Flash Installer - One click Adobe Flash for Jellybean - Android Software Development

Adobe Flash has been removed from the Google Play store. Jellybean devices do not have Flash any longer, making the browsing experience no better than that of an iPhone.
Adobe Flash can be installed by just installing the newest version of the apk, which takes unnessecary searching on the web.
Hence, I created the app "Flash Installer", simply click install, and forget about it. It will prompt you to install flash and then disappear and never bother you again.
Download the app here and give your Jellybean device a dose of Adobe Flash. Boost your browsing experience!
Download (click image): (or click https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=genius.mohammad.flashinstaller)

Clicking anywhere on the picture, I was unable to download this file. It just zooms in the image itself.

Just updated to the latest version. Should hit Google Play within an hour or so.
Guaranteed to work. Also comes with Holoweb browser since it supports Flash well.

Link does not work, please post an updated one or the .apk
Thanks!

You can always manually find the latest version of Adobe flash for Android here:
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
Scroll down the page to "Flash Player for Android 4.0 archives"
As of this post, this is the latest version of Adobe Flash for Android 4.0*
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/...roid/11.1.115.27/install_flash_player_ics.apk
*There is no official support or version for Android 4.1 and up, but the ICS version works without issue (well, some browsers have issues with it or dont support it, but none of my built-in CM10 device browsers have issue and work flawlessly)
All of the above being said, as its unsupported, its all YMMV (or, your own mileage may vary)

i'm flashed again.
the alfa romeo site is a good flash based site to check the app.
thx 4 d app

[Q] CM 6.1 RC2 Market Issues

I upgraded CM 6 to CM6.1 RC2 and everything went smooth, except when you turn the nexus one on there is no market or gmail from google as if they some how are no longer part of the phone.
When I upgraded I did it from the phone itself so when i was ask if i wanted google add on I click yes and once it went to the booting process and the new CM6.1 RC2 was running I could not find the market or my contacts I could not sync my phone to the google server...why?
Hum.....read the thread and find the link to Google apps. You will then need to flash Google apps on top of your CM6 ROM.
I know sometimes the Google apks fail to download in ROM manager.
So should i download the CM 6.1 RC2 from the phone since i have the ROM manager and not get the google add on and download it from a PC, save it to da sd card n then do it manually?...please explain...thank you!
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Download them both from the pc to sdcard .. then flash in recovery .. cm first then add ons
I just went to cyanogenmod website n i guess i was not da only one with this problem!...apperently you can no longer download CM 6.1 RC2 because not having android market or gmail...please if someone can help develop this ROM correctly...thank you!
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Uh, I have no idea what you're talking about. CM6.1 RC2 is still available for download. If you still have it loaded, grab the GAPPS package from the wiki (link below) and flash it over your current ROM (no need to wipe first) to get the Market, Gmail, etc... back.
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?title=Passion:Installing_CyanogenMod
I notice if you go to cyanogenmod website and click on downloads and then experimental and you see CM6.1 RC2 and if you click on it it says you can not download it anymore because it was reported as broken because not having Market or gmail.
On the same website if you go to forums and then see nexus one it will give you a link to download it from the links they have on that forum....so my question is which one is really true?
any ideas?
Considering I'm running CM6.1 RC2 with everything working perfectly, I'd say it's not a problem with the build....
Edit: I just checked the page - you can actually still download the zip. Someone just reported the file as broken, but that isn't a note from the devs (they have better grammar).
CM Roms haven't included Google apps in a long time.
Google asked that their programs weren't included because they are copyrighted material. Android being open, you can still download the GAPPS (Google Apps) pack and flash over CM's latest.
This has been the method as long as I've been on Android.
I got downloaded it from your xda website and it works!!!...now can someone tell me what is the mayor changes from CM6.0 and CM6.1 RC2? the only thing I can notice is the fm radio...anybody can tell me what also is good with this ROM?
By the way....I love cyanogenmod!!...much better than the stock one!...Keep up with the good work developers!
Anybody has some input as what is da mayor change between CM 6.0 and CM6.1 RC2?...i want to explore my new ROM....any ideas where should i start?

You could do a little Google'ing and find out...maybe a search for "CyanogenMod Changelog"?
Here, I did the hard work for you:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_vendor_cyanogen/blob/froyo/CHANGELOG.mkdn
Ooo let me be another canadian to google that for you !

Look at the change log. Lots of differences.

