Don't change web top resolution. Leave it at 720 at 60hz.Otherwise the phone starts glitching bad when you leave web top.
Sometimes there is a green bar on bottom of screen in camera.
Sometimes the phone takes a couple seconds to wake up.
The default CPU governor is pretty jumpy. On demand works better.
That's all I've noticed so far.
Sent from my MB860 using xda app-developers app

Just confirming with others that Ramfix.zip works for non-US models.

I flashed with ICS and Ram fix CWM, install vendor.img with fast boot and now it works very stable i did not get any FC or random reboot

For rooting, simply install SuperSu, if it doesnt work:
1. Download unlock root http://www.mediafire.com/?p2wgclhox6lq218
2. Root using it, very simply, just install, plug phone and run
3. Download SuperSu and any root explorer
4. Delete superuser.apk from /system/app
5. Install superuser from market
6. Uninstall superuser from market
This will get you rooted with SuperSu (better for ICS)

Is this thread for the whole "rebirth atrix" project? Or what exactly is this for?
EDIT just saw other threads. Sorry for the post. Must say though. I CANT WAIT!!!

So is HWA working on this? Can someone confirm that?
And can someone make a thread in general section explaning the rigth steps to flash this and have a stable rom?

HWA, fingerprint and cam corder. See the other threads, let's keep this one for bugs

This thread is for bug reports and fixes ONLY.

This is for finding issues with the leaked ICS (see other threads in the dev forum).

HWA does appear to be working as per the videos in the install thread showing video camera now working as well as fingerprint reader. I think this thread is a WIP for getting a stable rom installation. The installer thread intro gives you the bare bones.

Thank you for reminding me. My phone locked up and rebooted while downloading a picture in a text. It worked after the reboot though.

i second that, i configure the apn, when i want to use the mobile data the phone reboots, works fine without data, wifi only.

Radio seems Funky
Random reboots and screen scrambling, phone gets hot. Also, screeching noise from bluetooth hands free device at times.

wifi prolem
wifi not working on mi atrix4g at&t
some solution

Phone seems stable until I place it onto the webtop. Once I open up the webtop lid, the picture is of the Android UI, out of phase, but not the webtop interface. Pull the phone out, and the UI is no longer smooth, visible tearing artifacts. After a few minutes, it reboots on its own, and either works or gets stuck in a boot loop (requiring a battery pull).

Google Now for ICS FC's, so don't try.
EDIT: It works, needs a reboot though.

Confirming tearing artifacts (same as corneliusm) on turning screen on by pressing power button while phone is connected to computer (USB cable). Was worried that my phone is dying....

I can't post in the development forum due a severe lack of postings
I had the same issue with ARHD, redownloaded and reflashed the animation and it works now. And yes, I had it enabled in settings.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
Had the same issue when i made the speed of the rom go to fast within spare parts, just knock it down to normal on both trainsition and window and it should sort it out.
If it doesn't then disable the animation from display, reboot your phone, switch it back on and enable, lock your device wait for a few seconds then re open and see if it comes back on.
Chances are it's the speed of the windows animations, or the animations are set to off.
Hope this helps.
wow now i feel dumb. I was going out of my mind trying to get the crt off animation working on ARHD 5.2.1 and now i find out i had to enable it in settings.
Still Talkback FC
Good evening,
don't know where to write this issue,...
after flashing 3.3.1 still have the fc of talkback. No addon installed, just LeeDroid. It is an amazing rom, the battery life is really great now. But I still can't use talkback-every time I try to use this instead of touch input, I have to restart the phone. Sense crashes. Somebody an idea of solving this issue? Someone with similar experiences?

Comments about RO Acudroid V3 ICS Themed - 21/02/12 on Super Smooth Android 2.3.6 JQ9

Being a noob I am not allowed to post on the development forums...........
last night I upped my Galaxy Tab (Thai ROM) to Gengerbread 2.3.6 and Acudroid V3 ICS Themed.
1st I would like to comment about the instructions and the process:
My Tab is an important work tool for me - and I was a bit worried about bricking it and taking days to recover... BUT - I followed the instructions of Acubens - and where pointed to teamovercome.net kept following their instructions to the letter, and happily after a couple of hours my Tab was running 2.3.3 with teamover's ROM and later 2.3.6 with the Acudroid V3 ROM.
Restoring apps + data was fast and easy using Titanium and very soon I had my phone up and running just like I want it
As far as I can tell so far - seems everything is working fine - phone calls, sms, camera, email, GPS, wifi, GPRS, sounds and notofocations. As I didn't see and speed improvement I downloaded and installed no-frills CPU and overclocked the CPU to 1.2GHz - and now the Tab is FLYING.......
Now that I've done the up and ROM change - I hope to see more new ROMs for the TAB

So far 2 small issues I came accross -
1. Some notification sounds are not right - i had chrome2phone app and instead of just a short bip like it used to be - it was a non stop bipping for about 15 minutes. I removed the app and try to re-install only I can install it now for some reson. I installed for now the "browser 2 droid" instead, but the notification sound is the same 15 minutes non stop bipping...
Don't get sound notifications for "what's up", and on Gtasks. Probably some other apps that I didn't notice so far.
2. On some of the menus the text under the icons is white over white so can't see it before actually pressing it...
as for battery life - seems a shorter than the stock ROM I used before, but that might be becuase I play with the phone a bit more now...

