ok so i've heard people here and i just wanna tell all of you that this thread was started with a completely different objective.. And became a battle ground..
let me clarify you one thing that i am thanking all the people i can remember.. Ofcource omegared and playgunsta has not done something like j, z etc but still they proved to be very helpful{to me atleast}... Great developers like j, z, trip dont have enough time to solve each and every probems of people.. So people like these offer/suggest mods in the rom..
even if they cant be called a developer, atleast we can give them a status of a c0-developer. They are worthy of it.. They had provided their time to help/mod/solve problems in the roms of developers... Lets face it.. At any day they can rectify the problem faster than we can...
atleast respect them for their contribution.. I serously have a respect for them.. Cause they can do what i cant even imagine.. Be thankful to them ... Atleast because of this co-developers the speed of development increases..
just have a look at sony ericsson forms.. There isint a reply for problems for months, and when they reply they always disappoint us.. Because of these people the problems are rectified quickly

You people disgust me.
XDA-Developers is about discussing mobile devices and expanding their capabilities and the like. Instead, every second thread is full of arguments and useless jargon that does not benefit anyone.
This thread was about thanking the many hard-working developers for their work and about discussing where we would be without them. I for one completly regretted my decision to buy an outdated, slow and laggy phone. This was until I found this website. I thank the devs for turning our underwhelming phones into super fast, super funcional super phones.
Yes, PlayGunsta may not be strictly classified as a "dev", but he may have been helpful to the original poster and he or she might have felt the need to thank PlayGunsta. If this has offended you for some reason, a PM to the original poster would have cleared up the seemingly unimportant matter almost instantly without any hassle.
That being said, if everyone had ignored the one post that hi-jacked this thread, there wouldn't be 9 pages of flaming wasting precious bandwidth to sift through to try and dins useful information.
In summery, If you don't have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all.

I think some members need some vacations to vent thereselves since they only create arguments and controversy.

I totally agree. This community became already a FLAMMING ZONE.
70% are just flamming post only 30% are just useful. At the end of the year people mess this community up.

The best thing we can do is to report troll comments on the forums so that the mods and adms can delete the replys and make this place a more peaceful one, and with some luck, the devs will encourage to continue developing X8!

FXP never leave us,,look at they github,they still update they project for x8.
maybe our "true" devs just silent,and we know 'why' they keep silent.
and look at development thread,to much rom with no dev there,just theming and change launcher people make new thread ^_^ . i'm not say DONT,but we must think; what we have done to post in "DEVELOPMENT"?

The X8 community isn't what it used to be anymore. Our forums are slowly decaying. At the time I signed up, there was a flame of so much interest and willingness to help others. Truthfully, I can't see that flame anymore. This place has been filled up with trolls and many useless post. I myself, was eager to learn and help others when I was able to but I'm not that active anymore. I have grown tired of this

true,am afraid soon thd community will run out of devs too,if this kinda negative atmosophere goes on,

I don't like long goodbyes but I need to tell all before I leave all of you most...

