EDIT: WHEN THE SCREEN TURNS OFF, THE CALL MUTES, APPARENTLY ONE WORK AROUND (did not work for me) TAKEN FROM THE ORIGINAL THREAD IS ....

I am using jb Toldo v5.1 ,on A1 v2.0 kernel With
Voice_Call_Enable__Stock__ICS_4.0.4_ROM_Build_1.zip
1st install it is very good sound never mute during call even screen off, but after I did config in call settings. all call audio mute during screen off.
2ndly I reflash zip again my tab can make call without mute during screen off again.
So, all you guys , please do this
1. Don't do call settings in phone menu.
2. If you audio gone during screen off, reflash zip file.

The work around I used, was
1. installing an app called 'Screen On by Konstantinos Polychronis'
2. kept screen on for "an active call' and "PhoneUtil'.
It seems to work fine for me
ALL CREDIT GOES TO almaqdad, I have done nothing to this mod
I've used this mod with [ROM][ICS][P7300] P7500XXLQ8_P7500OXALQ8 clean port v2 by kallt_kaffe. Works perfectly and it seems to work for others on this ROM too.
I'm using cmw 6.0.1.0.
I have not tested this MOD with AOKP. So do at your own risk.
Heres the link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1875024
Basically follow the steps given in the link.... For example, the one I followed was...
For [ROMs based Samsung Stock ICS 4.0.4 Deodex OR Odex]
1- Reboot to Recovery Mode.
2- Make a Full Backup. [Recommend]
3- Install File CWM_I9103XXLQ3_Modem.zip
4- Install File Voice Call Enable [Stock] ICS 4.0.4 ROM Build 1.zip
5- Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache.
6- Reboot the tab and enjoy voice call.

don't flash on CM10 preview,
i just flash and can't boot :crying:

Thanks for testing...I'll be sure to remove it for CM10

Works perfectly on ported rom by kallt_kaffe (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1835031) and kernel by AAccount.
Respect !

Does bluetooth headset work?

I tried and also tried Internet Calls and works perfect with my VOIP provider

I flashed on CM10, did both wipes and it didn't boot. Then reflashed the same rom without any wipes. I can make phone calls but no 3G network, only 2G.

if the screen is off,the voice sound cannot hear each other.
i wonder if there is somwhere to set at the dial pad?

Is it possible that I flash these into a P7310 ICS stock ROM to enable both 3G connection and voice call? I am using a P7300 with P7310 STOCK ICS ROM by the way....

This seems to be a bug in this implementation, the same as the problem with bluetooth headset that the audio doesnt work either

maybe the solution to some bugs
The n8500 rom is out and it has implemented full phone capabilities. I dont know how to decompile it and use some of that funcionality into p7300.
Does any developer look into it dialer and blutooth libraries?
Thanks

everyting fine and work until screen is off
hope the devs can fix it
thank you so much

i hink, the screen off affects the voice ,it may be someting wrong with the proximity.
our tab has no proximity anymore.it has only light sensor..i guess.
i can see one or two check boxs at the dial setting concern with the proximity.

You can fairly easily enable calls for your own ROM. Presumably CM10 as well.
Decompile your /system/framework/framework-res.apk by using apktool. Find the /framework-res/res/values/bool.xml inside the decompiled folder, and edit it with Notepad++ to avoid encoding failure. Edit the line that says "voice capable" and change it to true.
Recompile the package with apktool b framework-res. Extract the resources.arsc file from the newly built .apk.
Place the resources.arsc file in your original framework-res.apk, replacing the one inside.
Push framework-res.apk to /system/framework.
Ensure you have the Galaxy R I9103 modem.bin installed.
Reboot and you should be done.
Keep a copy of your original framework-res.apk in case the system doesn't boot past the boot logo. Or have a nandroid backup and do advanced restore/system from within CWM.

Does 3G work in CM9 and other ICS roms or do they have also only 2G? If only 2G, then on CM10 you can flash only modem and it should work because I can make calls using only 2G

[ROM][JB 4.1.1] Monfro Aosp 23.09.2012 (extremely smooth)

MONFRO AOSP

This is a pure AOSP rom: it has no extra features so it can be snappy and smooth at maximum level.
Indeed the goal of this rom is to be as fast as possible.
- CM10 partition layout (422mb for data)
- Devil Kernel 1.4.1 VC (new kernels with new CM vsync available as addon)
- Devil Kernel Config included (and a init.d script generated with this program, to have everything set up stable at the beginning. If you set bigmem, before reboot remember to set 480 in videocamera settings, otherwise camera app will crash with bigmem). I suggest to install also NSTools, to have more overclocking and BLN options.
- GAPPS (updated to latest) are included
- I SUGGEST A FULL WIPE BEFORE INSTALLING THIS ROM, because added features from CM10, Helly Bean, AOKP and other roms can conflict with pure AOSP settings and functions

I have to say thank you, because your Lanight rom showed me how fast AOSP roms are, as you can see from my enthusiastic comment of 20.09.2012.
But on Lanight 4.0 there were some glitches, for this reason i decided to work on an AOSP rom. I see that you worked to fix Lanight while i was working here: if i would have seen your new rom build, probably i wouldn't have worked on my AOSP.

Message app is from CM: it works better than AOSP one.
AOSP message let you enter messages only of 160 letters, for this reason i decided to substitute it with CM one.
cant get radio working.....
Wifi and signal are not opening. Looked around but didnt see any other radios available? Am i looking in the wrong place? (in this forum) Other than that the rom looks great, but until I can get my wifi working i cant get a full picture of what this rom will be like... I am going to do some more reading. had this problem before, but flashed a radio and everything was good. Now I cant seem to find one. Call me an idiot if you will, just need some direction on where to go from here. The website i used last time has radios for ics but not JB.
Also shell was not given SU permissions. Bad flash maybe?