Hi,
To reduce the issues i only make wipe versions from now on, and nowipe will not be available. I know it is some work but see it this way i have a lot of work to make the rom available, so all i ask from you if you like to use the rom to make an backup and flash a wipe version and it is worth the trouble i think.

Hi, i will look into the sound problem you have, maybe those apps uses the default sound scheme of gingerbread and i have change that, so can you tell which sound they use of the system? And can you not change the settings in that app to use other sounds?

If i have an update for your sound issue i will let you know..

there is no setting menus for those 2 apps so can't change anything. The chrome2phone was working fine on my original ROM (froyo)
isn`t there is Android 2.3.7 for the galaxy tab
can you use it in the next update?
but i think this is a great job you`ve done

Hi,
Sorry but no, i included a app called quickboot, this app shutdown or reboot your tab much faster, and you do not have to use a mechanical button that can be outworn if you use it much.

I looked for a solution and seems there is none... many users complain about the notification sound, some also mention it lasts forever (like mine...), but no 1 mention what version of Android they are using http://code.google.com/p/chrometophone/issues/detail?id=239 . It worked fine on froyo - short sound and thats it. so probably some changes between froyo and GB cuases the problem. Only way to stop the sound is by forceclosing the app

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback on the issue you have, it will probably never work as it is made for froyo and not for gingerbread.

WIFI
It seems I have a problem with the WIFI scanning. It only scans when I reconnect the WIFI. If I go out of the WIFI area the tab goes on EDGE as should be, but when coming into a WIFI area it wont show it nor connect to it unless I stop WIFI service and start again. Didn't have this problem on V3... Anyone else got this problem? any solution?

Hi,
Wifi scanning is set for 180 seconds to save battery, if you like to change that you can install rootexplorer and change settings in build.prop or delete the complete line and save it.

Changed it to 45 - hope it fixed the probel (will see next time I leave the office).
For the benefit of other noob's (it took me a while to find out how to do it...) here's how I managed the change step by step:
1. Used Rom Toolbox / scripter / Mount System Read Write / Run
2. Used Root Explorer to go to /system/build.prop << Long press on the file name and change permissions to rwrwrw
3. Used Astro to open the file (long press, select open as / text << select astro's text editor), located the line I wanted to change [wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=180], changed the value, saved
4. Used Root Explorer to go to /system/build.prop << Long press on the file name and change permissions to rwr-r-
5. Used Rom Toolbox / scripter / Mount System Read Only / Run
6. Reboot system
Careful not to change something you are not sure about as you might brick the phone....
use ES File Explorer.
Just make sure you go to its setting, Root Option and enable its Root Explorer and Mount File System.
Then you can browse to "Favourite" and select the "/"
and go to systems and edit the build.prop using its own internal ES Edit note, and it even make a backup of the original file for you.
A lot less step than what you needed to do there.

It's a good new indeed. But don't understand why you're waiting for JB to use the tablet.
As I know JB is a "minor" update, and Thinkpad with ICS's working very fine for me (not like the crappy 3.1 !!!)
Loving my TPT on ICS, I don't care for JB on it, I just want root access!
Thank's to Koshu!
I've successfully installed CM10 v. 0.5, but have problem with layout switch on external Thinkpad Folio keyboard. "CTRL+SCPACE" combination doesn't work. It's annoying to change layout through settings..
It'll be good to change input language by pressing "Sym" key on keyboard as it were in original firmware.
P.S. Can't post it to dev forum.
wow, great work Koshu!
Outstanding job! Works great! Screen lock works fantastic!
Quick question: using adwlauncher and the screen draws sometimes get a bit messed up. The only scroll method that works is regular side to side bounce. Any thoughts?
Thanks again and awesome job!
Interesting just changed density hack option for icons. Unchecked screens are not useable. Checked screen useable but screen draws sometimes get messed up. Would this have something to do with the density issue you mention?
Also, noticed Gallery app doesn't show synced account photos fro Google. Not sure how to fix this.
Latest update - v5, Bluetooth appears to be broken
I saw this in the developer thread, but I'm not allowed to post there yet.
I wanted to confirm that I am also seeing the problem with Bluetooth not being able to turn on, after apply v5 of this ROM. Everything else seems to be working great, though.
Update: Oops, sorry, I guess this thread is for Thinkpad, not the Ideapad K1. My comments apply to the latter.

