Yes, DPI to 175.
But after I restore back to 213 still same issue?
How to fully restore it?

Take the original file you saved in a safe place before editing it and put it back.

I don't have it. I edit using ROm toolbox.
So how? The only value I change is the DPI.
Already set it back but no change.
Factory reset will restore build prop?

Set your build prop back to original. Then force stop and clear data for both market.apk and Google services framework. Then restart.

thank you very much, it works. i am able to install those tegra 3 apps now.
wonder after i install and switch back to tablet mode will it work again.
i dont like the phone UI at all.

Swap back to tablet ui
The market is good now. I can install tegra 3 games.
I think this issue started after I flash the battery icon mod. After doing the wipe data for play store and Google service, all is well. Thanks every one for replying

Noob here, rooted yesterday, same thing happened

Ohh, I was thinking of freezing that one, best leave it then lol
Why would you remove such an important app?
You need that filter to get proper Play optimized games.
If you've enabled setinstalllocation2 you're going to have to revert to setinstalllocation0, reboot, reinstall. Only way to get it back on as sys.
Then you can go back to setinstalllocation 2

market rant - No more facebook!

Okay, I was going to complain before, but held off. No longer.
It's stupid that the market totally blocks programs that it "thinks" you can't run.
Right now facebook, which I've been running perfectly fine for months, is now marked incompatible with the note.
But a big warning/disclaimer if you have to. But totally block?
It's just plain annoying, especially for apps which 99% work.
1/21 edit: it was my modified dpi

Same with google voice search which I have on the phone already but themarket seems to think I don't have it installed and when I try to instal latest version from market it tells me not compatible with my device and can't download it.

No such problem for me. Just to sure I uninstalled Facebook, rebooted, and reinstalled from the Market.
What happens if you try and install from market.android.com? Does it show as being incompatible?

yea. can't see it at all in the market on my phone. on website it says my mytouch4g is compatible. and not my note.
strange how it works for you - perhaps its regional? I haven't actually looked for the app in the market for ages. many roms ago, hah.
i found that reverting to stock dpi, 320, fixes this problem. i think its uncompatible if u set u to non standard dpi values.
im pretty sure thats how i fixed mine.

working fine
240dpi works instead of 320dpi, can't do something like say 284dpi however, not only will you find you can't install some new apps, but i found some apps mysteriously uninstalled themselves from my phone when i set my note to non standard dpis
Mine even more horrible.
Cant install google wallet from android market.
It says incompatible with my sgn.
So I cant register my credit card
Cant buy any paid apps.
Anyone has same problem?

[Q] Not seeing installed apps in market

After restoring my apps with titanium I don't see any apps at all in the my apps section in the market. Although when I search for an app it says installed. I tried installing another app from the market but it didn't help. Then I tried doing the market doctor thing in titanium but it didn't help either. I then tried to clear market cache which was impossible to do from manage applications (because of a bug that shows 0.0b for cache and clear cache is greyed out) so I cleared cache partition in cwm but that didn't help either! What do I do to see my installed apps again?? Help!!

I been having that same issue. I have 70 apps and only 2 show in the market "my app" section. I been trying to figure out how to fix this as well.

Wrong section....
Stop using titanium backup and restore only what you can no longer attain from the market .... its always the best idea to fresh install your apps which is a pain but for the sake of cleanliness
Also when you do this you'll end up with a lot less apps because the ones you remember are the ones you Actually use

I had this happen after a fresh install, after a short while all was back to normal on its own. Try a reboot.
Actually I think I cleared cache on gmail which required me to sign in again and I beleive all was normal after resigning into gmail.

Last I heard Roam Control was no longer available through the market.
I've had it happen for both paid and unpaid. Usually I just wait until the app has an update and then it'll appear. I will sometimes use Titanium to resurrect apps that have left the Market, such as ShootMe, Roam Control, etc.

You are correct, it's available at www.roamctrl.com now. Just wanted to let you know in case you were trying to download it somewhere.
i have the same issue with the market after using titanium... no apps show up in my apps, but all of them show up as installed. the only way i have found that works to find updates for them without searching all of them is to use appbrain, and that will find updates for them. except roam control of course, but it lets you update it thru the app now. by the way MrGreg, i love roam control. it was the first app i paid for and was the only app i bought for a long time lol

Play store issues due to DPI settings?

First post here, been a long time trawler.
I unlocked and rooted my Nexus 7, and followed that up with changing my DPI setting so I get tablet ui mode instead of the default phone mode. However every time I try to get an app from the play store, it tells me my device is not supported. To bypass this I've been backing up the apps from my Nexus S and sending them to myself for manual installation. Any fixes for this?
Please and thanks.

I think you have to have a native DPI, like 120, 160, 220, or 320. Anything else might cause issues, but I don't know exactly.
Thanks for the tip. The guide I was following said any number under 175DPI would work, so I just picked 174 for testing sake. It worked so I didn't think twice. Changed to 160 and this seemed to do the trick.

How about putting the DPI where its supposed to be and applying the "Tablet UI mode no DPI change" patch.

- Does the patch work with every ROM and kernel available?
- What's the DPI supposed to be at?
- Does simply altering the DPI to a number like 160 cause any harm?
I'm not sure where this patch is listed, but I'm running stock jelly bean. This something someone on xda wrote?

DPI is supposed to be @ 213
[PATCH] True Tablet UI (Apps+GUI) w/o DPI Change - 8/1 Alpha 3 Released
I think i have a fix for you.
I have been working on this for some time and i found out that if you change the DPI yes it will mess with your compatibility. What I did to fix this was i went in and uninstalled the system app for play store but left the play store service. I did this using System tuner but im sure you can do it with titanium backup. I rebooted my tablet and the play store reinstalled i did clear all data for the play store and it was working on its own with fixed compatibility. All apps that lost compatibility like OnLive and nVision work like a charm.
Just an FYI im using DPI of 160 (modified using the build.prop method.), but im sure you can use 170 too.
Just in case you need it there is this post with a modded play store.
[MOD] [PATCH] Google Play Store 3.8.15 + [DPI] patched versions

Are you using google launcher experience? if yes, probabily you will have to disable it and install another one. Another thing you should do is go in location services and turn all off, this should solve your problem.

This problem has not occurred after the 4.4.2 update. But then anyways reset my phone and installed everything back again. Since then, I haven't had this problem. Using Google experience launcher v10.

I'm kind of keeping factory reset as a last resort.Because if I'm going to lose my data I might as well root at that point. And I even Tried updatding to 4.2.2 with the updates of Google search Uninstalled but it didn't work for me.. The drain is too much for me
Even reported it to Google. It's messed up how they let this pass because I've searched a lot and this issue is faced by many people and they have no solution but to Force stop the app or turn off Google Now
Edit:BTW Thanks both of you for replying so quickly
