8GB! I hope this is only for the prototype. If Google launch with an 8GB option with no expandable storage it will be way too small. They can shove the cloud up their ass.
I know there will be a 16GB model too, but they really need a 32GB option as well. Cloud storage is still in its infancy, and not everyone has access to LTE yet.

It is a 3630. TI OMAP3630-1000 to be exact. I think your referring to the "Droid 2" which has the slide out keyboard. Droid X isn't a follow up to the original Droid; it's is to compete with HTC's Evo.
I'm disappointed that it will only shoot 720p at 24 fps, but as long as it's a rock solid 24fps, I can live with it.

Yep, here's the official spec page:

So is it safe to assume that this will use the same SGX530 GPU used with the OMAP3430 in the Droid? Wouldn't be a bad thing IMHO.
just read that the 8 gigs of enternal memory is all for rom and app storage. no need for a2sd. just read on motodev that the 16gb sdcard is class6 just hoping the bus speed on the sdcard isnt as low as the droid

I personally doubt it given that almost every aspect of those specs differs from what has previously been rumoured about the Duo - the CPU, the screen size and the screen res are all different.
Also, I can't see the appeal of a handset with a 720p display and such a relatively poor CPU/GPU.
To power a handset with a screen like that, you'd want something better under the hood.

The specs actually quite match the Duo's. 1.4Ghz might just as well be a 1.4Ghz Dualcore. 720p display will never happen for now just because it's useless and SE would have to redo their whole UI for it (everything has to be rescaled). And the screenshots are definately not from a 720p device.

Even assuming they've somehow confused single-core and dual-core, none of the rest of the specs match up.
Not that there's much in the way of specs mentioned in that article...
It could be the Duo but probably only if that article's completely wrong.

yes, the single-core wont match the HD screen. So the pierce of info is just fake. Or at least, it contains much wrong info.

But the screen shot is not 720p, maybe they just tested the ROM on an Arc or whatever. And the article indeed says single core

I have already seen the phone. My friend works for SE and has got his hands on it. According to him, the processor is the exact same as we have in the Arc. It has just been upped to 1.4ghz. Thats all I can tell you...

Suprising they're spitting out phones with those specs as of today. I mean, we're almost in Q4 of 2012.
No, no, no... You want the HDC I9300 Pro... It has the MTK6577 processor that goes to 2.0Ghz and has 1 Gb or ram... Its also dual sim (if you want it to be) with a normal sized sim &/or a micro sized sim. Or 2 normal sized sim if you want. White or Frost Blue. And only $210US... What a bargain....
Might be nice for a novelty, if you have a spare couple hundred floating around but I have other things to spend my money on...

I guarantee you it's more like .8MP. I've seen China phones that were 12MP but in reality were 1.2 at best.
And if you've ever used a decent smart phone, let alone an S3 you would definately notice the difference. The knock-offs are horrible to use.

It can be an 8MP sensor but if the processing sucks it'll look like a 0.8MP shot.
