Nexus won't boot properly after flash - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I flashed SmoothRom via that app goo.im, and when I did it, it said that I needed a compatible recovery, so I flashed the one that it recomended. Well I flashed the rom, and now my Tablet won't boot properly. I can get it to fastboot, but even when I try to flash a recovery from fastboot, it gets stuck at the boot screen (Yes my bootloader is unlocked). I've been trying to use the Nexus 7 toolkit to flash the recovery, and it is saying that it is flashing successfully, but I still cannot boot into recovery. Any ideas? I know I'm not totally bricked cause I can still get into fastboot, I just need recovery to work so that I can flash a new rom and fix this issue!

Fixed it! Just flashed the stock recovery, wen't back into fastboot and flashed CWM. Mod's you can delete this thread now

Reverted from KitKat to JellyBean and now bootloop and blank screen TWRP

I had TWRP installed and have several nandroid recoveries. After messing around on a few kitkat roms, i decided to recover back to a jellybean rom, but forgot the baseline, and now im stuck in a boot loop. I attempted to boot into recovery but my TWRP enters a blank screen and does nothing. is there a quick way I can recover back to one of my nandroids?
ended up using fastboot to flash baseband and then was able to enter my custom recovery. Problem solved, feel free to delete thread.

[SOLVED] Recovery loop - Bricked? - Reboot Mode Flag: Recovery

Hello everyone,
I'm not new to flashing and ROMs, so I tried flashing the Android L AOSP build from here. I succeded and wanted to install gapps through TWRP. I don't exactly know what I did. Now when I power on my device, I always get stuck in recovery. I already reflashed the 4.4 factory image and the AOSP lollipop build serveral times, but my fastboot info still says "Reboot Mode Flag: Recovery".
Summary: Fastboot works, I can flash imgs. Every time I start/restart it reboots to recovery.
I also tried relocking and unlocking, but I had no luck.
I hope I get my Nexus 10 working again.

Code:
fastboot erase misc

Thanks for your reply, but it didn't work. Still the same.

How did you flash the android 5.0 zip ?
Thx Josh
I extracted the imgs from the zip and fastboot flashed them one by one. Then I flashed twrp (the stock recovery didn't work seither), rebooted to twrp and installed pa pico gapps with modified script. When I rebooted, that worked. I booted to recovery a few times to make the Google Now Launcher a system app. Since that it is only rebooting to recovery.
I doubt that it's bricked.
Have you tried flashing the factory image KTU84P exactly like instructed here? :
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
Nope I already tried that..
once when i was upgrading from 4.3 to 4.4 i experienced something very similar. nothing worked.
the way i fixed it was to relock and then unlock the bootloader (even though it appeared unlocked, something was wrong.) I hope this helps.
I finally got it working. Thanks for the time you spent helping anyway.. So I flashed CWM through fastboot and restarted to recovery. CWM cleared the boot flag properly, which TWRP didn't. Now booting

Stuck in black screen, can't boot into fastboot mode

I got my Mi A1 today and it came with Android 7 installed, so I decided to install LOS. I unlocked the bootloader and then I booted into TWRP using fastboot (I didn't flash it), it gave that "system is read-only" warning. I tried to reboot to system without doing anything and it was stuck in a boot loop. Then I booted into TWRP again and flashed LOS sucessfully. When I tried to flash gapps, however, it failed claiming I was still running Android 7. I rebooted and it booted sucessfully into LOS, but that was the last time the phone ever booted. Now it shows the unlocked bootloader message and then gets stuck in a blinking black screen. I can't even boot into recovery or fastboot anymore.

It seems you will have to flash stock ROM using Mi Flash (no idea how to use it so search it) and, once is done, flash LOS again.

I somehow managed to get to fastboot and then I used MiFlash to flash the stock rom. I'm back to the bootloop, which is an improvement, because at least I can consistently get into recovery and fastboot.
The phone got stuck in that black screen after I tried to flash LOS, should I actually do it again?
EDIT: I flashed the stock rom a second time and it's working again. I don't know why, but I'll take it.

Update to stock Pie before trying to reinstall LOS again. Hope this time works.

You should install 1.0.8.0firmware first before install 9 ROM!?

flashing custom rom via twrp bootloops back to fastboot

Hi, i unlocked the bootloader and flashed twrp with this tutorial:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...t/twrp-unofficial-twrp-lenovo-z6-pro-t4035987
Now when i install any custom rom it boot loops once and loads into fastboot.
Any idea how to fix this?
i should clarify the rom install says it succeeded but when i reboot it loads into fastboot.
after manually flashing files from the most recent stock CN rom, i was able to boot into paranoid android. no clue what exactly fixed it but whatever.