So here we go. My development is over - I'm done with it and want to tell you something about me before I leave (of course I will be here, but only sometimes and won't make any more projects). Why I need to end this all? This is a question. I told that on my DX8 thread on X10 development section - my hands have Carpal Tunnely Syndrome and I fighting with this for about few month or so. Now it's pretty nice, I'm holding myself and pain is not so bad and not hurting me everyday (only sometimes).
But what can I say about myself? It's very hard, but I will try to tell you everything I remember best:
I've started my adventure with Android after I bought Xperia X10 something like ~2 years ago. It was very nice choose and I started to learn some "noob-edits" like deleting officiall 2.1 apps (after I update it from 1.6) to make my X10 faster. Never heard about XDA yet. Then I started to write some first posts on my blog (which is old and closed already for months). I posted there my opinion about X10, my first news of Xperia family, and more. Then I get proposition from one forum to be VIP there. Now, heh, it's my forum . I worked there about Gameloft games etc. to make X10 better (won't tell where etc. cause on XDA it's not allowed - let's tell that my past is not "clean" - it's warez and hackers job yeah. Then I was asked to make some first steps on XDA, writing threads, make myself more international etc. Like you see - it was nice idea . But let's go back. After I close my blog I need to sell my first X10, but one of the best guys here, and very polite and fair friend, mohibb bought me one X10, to make my back-to-job possible. Then I back with some DiXperia for X10 users, can't remember which one. The development on XDA and my forum growed more and more, YT channel too, and my blog was already closed....And then, some time after I bought Xperia Play, and started to play with Play . Made DiXperia number first, then DiXperia 2, which is my last project in Android developping. Now, because of hands problem, I need to end this all and I think you respect my decision and you're happy to use (or used before) any of my ROM, and your device was better at least than Stock ROMs . All last threads like DX8 for X10 and DX2 for Play are complete in 10000% and I think the best fans or polite guys here will help all new persons here, with some bugs or anything else - I'm counting on you guys, cause I will be here only for free-talking about spam-features D), not for development or some new updates. And please don't ask if I will ever back - I think I won't. I have now my private life problems (girl, which I'm falling in love, arguing with me and it's all over...), school starts yesterday, I have much more things to do. be careful about that!

I still remember well,your rom dixperia 7 was the first custom rom I used. That started my craze to flash almost every single rom available,because of dixperia 7 my love for the x10 grew.,when I almost gave up on it.
Dikej,your one of the best developers the x10 ever had,and its sad to see you end development but I understand. ,personal life and health is far much more important.

I came to x10 one year ago and to xda and dikeJ about two months ago (when you released dixperia 8)
my first one was dixperia 7, dixperia 8 Sb and lots of others.... noone reached yours... now on dixperia 8 Sstyle and im simply lovin it.
Buddy im sad that you leave but 17 isnt too much to start a real life without all the programmin things... cause in the end its just a phone, so I hope that you can look forward without tears and also look back without.

I always nice to read which person lives behind 'the developer'.
Altough I never used one of your ROMs, i always read something good about them.
Even that I wasn't a DXperia-user (during DXperia 6, I was on Trips ROM), you've given me a great x10. Why, you ask?
Because you were developing at a high level, other developers were also working at high level. So therefor: every ROM became great ROM. It's because developers learned from each other and helped each other. So there was a benefit for me
Ofcourse, real life is more important. So i wish you all the best.

The Arc/S Community

Its been fun on Arc/S Community on XDA
Cheers to all Arc/S users. The Sexiest Device we ever had. Sleek Design, Handy and Handful device for a Mid Range its pretty Cool.
Upon using the Phone for few months I am still love this other mid range phone out there.
Checking every 5 hrs on XDA and spending many time reading the Arc/s thread. I did developed a ROM though I discontinued it coz of some Annoying dev's out there who don't want any competition about the roms. I mean the site was intended for us to Share and Experiment with our handset. The only thing worked out is my Swap Thread and I really have good time with it and a company notice me then proposed to Buy my developing Swapler app and I give thanks all to XDA forum. I truly appreciate the Motive of setting this forum up and the Moderators on Arc/S are very nice to the users.
Before I leave the Arc/S community I will just make Roms for my Fellow Filipino mates with Chaos. I was still wanting to develop good roms here. I was planing to Tandem with Chaos to make such good roms for Arc/s. But I guess some troll will be Intimidating our Release and again Fire will spark over and over again so I got sick of these (Kid/Infant Attitude) as I guess Iridaki will Agree with me.
I will post my Creations on Android Section from this point. I will make with add Swapler and realease for free but its still on Approval.
Its been fun. I hope moderators will automatically delete Irrelevant topic of Troll here. Hammer theme with Chuck Norris :victory:

Even though I don't know much about your work or your support for the Arc / Arc S, it's sad to see guys leaving thanks to a bunch of morons that's envy on other guys quality work. Yes, your SWAP application is joy and quality (at the same time) that has saved me a lot of times when struggling to make ICS worth my time, and to avoid making this too fanboyish - I wish u all luck with whatever you now are going to do!