Yep that is correct.
Since I am still a few posts short of the required 10 for posting in the development section I will give my feedback here.
Koshu released an experimental version 0.8 today, I installed it and ran into one rather annoying problem, the browser button seems to disable not only touch input, but also pen input. I have already wiped and reflashed, if I can provide any helpful logs or some such just let me know it.

A few posts shy as well. Was thinking of flashing 0.8 , but it sounds like it may ne good to wait. Current version doesn't have touchscreen working for some major games like deadspace and shadowrun. Hoping that gets fixed soon.
Developer is doing a great job keeping this tablet current. We are lucky!

Allright. Been reading only long enough. Here I com for my 10 posts
BTW
I successfully put koshus cm10 on my tpt as well. I think I like it.
OTA 3.5 was pretty awesome as well, but it was the annoying little details that lenovo couldn't get fxed.
Noticed that copy and paste doesn't seem to work with cm10. Am I doing sth. wrong?
I'm still on 0.7 cause I need 3G.
If anyone with more then 10 posts reads this:
could you please ask over at the developers forum if anyone has copy-paste issues. it does seem to work sometimes. but not every time I long press some text. especially bad in firefox.

I don't have the 10 posts but I am running 0.8.1 and have not noticed any cut and paste issues. I'll exercise the cut and paste in Firefox and let you know what I find.
EDIT: I tried cut and paste with both Firefox and Dolphin browsers on several web sites and didn't have any problems except with Firefox on the this xda site.

ah ok, thanks. it showed while I tried to post here and over at official lenovo forum. maybe its related to forum sites...
I think it's the recent firefox update. It seems it is very hard to even press a link now. this was better before.
so no blame to koshus great work!
This policy of the 10 posts before posting on the development forum is driving me crazy. I have a lot of questions on this rom but zero answers...
...let's try anyway...
I am experiencing a relevant and annoying issue: when I plug the hdmi cable in, there is a significant drop in responsiveness. For instance, Lecture Notes becomes almost unusable. Any clues? I didn't notice this problem before with the stock kernel. Can it be related to a driver issue?
My first post here... let me just say thanks for the awesome work with CM10 on the TPT Kosh!
I flashed 0.8.1 on my TPT last night which had a SC rom (lots of Chinese apps etc). It works well but I have noticed the TPT is rebooting randomly. Doesn't seem to be consistant as I can watch a 40 minute video, let it sit idle for 3-4 hours with no reboot.
Anyone else have these issues? Is there any log files I can look at to see what is causing it to reboot?

two issues?
This ROM is so smooth, no crashes or anything. That being said the Google now voice activation ( OK Google ) and the internet local results by garb shown up on the stock kitkat dialer are not working. The dialer search is only giving results from the device itself

there's a bug with the CPU performance in that if you try and set the max and min values and check "set on boot" they somehow get reset to the default settings or get maxed out. this only happens when "set on boot" is activated.
Just an FYI the CM Nightlies have a CPU bug. Mine was charging for an hour and it gained 8% battery and was so hot I didn't even feel safe holding it. (This is coming from someone who has done alot of crazy and stupid stuff with my phones) The charger was hot as hell as well. Not sure if its a charging issue or CPU clock/voltage issue (it runs a lot hotter then GPE under load) but be warned.
Switched it back to GPE and its fine.. Also keep an eye out for ART, don't have it charging while making the switch (android is upgrading screen). The phone will get molten and I am not joking.

the CPU wasn't an issue in CM10.2 so it's something in CM11...will probably end up going to OmniROM instead.
?
I havent been having any issues with overheating. in the latest build however there are constantly force closes of the sound search process. not sure what thats about.
Anyone else having issues with the internet search results not coming up in the dialer search bar?
also why is this thread in the general category and not development?

yes, i am replying to my own post... apparently if you go to settings -> accounts -> Google -> Search and enable google now, then the "ok Google" hot word that activates search in the persistent search bar on the home screens does not work.
As soon as i disabled google now, the ok google hotword activates voice commands again, as it should.
Is this normal?
How is the camera quality?

Same as it was in CM10.2 pretty much.
Can any of you access the Google+ auto awesome video?
I used to have it on a GPE Rom but looks like it is no longer there on CM11...

