funny! You don't know about his situations. Maybe he has a weak hearings or something.

The item mentioned is not a "problem", it is a feature. Speakerphone was designed to use only one speaker. You can say it is a problem all you want, but it simply is not. So instead of calling me out and saying I have issues, take your own advice and keep it to yourself. Have a wonderful day.