Welcome guys once again . I don't want make this thread super brilliant and stylish, it's just for me and you to notice, how's projects going. As you should know (hopefully), I'm back with 3 projects for Xperia Play (and X10 too), so 6 projects at all is not easy way, so I need some place to make everything clear and most important. This thread have this destiny. Don't forget it's not a help thread, they will appear in the right time, when every project will be ready to put on XDA. Thanks for understand and being with me even if I was too quiet too long, but my justification is more projects in one time ^^. See you all, and have a nice day!

Xperia Play:
1) DiXperia 3 "Enormous" - Just like 1 and 2, it will be friendly for users and gamers - just for everything, Play can handle those two destinations together in one piece . Expect newest Sony framework, with good free RAM, fast ecosystem and good scripts .
2) DiXperia "Perennial" - New project in this community, it will be made for hardcore gamers, with pretty (for now just plans) look of topic, to give you feel you're really using something different . As we know, GB is the best system for games on XPlay, so it will stay in this project too, with tons of adjustments .
3) DiXperia "Energizer" - The next one new one . It will be a fresh made by me, cause on Play I was always on GB. Now, with Energizer, it will change. JB on the base, with those part of community, who don't care much much MUCH about games (it doesn't mean they don't play at all) but they just want new ROM with new things/ports and of course stability and performance - my priority all the time .
It's a short review of non-exist projects for now, but soon I will start working on all of them, of course I will need help if anyone want to give me a hand . I can say, some things could change in the future, but it's unnecessary in my opinion - all projects seems to have good destiny for itself, and everyone should find something for himself/herself ^^.
Feel free guys/girls to ask a questions, so I can answer it as soon as possible . Thank you for your waiting, and wait once again, maybe longer! 6 projects, with my personal life, school, sleep (crazy!), sports, family etc. will be hard but....If I say something - I always keep one's word . Cheers guys!

Also, don't forget this this is NOT helpful, but it doesn't mean you can't give some advices for me, to apply some things for projects .
And one more, most important - I will need some guys to help:
- 3 persons to make help thread for each ROM (or maybe one person, but I don't know if he/she will hold 3 threads ). [GOT 2]
- Some graphics/visual buddies to help me with ROM styles and threads look-like. [NO NEED ANYMORE!]
- Stable and certain testers (3 to 6) [NO NEED ANYMORE!]
- Kernel Developer for DXEngine Environment [NO NEED ANYMORE!]
- If you think you are ideal person to help me in anything, like making me coffe or sandwiches, write here some clever idea .
No big news about ROMs for now, but next weekend I will try to collect sources for DX3 .

i can be your tester i don't have any problem when you need testers(maybe im on vacation when you need testers.the time is unknown)
update:i flashed all the gb roms in our forum and also i was tester of a rom about 1 moth a go. i know my job

Pizza_Dox, my hands are much better, but it's just result of not developping for a long time, also not typing much on keyboard. And good rehabilitation, should make me resistant for future work, I know how to avoid pain etc.. Thanks for asking buddy ^^.

3 persons to make help thread for each ROM
i can help you in this..dont know if i can handle 3 threads at same time..but i can take care of one at least,coz i have 2 of my one..MIUI gamer edition (GB) and MIUIv5(JB).

I want around when you were here I'm the beginning but I'm glad to see your better. I can help test for sure if you need anymore. Im on an r800x so I won't be able to test service bit that will probably work well anyway since its based on stock ( I think). I can test games and smoothness and other uses. Also I might be able help with one of the threads but not sure yet and device I don't have the gsm version it might not be the best idea

Jesus, guys, I'm limited to 8 thanks per day, so can't click on newer post . But be sure I'm preety amazed and excited about your willingness for help . Let's just say, for now I have enough testers, so no need to ask for it.
myk69, I've heard that some Neo L ROMs appear on Play, after some edits - I'm sure official version of my projects won't boot on your device, but some Dev with Neo L will know what to do to make it . I'm glad not only Play users want DiXperias .

Just for curiosity, do you need testers for each rom or like 3 PER ROM ? I'm curios, i see a point in both, like the ability to compare them while in testing, like "This rom is lacking this feature which the other ROM has" something like that
