[Q] Wiimote Control - Nexus Q Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey, anyone managed to get a Wiimote as BT-mouse replacement working? I tried USB/BT Joystick Center with the Joystick2Touch addon, but failed due to lacking touchpad-support (J2T complained about it).

[Q] manually edit wired controller profile?

Hey so i know there is a way to manually connect a xbox360 wireless controller by editing a file, but is there a way to manually add more buttons and triggers to the wired Xbox controller profile? It connects the controller when plugged in and it works, but the dpad and left joystick are mapped to the same thing and the right joystick plus the triggers don't work at all. Is there a way to manually don't his or do I have to buy an expensive app or something. I'm trying to use emulators with this by the way not dead trigger/GTA/other games.
OK so i have come to the realization that it is nor possible without the app. Bummer. But I'm trying to do it with Ubuntu and Xbox DRV and i have run into a few problems there. Xboxdrv exists but i cant seem to install joydev. Is there a package for the n7? An so i cant seem to unload xpad. It just tells me it does not exist and then tells me it is use and can not be unloaded? In a little confused by that.

mapping keys from a usb sixaxis controller

I have been looking for a solution to this for the past few days and can't seem to find one.
I have a hama black force controller and i want to use it for gaming on my nexus 7 but i cant find a way to set up my keys to the touch screen. I tried the sixaxis controller app from the google play store but the app doesn't recognize my controller. Any idea's on a solution on this or is it even possible.
Thx in advance and sorry for my bad English.

PS4 Remote Play and DS4 button mapping

I've been able to get the PS4 Remote Play app to work on my rooted G2 (stock ROM, Sprint) and I used the Sixaxis app to connect the DS4 remote to it, but the buttons are all mapped funky. Anyone know how to fix that? It seems to work fine on other phones so I am assuming this is a G2 problem.

Android detects gamepad as mouse/keyboard

Hello!
A couple days ago I bought a Steelseries FREE Mobile Wireless Controller - it connects via bluetooth.
But when I first tried connecting to it, it was recognized as mouse, I guess - I could move cursor using left analog, one of the buttons was click, another was back, etc.
It was impossible to use it in any game. Fortunately, I have found an app called Bluez IME - it emulates pad buttons as keyboard buttons, and it works in some cases(like n64 emulator or gta3), but sometimes games just don't recognize it(eg. FPSE or Riptide GP2).
I think it's stock bluetooth service's fault, because on my phone it works fine(but obviously I didn't buy a gamepad to play on 3.5" screen ) but I can't be sure :/
Has anyone had this problem before on this tablet?
P.S. I'm running android 4.2.2 and I wrote a support ticket on Steelseries' website and I'm waiting for reply.
Also, please move if wrong section.
EDIT:
I have been thinking a bit - if Bluez IME can interpret input from my controller, maybe it would be possible to write an app that would take that input and emulate a gamepad. Do you think it could be done? Unfortunately, I have very little java experience :/
EDIT 2:
I just got an reply from Steelseries support:
"Hello,
Unfortunately, it will always detect is as a mouse. I am sorry but this is just the way that it was designed.
Best regards,[...]"
I guess, that the guy from support didn't exactly understand that my problem wasn't the mouse but the fact that I can't play any gamepad-enabled games - only with keyboard emulation ._.

PS4 remote play v2.6 working, but can't use any controller

So I got the ps4 remote play app working on my Shield but I haven't been able to get any controller working inside the ps4 remote play app.
Which is kind of weird, because all controllers I tried are working fine outside in all other apps.
One thing I haven't tried is to pair a ds4 controller with this sixaxis controller app on play store.
I head with this app it works. Can anyone confirm this?
In the ps4 remote play app there are these on screen touch buttons for use with a smartphone (I can also use them via the touchpad on my logitech keyboard).
I also read that the sixaxis controller app takes the ds4 controller input and emulates these touch button presses.
My goal would be to use other controllers than a ds4 controller, preferably a xbox one controller.
I guess if an app/module could grab controller input and emulate these touch presses in ps4 remote play app it could work....
Unfortunatly I'm no dev god that could code sth. :crying:
Maybe someone has an idea here?
What version of the app are you using and where did you download it.. can't even get that done for myself

Version 2.6 from apkmirror, newer ones don't work.
It won't work without root.
There's 2 things that are important to make it work:
In Magisk manager you have to install the Sony framework v1 module by Seyaru which makes it even possible to install the remote play app.
This also adds some Dualshock 3/4 system app.
Once installed, do not start the ps4 remote play app yet.
In Magisk manager settings activate Magisk hide. Go to Magisk hide and hide both the ps4 remote play app and the Dualshock.. app.
Now start ps4 remote play app and it should work.
Oh, if you try it on smartphone I should add: The ps4 remote play app will automatically update itself to latest version (which doesn't work) even if you deactivate auto update in playstore!
There's a modified version of ps4 remote play app v2.6 somewhere that doesn't auto update itself. But yeah.. on the Shield we don't have that problem since we sideload the app
So Shield tv needs root? I'm wanting to set this up so my mother can play her PS4, in her room, in our living room. She has no plus access to just transfer her save to the livingroom's PS4 Pro unit and doesn't want to have to manually transfer it back and forth.

Yes..or magisk and xposed modules. To be precise.
It's a shame that Sony doesn't enable ps4 remote play app for all android devices but just for their xperia devices.
Since October the PS4 remote play app is comptable with all Andoid devices including the Shield. I installed it on it but my Dualshock 4 controller seems to not we working. After launching the app, I have an error message : Dualshock is not compatible...
I also tried with the official Shield controller (v2 from 2017) and no error message, but it doesn't work better...
What's the problem ?
