Samsung Open Source Code for GT-P7510 ICS - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

I think that Samsung posted the open source code for ICS on http://opensource.samsung.com. There is a zip file there marked as Update2 for ICS related to GT-P7510. Is this the source code required for the front camera to work?

Strewth..........

It does contain the 3.1 kernel source code used by the recent official ICS firmware! So, this is the missing code required to have a complete CM9 firmware with full camera support for the tablet. It was posted on the 10th of August. I guess the developers will be all over it!

(deep inhale...) Mmmmm, I smell cookies & beans & jelly & ice cream with a lotta Cyan spice thrown in!!
Is something burning or is it the porn burning up the screen over there?? It's both! :silly:

1. This is not a Dev thread, nothing is being Developed here - therefore it should've been posted in the General section.
2. There are already a number of pre-existing threads on exactly this subject, so any further discussion should be continued in one of them.

Credit:
Moto for finally unlocking bootloader, thanks
Google and Motorola for making a good base.
Cyanogen for code for enhancements.
LorDModUE for current kernel on Inspire 4G ROM.
What is AOSP+?
ROM was compiled using AOSP code with a few CM modifications built in to code. Reboot, Profiles and couple of other CM enhancements are used. Other than the CM enhancements ROM is pure AOSP 2.3.4 GB source.
What needs to get done before release:
Work out some major bugs on Fission Atrix ROM :-D
Compile my own enhanced kernel
Incorporate a couple of more CM enhancements. Lockscreen settings into AOSP settings app.
If you would like to help beta test ROM then please leave private message on this forum. Please allow me a few days to get back to you. Lots of work needs to be done on a few different devices :-D
Thanks!
More info and vid will come as ROM gets closer to release.
This ROM will be ported as a modified version to DX and D2. D2G too if 2nd int is working on it.

I9100XXLPB New Samsung Galaxy S II Android 4.0 ICS update build leaked

More and more official Ice Cream Sandwich update builds for Samsung Galaxy S II are appearing every week. The latest one to reach Sammobile.com packs some UI changes as well as battery performance improvement over the previous builds. It is also said to be decent enough for daily use.
Flashing this is not recommended for everyone. Unless you know, how to flash Gingerbread back on Galaxy S2, don’t install this ICS update build.
Build Details:
I9100XXLPB, based on Android 4.0.3
A new firmware for the Galaxy S II is online.
This firmware based on Android 4.0.3 and got some new things.
This rom is still in beta/alpha fase but this one is looking really stable!
We of SamMobile can say: This rom is ready for daily use.
Samsung planned Galaxy S 2 updates in March
Some information about the firmware:
The firmware name is I9100XXLPB.
The date of build is January 29.
So only 4 days old!
We compared this rom with the latest ICS rom (I9100XXLP6)
Check below for all information plus some pictures and a small movie.
If you want to download this rom go to www.SamMobile.com/firmware
If you want to talk about this rom check this TOPIC!
Changes we found so far…
Interface: Kind of 3D effect when scrolling.
Battery: Lots better than early ones.
Faster: Feels the same as LP6
Touch: Same as LP6.
Overall: Better score in our eyes than LP6 .
Facelock: Same as LP6 working fine.
Task: Same as version LP6.

looks very similar to WIUI that xboxfan was trying to port for us .... maybe this one is easier to port
We already have a wiui port although it still isn't ready for to be used as a dd. When I am completly done with 2.3.9 I will take another look at it.

COOL ! :fingers-crossed:
Both are failing at the same error, but they're bootlooping, so I can see their boot animations (well, Meizu didn't make one apparently, so I just put the CM one in there).
Think I know how to fix those. Just need to reroot and add recovery and flash when I get home.

I can't wait to try out Neutrino

If I'm not mistaken, Burnsra is building the NS4G version, and may be working with Salas to test this build. In any case, the aforementioned image means that they've got it booting, if not working. I was looking for the build he's showing there in the image, but apparently he hasn't leaked the experimental version yet, so we wait.
Remember, every time someone asks for an ETA, a developer ragequits and abandons a ROM. Think of the ROMs, people.

you have to adapt the device tree for PA. take a look at the nexus4 repo for PA.
How to do that
Sent from my MI 2S using Tapatalk
well, just take a look the mako repos:
https://github.com/AOSPA/android_device_lge_mako
Also I can't see any CAF repos on their github so you probably will have a hard time getting audio, camera, etc working.
EDIT: if you use AOSPA-legacy you won't have the hardware problems but u still need to adapt the code.
I ported it for you: https://github.com/M1cha/android_device_xiaomi_aries/tree/pa-4.4
Is PA closed source or sth.? because this ROM looks like AOSP except for a few features.
Thx
Sent from my MI 2S using Tapatalk
thx very much i started the compiling and the error did not appear thx for your help, and for your patience
I try to make it official: https://github.com/AOSPA-legacy/android_vendor_pa/pull/66
new error
now this error appeared
don't worry. sometimes PA isn't compilable(they don't have nightlies)
pick this: https://github.com/PAC-man/android_frameworks_base/commit/136af47161127f8e7260d109f11887b6a4d45804
and revert this: https://github.com/AOSPA-legacy/and...mmit/f465011409467773ed7c008aed83e9ddf8ca9445
This is the best news for Mi2s, sadly I don't have my Mi2s anymore.

just resync and try again. it should work now.
Also mi2 got merged into official PA repos and we'll receive nightlies soon.

you should never ever edit roomservice because this file is autogenerated.
Just follow the general build instructions.
But the roomservice i wrote myself
Sent from my MI 2S using Tapatalk
you should use local_manifest for that
btw you have to use official PA repos: https://github.com/AOSPA-legacy/android_device_xiaomi_aries
and check the dependencies: https://github.com/AOSPA-legacy/android_device_xiaomi_aries/blob/kitkat/pa.dependencies
this is senseless work though because u can use roomservice.
Yeah i maked a local_manifest folder and in that folder a roomserice.xml and there i wrote the device tree