This rom uses the same layout as CM10: 422mb on fastest nand for data and the rest (slow nand) for system.
I am sorry you can't try this rom. I have read here and there about people with broken internal SD but i didn't entered in details.

I've been on xda long enough, but I'm drawing a blank at the moment. If my WiFi isn't turning on, would changing the modem affect that?
My Captivate has been relegated to my backup device, almost always used on WiFi.
From what I've played with on this rom, I like it a lot. Keep up the great work!
I have had similar issues with other JB AOSP roms with CM10 base. If I understand it correctly, it is due to the datadata partition that is included with this base (data partition table messes up the Kernel or something). To my knowledge there is no work around for this. Some of the AOSP roms here (LANIGHT for example) have a nodatadata version which solves the problem.
Hope this helps!

So the problem comes from the Bluetooth kill function in devil kernel, which kills also wifi.
I suggest to disable devil idle and deep idle and to leave "enable Bluetooth " in devil kernel config app.

Hey Monfro, how is going the battery life so far ?

Shendu4.1 on u8800-51

Since many users have been asking, here's the guide
This has Extremely Slow WiFi appears to be download manager.
Not sure if 3g works. Maybe restore imei?
A portion of this guide is based on this
0. Always do emmc backup. Go to Backing UP Working u8800-51 section
1. Follow the guide from Stock Froyo to Custom GB to the end of Updated GB to Aurora ICS
If on official my official GB start from Custom GB to Updated GB
2. Download Ice Pika v5 from this link (final will not work, you need to flash this to get working imei and network) http://db.tt/IdHhqUJI
and ShenDu OS (working WiFi) http://db.tt/UKHcfMqn
3. Must be on Aurora ICS after Updated GB to Aurora ICS Make a backup of data in titanium backup and backup via CWM recovery
4. Format Data/Cache NOT SYSTEM
5 Install Ice Pika. Reboot and you should see a start up wizard. You can stay here if you want IcePika. No WiFi though.
6 Reboot into recovery format data and install Shendu. Only format data and cache.
7. Change the language at the begining to english. WiFi turns on with some trickery.
8. Download cm10 by Ivan flash it.
9.Download Shendu 4.1 and flash
10. (Recommended) Hit Thanks!

[Q] A question regarding 4.2.2 upgrade and native dialer

I have enabled native dialer by modifying framework-res.apk in my Nexus 7 3G with JB 4.2.1.
Now my question is, will the native dialer stay if i upgrade to 4.2.2? Did anybody try? Pls share. Thanks a lot.
Are you on a custom ROM?
No, I simply downloaded a dialer-enabled framework-res in this forum and replaced the original one.
btw, is there any place to download dialer-enabled 4.2.2 framework? I had trouble doing this myself
thanks in advance!
Can you post up your framework-res? I will make the small edit for you. As I understand it, it is just a bool edit "<bool name="config_voice_capable">false</bool>", where you change false to true.

Hi hlxanthus,
Attached is the framework-res.apk from 4.2.2. Really appreciate if you can help!
Thank you!
Here are some flashable packages, that will work for you within twrp or cwm recoveries. If you would rather you can just crack them open to pull the apk out. One has the one I modded and the other is the original you posted up. Please know that this will ONLY work with the rom you pulled the framework-res from. So if this is a stock apk, then that is all you can use this with.
Please note, that while this should give you access to the dialer, it will not magically enable phone calls on your device (that I know of atleast, let me know if I am wrong LOL). You will still have to use a VoIP service like GrooveIP for example to route said phone calls thru your wifi and 3G radios.

I clicked the system update button and reboot....
But it didn't update successfully and stopped in the middle of the upgrade.
I was asked to reboot and I am still in 4.2.1.
Any idea why? The whole process took only a minute or so.
Is it because mine was rooted?

Thanks i will consider that, although i am a little skeptic about a rom developed in China, you know. You never know.I mean for the code in it , so the best variant is stock rom , which is the google`s one.I found the stock rooted image of 4.2.1 now i can do voice calls , and when i am done, the phone automatically returns to lte - if the signal is better than h+.Not sure for the last one though.Could you give me a link to test that Mui after all I purchased my phhone two days ago and stil can`t able to navigate tru the devolopments threads , way too many.

What CM10.1 rom are you using? Many of the CM10.1 roms already have the necessary files and tweaks for LTE to work. Try making calls without flashing the lte enabler. If that doesn't work you can try editing the file for the tmobile sound fix manually. Here's the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2233319

You can try flashing my zip below - its one I did for cm7 ages ago however I don't know if it works on stock roms
If not just replace the sensor files with the ones from stock rom
Flash this in cwm with system mounted

Also someone else posted another possible solution a few posts above yours - did you try it or have you even read it?
Thank you...

Did you flashed the new build (#2)?
FM Radio is not working in #1 but it is already fixed and implemented in build #2.
Great!
This is a killer ROM
Can you add digital clock widget and s5 wheater clock? There is analog clock only
The S5 lockscreen effect is not same like as the original one hehehe....
And also add swipe to remove and kill task in multitasking
And please add soft key feature like nexus and cm for galaxy y
Emergency Calls Only
I flashed the ROM but when I turned on the phone, there was no connection. Also wi-fi does not work. So I restored the previous ROM (MIUI). What can the problem be? Would you help me please?

sounds like you are using the wrong kernel - use a stock based kernel and make sure you are using the correct ril file for your baseband kernel combination
