I think 4.1.1 jb ROM maple syrup, droidbasement, and per shoot have the best ROM . Everything works with the exception of ff camera. Super fast and smooth and a world of experience to guide you on any fixes. Updates and nightlies

For me, it is Paranoid Android. Hybrid mode (tablet UI) is amazing

I have completed a system backup (Nandroid and Titanium and Cheetah sync) and am now ready to install Paranoid Android, however I have a few questions, before I dive into this.
Is this URL below the repo for the latest Paranoid Android ROM ?
https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0BxvMrfH_1Cv7UjNlUTZYa1hQNnc/edit
Why are there 2 Google Apps and which one should I install ?
gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip
LowRider-GB-GAPPS-5.5.0.zip
nexus7bootanimation.zip
pa_maguro-1.98-11AUG2012-042529.zip
Also why is there a zip includes called nexus7bootanimation.zip and how do you install this. Is the installation mandatory ?

Well definitely dont install the maguro zip. That's for the GSM Galaxy Nexus

This is my all time favourite original firmware ROM for I still can't find the right one, especially for the XME.
Regards.

There are no good custom roms yet because all the devs are waiting for official ICS release which contains the needed drivers for a custom ICS built.
According to samsung the update will come next month, so we have to be patient a little longer.
In the meantime I will stick with stock rom as HC works like **** regardless of what rom one is using.
Best current ROM, with no disrespect to the 7.7 devs, i think is the stock ROM. Even when ICS comes out and custom ROMS do come out, i will stick with stock. It is fun flashing custom ROMS but sometimes there is always something worng with them so for this tab i am sticking with stock. Just my toughts.

I now find out that the best one is the one you like the most. LOL
(JB) Nexness PRO V2 and (ICS) Zeta V4.0 are the best :good:
Will consider later coz' I'm on Official ICS ROM updated via OTA
Stock is still the best. Just root it.
Rooted stock. Seriously, no need to screw around otherwise.
Agreed, just get DDLP5 or similar
Zeta V4 with Dedraks kernel :good:
By the way, what does stock do that custom doesnt, besides all the bloatware
Just installed Singha + Dedrak + Aroma tweaks, works fine, maybe not as smooth as Zeta, not sure, but keeping it for the CRT-off thing :good:

Hello,
I have recorded a video about this How To, and an article:
Article: Install Jelly Bean on my Android Device
HOW TO:
1 - Download the custom rom, if this rom is found on xda, it must be CM rom.
2 - Download Gapps, to install Google Now & Google play, for CM rom. gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip is the last one.
3 - Reboot your phone on recovery mod
4 - Do a full wipe (wipe data & wipe cache)
5 - Flash the rom custom
a/ Install zip from sdcard
b/ Choose zip from sdcard
c/ Go to the romcustom.zip file on your device
6 - Restart your phone
7 - Reboot again on recovery mod
8 - Flash the Gapps.zip (same as 5)
9 - Restart your phone
10 - ENJOY
Seriously?
Wow. How is this still here??

Anybody else getting constant reboots with this version?
Tried upgrading to N from stock and it's dropped me into a bootloop. Now looking for the OTA file to see if an adb sideload will fix the problem
No boot loops or reboot issues here

May be placebo, but my wifi suffered on preview 2, now it's back to normal like it was on MM and N preview 1.

I was f***ed yesterday, and an ADB sideload is the only thing that allowed to get Android back at all.

You need the vendor.img as well .. to be safe
Try this package .. Update.ZIP_PixelC_Ryu_NPD35K-system-vendor.zip -> to be installed via TWRP.
Have a look here .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-c/development/twrp-flashable-monthly-update-zip-pixel-t3375591
Cheers
Seems to be working fine for me at the moment, haven't really noticed anything different from dev preview 2 though.
