MAGLDR start booting from SD but switches to NAND halfway through. - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

I bought a (used) HD2 to replace my broken HD2. The old HD2 still had the original WM6.5 ROM and I was running AmeriCanAndroid from SD card (using RunDroid).
The "new" HD2 has MAGLDR v1.13 and has some Android flavor in NAND.
I've put the SD card in the new HD2, and told MAGLDR where it can find Android on the SD, and when I tell it to boot from SD it indeed starts loading AmeriCanDroid.
You always see two boot images. One static which changes after a while to an animated boot image. When it starts loading, I see the static image from AmeriCanDroid. But halfway through, where it normally switches to the animated boot image, it suddenly switches to the animated boot image from the Android in NAND. The a few seconds later, it turns out it has loaded the Android vesion in NAND instead of from SD.
What's going on here?

[Q] Android (NAND or SD) will not load on my HD2

Hello!
I have installed android on a few of my co-workers devices (both SD and NAND). One particular device, however, will not let me install it or get it to run.
When I try the NAND method, it freezes at the MAGLDR launch, no option choices, nothing.
When I try the SD method, it freezes at the launch of Haret.exe. It shows the first five lines of Commands and stops.
I've tried starting from scratch method, tried Task 29, and i've noticed that 90 percent of the custom roms ive tried keep freezing. I'm stuck on this one and i need some help!
Start again from scratch. Flash a stock ROM, flash the latest radio and the latest HSPL.
Just completed flashing HSPL3 after starting from scratch, i get the same result from both NAND boot and SD. (magldr launches with no options, Haret.exe doesnt get past the first 5 command lines

[Q] Dual boot WP7/Android question... :D

Hey guys, been setting up my phone to dual boot WP7 and Android.
I used this tutorial and followed it to the T.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944288
I am on the very last step, all of the partitioning is done right and the android folder is on the SD ready to boot. In the video he says to go to option 2 in MAGLDR; Boot AD SD. He clicks on it in the video and it says Error: SD Kernel Open Failed! Then he shuts off the camera and proceeds with saying go down to option 10 (Services), then click option 1 (Boot settings), then click option 3 (AD SD Dir). I did all of this but when he clicks the AD SD Dir in MAGLDR, it takes him to a new screen. For me, it takes me to the main MAGLDR menu! I noticed that he is using MAGLDR 1.13... and I am using 1.12. Is this a problem? If not, what gives? Thanks!
Just for anyone who has had this issue.
I installed MAGLDR 1.13 and it worked flawlessly
So happy with my fast WP7 and my very fast Android. Perfection on the best phone made to date.
probably have to use 1.13
a quick tip, charge the phone in android, battery will last longer
anyways dual booting is the best!1

[Q] Problems with HD2 (Android)

Since this week I have a really big problem with my HD2.
November last year I started to install Android on my HD2, first on the SD card and then finally on the Nand (everything went well). Last week I installed one of the latest version and working just fine for one week it stagnated. I had to remove the battery, because nothing worked anymore. After that I got only the white starting screen with HTC and then nothing…
First I run Task29 and flashed it, HSPL, Radio, MAGLDR and then ClockworkMod Recovery. The result was that sometimes the white HTC starting screen popped up, tough I kept the power button pushed down, and sometimes I could enter the MAGLDR. If I finally got into the MAGLDR and tried to recover a backup or try to do a fresh/new install. I formatted the SD with the Panasonic SDformatter, but it didn’t had any effect. Finally I flashed the HD2 back to WM6.5 and the HD2 start working again (not very well). After this I tried to install Android on the SD card, but now the HD2 keep stagnates in the white HTC starting screen and nothing else works..
ROM: Boyppc Ginger 2.3.4 HoneyComB V27, with 150Mb system partition and an 1Gb ext2 partition on the SD card.
Is this a software or a hardware problem? Or both?
Can somebody please help me, because I have no clue how to repair this???
Best regards,
Janha,

[Q] Dualboot American Android

hi,
its driving me crazy..
I have an HD2 with MAGLDR 1.13.
In Nand i have a Android 2.3 CM7 Typhoon build.
Now i try to boot a American Android from SD.
I formated my SD card with fat32.
I replaced the rootfs.img with the one for magldr.. startup.txt too.
I start AD SD from MAGLDR...
I see American Android logo.
After a few minutes it bootes my typhoon Android from Nand. without a reboot.. just switching from american droid logo to typhoon bootlogo...
I cant get it booting the american android.
A Mdeejay_FroYo_Revolution from SD boots just fine after editing the rootfs.img.
Some ideas ?
maybe you can try an older build of it.i was able to boot older builds with mgldr 1.13 but after 21 july builds i'm unable to boot, too.
solved...
erased phone with task29...
installed magldr again.. works now
