Hello, I just converted my HTC HD2 from W6.5 to android nand 2.2, and so far I'm really impressed at the speed and the available apps. However, I cannot connect to the internet without using my home wifi. I have seen the other threads saying to download the datacontroller.cab file and I have done that. But I can't open the file to download it or get it to work.
I know this is a newbie question, but that's what I am.
Help? Let me know what additional information you need and I'll get it!!!

Whichever build you are using is old and will probably have many bugs. Try a newer build. Also, as far as I know .cab files do nothing in Android, these are for WinMo.

Samsamuel, that didn't work either. The buld downloads no longer exist.

Oh dear... first choose a ROM you like. I personally recommend Typhoon CM7 but you can choose pretty much any ROM in the Android NAND Development section on the first page. Then follow this guide to get your Android build running.

I got it figured out. From searching the internet, I found a site that walked me thru the fix. It's the APN settings in the mobile networks, under settings.

Thanks for the links. I tried something...not sure what..now not able to move from the white screen. I can go to ACE HACK KIT menu but not able to see my main window. Scared already due to my silly work...phone gone? Can anyone advice? Thank you so much.

Already rooted? Go to the link I posted, post#7. Try and boot into recovery.
Give more details next time. Knowing what you did helps fixing your issue.

I'm having DHD with Android 2.3.5 and Sense 3.0, i've bought it a year and a half ago, and I never touched it, so it is unrooted and has it's original (stock) room.
Now I'd like to flash a custom rom to it, I've done a lot of research and found out I need to downgrade my device to be able to root it. Now, I've spent hours looking for a proper guide of how to downgrade the device and root it, but found nothing really.
Can you help me? I've almost given it up :S

I kept getting that on my first ever root attempt. Turns out it was my lead. Make sure it's the original lead. (mine was actually the original but it was faulty, did charge still though) hope this helps.

You need to use AAHK (Advanced Ace Hack Kit). You can no longer find it on XDA.
But if you search google for AAHK you will find their support page, and you can download it from there.
Also mae ksure to read the manual (called the effin' manual). Don't skip a word!!
Also, since you are on 2.3.5 you need to downgrade. Instructions are on the effin manual.

The guide was written by glevitan, thus, he deserves the thanks. All I did was point you in the right direction (and proof-reading that guide about 5 times before it was uploaded ).

I know this is probably not the right sections but I couldn't post on the official thread as I was not or did not have sufficient privileges. I would appreciate any help or a lease to download Paranoid Android on my Nexus 7 tablet.

Is anyone else having issues setting up their Exchange account? I can get through the first part of the setup where it asks for the email, password, username, servername, then I click next and it is checking the server, and then says "The server outlook.office365.com must be able to remotely control some security features on your device. Continue?", and I click Ok, I get "Unfortunately email has stopped". So I cannot setup my work email. I tried to copy the SecEmail_J.apk, SecExchange.apk, and a couple of libraries that start with libjni_email... from the I-9505 PhoeniX 10.0 ROM but it doesn't fix it. Is there something else I can do to provide more information?

If I remember right, OP says it can take up to 8 minutes. Gives instructions on what to do if it does take that long.

I am on XDA developer formum from quite a while but this is my first thread and i want to ask few questions about PhoeniX 10.0 VZW Rom.
1. If i install this Rom is the DATA and WIFI is going to work with this rom ? (If someone already asked this question before just redirect me to that link).
2. What are the things that are still gitchy in this rom ? I really appreciate the answer from someone who has used it on SPRINT S4 L720. (If someone already asked this question before just redirect me to that link).

Data and wifi do work just fine on this Rom.
The only issue I have seen is that I can't add my office 365/work email to the stock email app.

Same here on the Exchange mail issue. I just use Nine mail instead. There are instructions in the OP to get data and wifi working if it doesn't work right away. I followed them and got mine working fine. .
Will this ROM work with nj2 baseband ?
GPS not working PhoeniX 10.0 VZW Rom on Sprint SPH-L720
I am using thread: PhoeniX 10.0 VZW rom on my Sprint SPH-L720 everything is working (DATA/WIFI) after doing whatever devs have mention in the thread but only thing that is still not working is GPS. It tries to search for the gps but it keep searching it and i tired to do it by going to setting > PhoeniX Extra > Faster Fix Gps and set it as North America still no luck. I really appreciate that if anyone has the workaround for this problem. (If this question is already asked before please give refer me to the link).

Thank you for replying. If you know any way to to fix gps please let me know because i tired everything that is mention on this thread but still not luck.

Anyone know how to turn off the caller anouncement that interrupts the ringtone? I've looked around n cant find the setting.
Finally got data to work had to mark bearer as eHRPD let the fun begin. Also I thought I ticked stock weather widget but it's not there any way to get it. I tried searching but no luck guess I need to search how to search. Lol I could swear I've seen a link to the apk here

I picked up a Ouya at a thrift store for 15 bux. Would like to root but dont want to trash it. Is there a new method that works.
I powered it up and it took an update yesterday so its at the latest.
There's a search button for that reason. Just try it...

Thanks for the non-help but I have searched for over 3 hours on this site and many others. The threads are 2013 & 2014 in case you are wondering it is 5-15 and nothing new on this for 5 or 6 months.
Anybody out there who can actually help please respond. anybody with search button directions stfu.

did you try frameroot?
I'm not sure why non of the guides work for you. I used the root tool in ouyas own store the other day on an ouya my friend didn't want anymore and it worked fine.

Like a couple years ago when I rooted my first ouya I used fastboot and cwm. But I'm pretty sure there was an all in one ouya adb tool that would did everything you could possible need root cwm Roms backups I will have to take a look when I get home but I have the apk on a backup drive somewhere. I will try to find it for you.

Thanks, after much pounding around I got it rooted. Could not get the google apps working but no big deal.
So for those looking----it is still possible as of June 2015

Correct. I did it last night with a mix of Kingroot (older version, the new stops working at 18%) and the updated xposed and playstore zip file.
If anyone needs, and if it's allowed, I will post the files later.
I had my ouya rooted, collecting dust.. Then decided to flash an AOSP rom, and bricked it.. Looked and found this video,I achieve root, boot menu , cm11 with this video . http://youtu.be/fYwZ_l31-G8 , beware.. Strange sounds in the background ... ?
