Yesterday i rooted my SGY and instaled chainfire3d in purpose to play some hd games. I instaled the apk, used to correct plugins, reduced texture quality, nevertheless the games didn't work. Do i need to do something else? Like overclocking ? Help me please. Thanks.

No. It's all good. Most probably the game's apk file or data files are incorrect, due to which this problem is occurring.

And yes there may be problem with the apk and data that you are trying to use.
I'm trying to play Nova, GTA 3 and NSF Shift. May you guys thean please send me a tutorial that you've tested and it worked? For any of those games, so i can test it. Btw i'm using stock rom, all i did was root and install chainfire...

the games you requested require a more demanding hardware,
not yet capable for SGY
Resize
our SGY screen is not compatible with it.
try to resize all video to 320 x 240. it work with Ashpalt 5 :good:
Just found out how to make nova work: just delete the both .mp4 files in its data file. Still don't know how to make NSF work.

I got a problem with the youtube app and panel which i can download here. I installed the youtube app and the panel which came from this url.
The problem is, when i click on the youtube app it doesnt load, and when i use the youtube panel the screen turns white and nothing happens.
Have u guys got any ideas? Thnx in advance!

I don't have tried the panels, but i have tried a few different youtube apps for X1.
After installing these youtube cabs, even my WMV codecs which came shipped on my phone were currupted. The problem was, that the youtube cabs installed their own codecs and they have overwritten my original ones.
I don't know, if there existing a youtube app which is compatible to X1, but i recommend you don't use any youtube apps, until anyone gives you a link with functional app
I had to Hardreset my X1 to get the original codec of wmv on its place
i hope there is anyone who can post a functional youtube app link

You should've followed the link and actually read a bit in the youtube app thread instead of creating a new topic :>. Or use the search function of this forum. It works well, I know .
Sounds like you do not have an english winMobile 6 Rom?
You have to change the *.[numbercode].mui in the windows directory to your countries code to get the application working.
Codes and more infos in the youtube app thread. just take a look.

Heh, i thought i had it working too, however, same thing as you have. I can scroll, search and pictures show up and all. However, when i want to play a movie. It say's "Error: Cannot play this video".
God, this is driving me nuts.
Youtube with Opera Mobile only works on 50% of the vids', its very choppy too.
Youtube with KinomaPlay works, but its choppy when in landscape and you'll have to pay for the full version to have more then 10 search results.
Youtube with Coreplayer works, but its buggy and crashes ALOT.
Youtube with youtubeplay works, but its only low/med-quality and the interface is very simple and dull.
Man, it will never change

It even affects the wallpapers.. that's why using per app settings is recommended which is in the pro version

Yea it directly affects the graphical rendering so everything is affected(even icons if you look carefully)

I had the same problem (although my resolution was fine) and I was able to get the metro apps working again by restoring my system to its default state.

I am also not getting my metro apps working.
I have spent days trying to find an answer to why my metro apps weren't working. I installed it on two different machines and they worked on one but not the other. Screen resolution was not an issue since both laptop resolution was high than the threshold resolution. I also tried the going back to local log in instead of a windows live log in but found no love there as well.
The only difference was that i did a clean 32bit without dev tools on the one that worked and i did a save files and settings on the other using the 64bit non dev tools.
So I backed up what i could and did a clean install of the 64bit non dev tool version and when was all said and done my metro apps worked just fine. Installed the programs i wanted i.e. World of Warcraft, updated, switched to windows live login and all still worked.
Thats how i got my Windows 8 Dev Preview to work on my laptops.
For me, screen resolution was the problem. The thread says that any resolution lower than 1024*768 causes the metro apps to stop functioning. However, they still did not work on 1366*768. I lowered the resolution to 1024*768 and it worked! Maybe Metro currently does not support widescreen resolution??
Try different resolutions. Maybe it will work for you.

My resolution is 1366x768 and when i first installed it no resolution worked. seems there are many different "solutions" out there and we as Preview Testers just have to keep trying to figure it out. That is till M$ fixes the issue. as of right now i love the new interface, or at least the challenge of figuring it out and how it fits in my world.
are you logged in using a Windows Live account? some people have had success logging in with a local account (which you can set up under Control Panel > Users > More...
I don't know if its obvious, but did you people install the correct drivers for the video and graphic cards? I have Nvidia 2GB GEforce and everything worked fine after installation of the drivers. The Windows 7 drivers work correctly, in case you were wondering.

for me with a resolution 1920*1080 , it works before installing other programs but after installing some of them , they (metro apps) stop working .
so i start installing my programs one by one and found that metro apps stop working after installing Geovision surveillance system software ( i noticed that this software change .NET framework configuration and install Microsoft Visual C++ ) , so to make them work i have to uninstall geovision OR keep it and live with it.
found solution , geovision software also disable UAC , so i reenabled it , and what you know , metro apps is working again.
I've been on the beta since it was released and the official release for 24 hours and have had the following issues so far:
Sometimes when I take a picture I'll get duplicate images in both Gallery apps.
Sometimes touch controls in games like Angry Birds simply stop working. Sometimes a reboot will fix it, sometimes I need to power on and off. This is unacceptable IMHO.
Does anyone have any more they want to discuss? The issue with the touch controls may force me back to GB.

The phone app is really heavy to load and the number search is laggy and slow!
Videocamera is slow and a bit laggy, i hope that someone could solve this
I checked some video details, before and after the system upgrade:
Gingerbread Videocamera: video: 29 fps audio 128 Kbs STEREO
ICS Videocamera: video : 28 or less fps audio 128 kbs MONO
Why this quality downgrade!?!?!?! Ehat's next? 3 Mpx photo?!
Videocamera might seem laggy but resulting videos are fine.
The real bug is 2D acceleration which is most obvious when dragging down notifications bar and scrolling in the app drawer. It is also noticeable in 2D games. For example, I get 59-63 FPS in GB while on ICS only 46-50 FPS.

No no, the video quality is the same, but the audio is worse!! Check yours video specs.
VPN PPTP-VPN:
I can connect to my VPN router but it is impossible to disconnect. Disable data or wifi is the only way to close the connection. Can anyone confirm this?

Only thing I really hate, is that many games are impossible to play because of the "touch lag". For example Age of Zombies; I can't get past the main menu, because if I press "play", it won't register my touch. This happens in most of my games.

Game itself works quite normal sometimes, but the menu lags. It's not because of performance issues because some heavy 3d games work smooth.
someone can poste a sample video from the camera to see these lags ?
The lag problem (not so lag), could be solved diabling the video stabilizer. The real question is why the audio before the update was STEREO and now is MONO!!
Temple Run is another good example. Touch controls aren't recognized correctly in both the game and the game menus.

I'm glad it isn't just me.
But it still sucks.
I've rebooted my device 3 times already today because Frisbee and Angry Birds wouldn't recognise any touches at all.
I'm unable to delete the contacts in the messaging app. I can delete the conversations but the contact still remains. Any ideas?

Anyone got problem using the email app to access Microsoft Exchange Active Sync? I got this "Waiting to Sync" message and the emails won't load.

It was the first thing I did.
I managed to make it work again by installing the module "liboemcrypto disable".
Now I can watch films, but the max resolution will be HD, but I'm still happy with this.
friend, where I get the module "liboencrypto disable" and how I install it.

you can also rename the liboemcrypto.so to liboemcrypto.so.bak in the root folder and it will allow you to use the app
