Good video editing app? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was wondering if there is any good video editing apps for the N7, I looked in the playstore and haven't found anything comparable to iMovie from apple. Is there any video editors that could be ported from the galaxy tab or HTC flyer. Thanks in advance.

Anybody? I found a video editor from the xoom but I believe the dpi is messed up or something. Can anybody get this to work better or have any suggestions?

Is community-added DivX support possible?

Hi all,
So, I'm trying to establish whether it is possible for the community to add DivX support. I see commits like these:
https://www.codeaurora.org/gitweb/q...it;h=69023cf85787ff454ce0549f532f9aecfad2ae29
https://www.codeaurora.org/gitweb/q...it;h=208bf6e29780fd15bfd0f6d6575a26ae78591378
that add at least the start of DivX support. But I haven't been able to get it to build, and even then, it's not clear to me if things like a DSP firmware image or something else (presumably proprietary) is required.
Any insights?
Edit: this was originally posted in the Development section, as it is a development question, but it has been moved to General. There is no question that many people would like Divx and other codec support. This thread was supposed to be specifically about getting Divx support in OpenMax/mm-video working.

Using a program from the market I was able to watch a 720 MKV on my nexus the picture was fine and sound was fine.
Only issue was video was delayed while sound went full speed, other then this it was awesome looking.

Re: DivX support
i don't know what app the other guy is thinking about, but you can find in the market "yxplayer" (trial) and with it you can play at least videos like avi etc etc kn your N1. i think it wilk be hard to find a full free app for that goal. if you find, post here the name please.

Youtube HD

No youtube HD apparently.

"One painful omission is YouTube HQ, which Sprint made such a big deal about when they introduced the EVO. On the Epic, the YouTube app is unwatchable; it's a hideous mush of blocky compression. I don't understand why Sprint didn't give the Epic the same sharp YouTube video quality that the EVO has."
Port please?

You can click menu and watch in high quality, problem solved.

FYI: that android link goes to the post with a direct download to an .apk file that replaces your current youtube with the requested youtube hq. you still need to select high quality but it comes in the form of a button directly on the screen rather than going into the menu. worked like a champ and worth the quick fix.
Thank you for the YoutubeHD link! I was missing this version from Froyo! Much easier for the button to be on screen rather than hidden in the menu.
Thanks for the link!

Great, I switched to the youtube HQ app and now playback stutters in HQ mode. The old app played HQ much smoother. I was only looking to have the HQ setting be permanent, but I'd rather deal with having to set it manually than the crap I'm getting now
edit: nm, seems to have fixed itself! That always happens after I ask in public how to fix something..
double edit: or rather, it seems to be one video in particular that plays stuttery.. oh well, whatever..
Does this app work for a non-rooted Epic?

Help transform videooutput2videoinput for broadcasting

Hi,
I've an idea for our Sgs.
I work for a little video-production company and i know that some cameras (for example Sony trv-800) have video output and not video input. Some hacker have studied firmware and hacked it and then have enabled video input. Now they can record video with the camera.
If it's possible to enable video input in the sgs will be a real revolution.
For example we can use it to watch or record from source like dvd player.
But the real revolution is for broadcasting.
You know that there are some sw in the market like ustream broadcaster, justin.tv broadcaster, qik video.,etc. But they work only with internal camera.
So I hope That with this mod we can broadcasting from external sources with sgs.
What do you think about it?
(Sorry for my english)

S-note to mp4? or Youtube?

Hey guys!
I really like the galaxy note 10.1. I think it is the best device so far even though nexus 10 is out now.
However, I am wondering if anyone is capable of program to export s-note to mp4.
I am talking about the sketch recording. It is useful but it would be awesome if I can export it to mp4 format.
The reason why I am asking is that I want to make math tutorials using galaxy note 10.1 but screen recording apps on the market suck, and
there is no way for me to record the screen since I rooted my device, if I press power button + volume up, it will restart my device. Also, the resolution of the recording is not good as well.
I wish I can have a video file as good resolution as s-note sketch recording.
If anyone has any idea how to record tutorials on the galaxy note 10.1, please let me know.
Thanks!