Fixed!
I was getting these error messages and all the latest nightlies weren't installing for me either, with no information given with the error message,
So after many hours of messing around, I figured out the problem. I use clockwork to flash my mods. And I downloaded "ROM Manager" from Play Store. When starting the program, I noticed a message saying there was a new version of clockwork available and asked if I wanted to download it. I figured, what the hell, couldn't hurt! So I downloaded, installed it. Then updating to the latest nightly (cm-11-20140525-NIGHTLY-m7.zip) worked! No more problem!
I hope this helps some people install their newest nightlies!!!!#@ Enjoy,

ExistenZ Marshmallow problems and solutions

Our beloved developer @niaboc79 is getting very tired of people always asking the same questions and posting their problems in the development topic of his rom.
So I decided to make this topic in the "general" section of the forum where people can post about their problems and hopefully some solutions, in the hopes that it will help him and the people having problems at the same time.
Whenever a cause or a solution for a problem is found, I will put it in the second post, right underneath this one.
I want to make clear that I'm not an expert and cannot help much myself, I will just collect and centralize information, and I'm in no way affiliated with @niaboc79 and his work, and do absolutely not deserve any credits for his work.
Also there is no guarantee that the information I collect and post in the second post will be a solution for your problem even if it has apparently worked for other people with similar symptoms.
I invite everyone that uses his rom to share helpful information here. (please)
Firstly ; a copy of the FAQ that @niaboc79 posted himself. You should read it before asking questions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How to flash the DRM fix and avoid loosing of recovery
A:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67111204&postcount=1169
Q: Hey, that thing doesn't work!
A: Check if there isn't an (*) at the right of setting description, that means that you must restart SystemUI.
If it is not the case, try to enable/disable option a few time and reboot or read thread to find an answer.
Q: Why is there greyed options in eXistenZ settings!
A: These otions aren't available yet.
Q: Weather isn't working on lockscreen or in expanded status bar...
A: Go in settings/eXistenZ/Notification Panel/Weather Settings;
Press on Weather panel icon, then on Display weather switch;
Select OpenWeatherMap as Weather source;
Use Custom Location;
Set your Location

Recovery access problems:
-Don't update busybox
-Don't update Kernel
-Don't flash DRM fix (see FAQ)
If you haven't done one of the above, you should be able to enter recovery by pressing volume down (repeatedly) while starting up the phone.
If you did do one of the above, simply reflash the rom.
Note: since version 4.7 (or alternatively version 3.9) lag is no longer appearing in the rom. If you do witness lag on 4.7 (3.9) there is probably something that you have done that is causing it. Check and double check your apps and settings before trying other solutions in that case!
Lag problems:
-Update to rom version 4.7 (or 3.9 for the rom based on the beta firmware)
-Follow the instructions posted here on rom version prior to 4.7 (3.9)
If you still witness lag after that:
-After installing, give the rom some time to settle, it has to index all your files and the memory management still has to find out what apps (you) are running. This takes a long time (depending on your usage) so give it some days.
-Some xposed modules and Greenify are known causes. Disable that if you use them and see if the lag still persists. If it is gone, you can find the exact module/setting that is the cause by disabling just one module/setting at a time and try if the lag has gone. (this also counts for other problems by the way)
-Stamina mode makes the phone slower as it lowers processor speed etc. Turn it off and check if the lag has gone.
-Many (also popular) apps use quite a lot of system ressources even if you aren't using them. You could uninstall your apps, then reinstall them one at a time, use the phone a bit to check if the lag came back, if not install the next app, and so on until you find the app that is making your phone lag/behave weird.
-Never restore a titanium backup (or similar) when coming from a lollipop rom. There are several differences between lollipop and marshmallow so you risk to restore incompatible stuff.
-Activating blur in recents causes lag (v 3.5, should be solved with the next update of the rom) Fixed in final version
Profile picture (top right of status bar) won't remain after reboot:
-Open the contacts app and go to the first contact (that should contain info about you, and no image) and choose the picture you would like to see in stead of the blue user icon (click on the pencil and then on the image)
Now the image for the user switch in the status bar has been changed too, and it will stick after reboot.
Switch user causes a crash of the beta feedback app and doesn't work
-Remove beta feedback app
You can now switch users, although the system will crash/reboot, it does switch. (will be fixed in a future release of the rom) Fixed in final version
Reserved for later use

The second post of this topic right here...
i did try to reflash the rom after upgrading busybox, but i just cant find a way to flash zip file through pc.
is there a way to flash the rom without flashing back to stock?
Maybe this will work
But if you have problems, there is nothing better than starting from scratch and do a clean install imo

By just looking at that image, not really.
I see that you haven't used your phone much during the time of the picture, so no apps are using battery, nor your screen. That automatically makes the operating system the most consuming thing, as it is needed to keep the phone running.

Click on the app to see what is consuming (radio, processing.... ) if it is the radio, maybe you had very bad connection. If it's the process that prevents the processor going to sleep you should try to find out what is running all the time.

Actually, I take at least 7 pictures with Camera FV-5/ 7 with stock app, with screen brightness full. Used WhatsApp and Telegram too, normally these apps and screen should be on top of the list. I have no idea of what the hell I do :silly:
