Or AT& T

Great way to score your rating. I will report you.

All it takes to unlock the bootloader is an aboot that doesn't verify the signature of what's being flashed.

Voodoo SIM Unlock.. If you're rooted

Jeez dude, you better change your credit card and browsing habit if you managed to get scam 3 times. Also don't go to the link posted by s3lover, he's a spammer and the link is a scam.
You can do it for free. I think there is a thread somewhere which has an app which generates a code for you.
Voodoo dont work in the new roms...
For free ..not in the roms...
The link posted dont smell good....

mine is locked to orange UK, im now using LFB (previous to the latest LG8 firmware), i had unloked my phone using voodoo unlock (rooted), but its not working on LG8 as you have mentioned, came thorough the bleow link while searching on the net, see if it works, if it does then good for all of us,
I have not yet tried this as Im not at home and cant flash LG8 now to test it, but Im have got a code after putting my imei no. in the link..

This question has already been asked more than once. Why not use the "search" function and follow the posting rules instead of complaining about no one rushing to this thread?
The phone hasn't even been released yet. My advice is to give it a couple of weeks (at least) and let people have a look at it to see if it can be easily unlocked or not. Otherwise, you can try to deal with the carrier (or who ever you purchase your phone from) to try and get an unlock code. You usually need to be persistent and keep trying if getting the code doesn't work at first.

Free unlock codes are not safe.So better you can use any paid unlock codes to unlock your Samsung Galaxy S4 from AT&T network lock.To get unlock code visit Unlock-zone.com .Here they provide unlock code with free step by step instructions at low cost. This is safe and secure.

Verizon is not going to support unlocking the bootloader on a non developer device. I'm not sure the point of creating a petition.

I think it was around... never? Yep, that's it. When are people going to realise that online petitions aren't taken seriously? Only exception is if it's signed by millions and the media gives it publicity. Otherwise forget it.

Honestly, I don't see the point. Verizon doesn't want an unlockable bootloader on their devices. There is nothing that can make that happen. They don't want to have to deal with the support issues. If you want a phone with a unlockable bootloader, don't buy a Verizon phone. It is not that complicated. A petition has no bearing on Verizon's decision. There isn't enough customers who really want to unlock their phone's bootloader to install a custom rom.
So good luck to all 17 of you!
Sent from my XT1034 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I find it amazing you can reply to this thread twice, with no intentions of helping out your fellow xda'er. Why did you even bother replying? It does not take much time to sign the petition. Less then it took you to reply twice, that's for sure.
There's really nothing amazing about two posts. The time wasted here can be matched evenly with, say, signing this junk.
Here's to being blissful time spenders!

I throw everything under the sun at it

I throw everything under the sun at it. I been working on getting the Verizon Note Edge rooted. I tryed every root tool out there. Even every CF autoroot. Verizon has this phone locked to the tee. Hope someone comes up with something soon. I even tryed ADB codes. Its a no go. So if you planing to buying the note edge with verizon and want root. You might be better off with sprint or t-mobile. Towelroot will not work with this phone. I even ripped that app apart to hack into it. To see what geohot did. That was no good also. Intil we get some really good dev's on this. This edge on verizon will never be rooted. Hopes this helps who ever plans on buying one..
i want and edge... can i use any other carrier with verizon and root it.. or can i buy a non carrier specific edge to work with verizon?

I been on the phone all week between Verizon and Samsung. Trying to get info on the developer edition and trying to throw FCC REGULATIONS laws at them. One rep hung up on me. Saying that Verizon don't care about the law. I am thinking about switching careers. Then taking Verizon to court for forcing contracts on people. That don't meet standards of the FCC. I spent 3 hours reading every regulations of the FCC. And how the block C works that Verizon bought back in 2007.