I've been wanting to get this feature back on my wife's KF that I flashed to ICS.
the Amazon Video app WILL NOT work on a Nexus 7. It won't run on ICS or higher.
You have to download the flash apk and use an alternative browser such as firefox, ics browser + or dolphin and watch through the browser.
i have read reports that Jelly Bean 4.1.1 breaks flash so you can't even install it, in which case amazon video is impossible on the Nexus 7.
Questions go in the Q&A section
Install the apk & use Dolphin HD to watch Amazon Instant Video via web browser.
EDIT: I included flash player from my TiBU

Got it working!
Have an SGS III with CM10 JellyBean Nightly (cm-10-20121008.....). Ran it from the stock browser provided by CM10. User Agent was left as default (Android). I installed the flash file provided by the above link. I did have to request Full Site to view. Cannot view from mobile site.

How do you get flash video streams to work?

I had an older adobe flash 11 version apk i installed and that didnt work. It only showed the blue cube symbol. Any way to make it work?
I use Dolphin Browser HD 8.5.1 and Flash 11.1.115.17 and get no problems other than full screen not working.
Another one of these...
Boat browser + latest Flash *.apk (here on xda). No problems at all, even full screen works properly.
Or Firefox + flash 11.1.115.17.

Thanks, was worried because on the sgn didnt have this issue with an older version of flash and on the nexus 7 it didnt work. Also, when I went into playstore to get the adobe flash it said was compatible with my device which sucked.
1. Flash: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html (scroll down to Flash for Android 4.0)
2. Browser:
Firefox: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...251bGwsMSwyLDEsIm9yZy5tb3ppbGxhLmZpcmVmb3giXQ..
Boat: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...r.free&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd
3. ....
4. profit.

Boat doesn't work for me with .17 Flash. I get the blue cube symbol as well so I'm sticking with Firefox which plays 90% of the videos I've tried at least.
I must have something wrong in the settings for the Boat Browser is all I can think of.
When I go to the Flash Application Settings the only choices there are Peer Networking or Local Storage. Whatever the heck I'm suppose to choose outta the two there baffled me so I just left it on local storage and it doesn't let me go any further than that but at least Firefox works set that way.
Never mind. I didn't have .17 after all.
Got 11.1.115.17 for ICS from the Adobe dev site and both Boat and Firefox beta play Amazon Prime video with sound full screen now.
Guess I don't need to sell my N7 and get a Fire HD after all.
I am having the same problem with Boat and the last couple of versions of Dolphin will not let you enable Flash.
I tried Firefox and can get the video but no sound.
I am using the latest Flash apk from the Adobe dev site, do I need to use the modified apk from xda instead?
Where can I get an older version of the Dolphin apk, before they blocked Flash?

There's plenty of ways to get Flash working
As for me, I do absolutely nothing on my Nexus 10 that requires flash.

Nothing. I hope the developers are using HTML5.

I installed the newest/last flash apk and load whatever sites in firefox that require flash I've found it to work the best so far.
A few sites I visit still refuse to move over to html5 and a few want you to purchase their app/subscribe to the site for mobile. This works as a good enough solution in the meantime.
Backup the apk from my Bionic still on 4.0.4, upload to Drive, install on N10. Then I use Firefox when need to watch flash vids.

Avoiding flash all together.
I have other computers for that.
This is how you get it to work. You just need a browser that supports flash. I use Boat Browser whenever I load a site with Flash: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gunFYgj-au8
there are so many ways to get flash working on nexus 10...boat, ocean browsers r good but for me Aosp browser is the fastest and the smoothest... Never had any problems with Aosp... just use search to get Aosp browser working on nexus 10 stock rom... all AosP roms comes with Aosp. browser hope it helps.
I did nothing.. Never needed flash on my mobile devices.. Ever
Good riddance to that horrible piece of code

You guys clearly don't want as much porn as I do.
AOSP browser with the latest flash apk (available from the "archived versions" section of the adobe flash website) is my solution. :good:
Puffin browser works for me well, but its 3 bucks. I didn't mind paying for it because its works great. You get a free 14 day trial
Latest version of Flash downloaded from the Adobe site, and Dolphin Browser.. I have both frozen via Titanium unless I need them.. I'm all for not using Flash, but I don't want to not be able to access a site just because it uses flash.

you need to sideload it. search google for the apk and install it by transferring it to your phone. Make sure you have install from unknown sources enabled under the security settings.

If you are using OS android 4.4 kitkat then you will have install flash player manually
1. Enable the installing of APK files by checking Unknown Sources on the settings just like on Android Jelly Bean.
2. Download the Boat or Dolphin Browser from the Google Play Store.
3. If you are using Dolphin, download the Dolphin Jetpack app as well from the Play Store.
4. Download the Adobe Flash version 11.1.115.81 on your mobile device using a browser or to the computer. You need to copy and paste the APK to the mobile device if you downloaded it on a computer.
5. Go to the File Manager then tap on the APK to install Adobe Flash.
6.As the installation complete, launch Boat or Dolphin browser then go to the browser’s settings to enabled Flash plugin.
Once your device has Adobe Flash, mobile browsers can now access and load Web pages with Flash content displays just like desktop browsers.
