Hey people
I was wondering if some body can port this ROM over... I've been hearing about this ROM when I was still on windows (TP2) I seen Noobnl try to do something with it. But I heard he quit (Great DEV)... Okay back to what I was saying I was playing with it a little bit with his release. Seems like its banging
I seen this on the Vibrant forum with a Port Link and was wondering if somebody-anybody who knows how to port if they can port this over

Also, no CM rom because Sammy hasn't given us source code for drivers and whatnot.
The other thing about this post that i find just staggeringly stupid is that if you look down a little bit on most days you'll see noobnl's posts about 6.1 betas for the epic and how hes working on it, which only goes to prove that the search feature is either dead or non function for the Epic section of the forums, or somehow the words get distorted when other people that the poster and the literate read them.

HAHA, love it. Yeah I was commenting the other day on how google's servers are apparently down. Perhaps we could start a thread "[ROM][FIX][BUG][REQ][WIKI][STICKY][SEX][PLEASE][STOP] SEARCH FUNCTION BROKEN!!!!!!!!!" to let everyone know that they will need to just man up and create a new thread every time they have a question about anything, no matter how stupid, useless, or even already answered.
I will work on setting up a petition for the new thread?

i would say someone should sticky a post with some ettiquite (cant spell since my work's IE doesnt have spell check lol) "tips and tricks" kind of like the forum's rules that you have to read when you sign up, except it would probaly be moved to the general sub forum because it has nothing to do with development and probally be ignored worse than XDA's rules.

We are contributing by trying to *bully* some sense into a format(forums) that was tried and true, within our circles, until those who probably don't fit into anything we do here, (just want hand outs) come and muddy the waters....
I go to a good number of forums daily, and this nonsense is only on xda.. There are forum rules, if people can't live by them, they shouldn't post...

Haha, this thread is obviously just meant to poke fun, but as you can see, some people just take this so seriously sometimes...it's rather amusing
This thread will get closed, as it does in fact accomplish nothing. I just wanted, if only for a short period of time, to bring into light how much effort people put in to complaining around here. No, it is most certainly not everybody. But for crying out loud, the general section is beginning to look like an activist corner.
An outsider would come to our forum, see all those threads I posted...and probably just think of how much of an ungrateful bunch we are. I mean people have every right to their opinion, but seriously, there are enough threads to start a "hate" section.

HOWEVER, its not fair to the people who are making due with what we have and having fun making it better, to have their posts absolutely buried by 12+ threads complaining about LITERALLY the same issues. Its one thing to have an opinion, but its another to jam it down everyones throat in hopes that everyone will follow you.
Does more than one person have the same opinion? of course! But organize it. consolidate it. dont drown the forum in negativity. at that point its just sloppy *****ing.

to be fair to the op, the mod originally said "obvious troll is obvious". Then he post was edited reopened and moved.
S15274N seriously helps TONS of people and goes above and beyond to contribute. Really weak sauce IMHO.

Agreed, that's why I did it.
And yes, his post was edited. To be fair, I edited my op to be better, but before I could post that I cleaned it up, it was locked.

The way I interpreted his statement was that the thread wasn't so much the issue, but that some of the more extreme comments were.
My personal on the button: I have no problem with it. I'm with birgertime. This site started as a winmo forum and grown into so much more. Why wouldn't they want to advertise their new sister site? ios is a huge platform and I'm sure they would like those eyeballs to head on over here. Plus those mac fans love to throw out money, like for fart apps. xda deserves money, not so much apple.

To the Mod that closed this: This is not IRAN we do not need the "Thought Police" telling us we shouldn't express our consternation with a given product or corporate behavior. I would agree to personally attack another person is inappropriate But, the fact is; in a forum such as this we have the right to express our thoughts about these products. After all, isn't that how the development section got started by a bunch of us who were angry with the corporate Lameness and took to solving the substandard products on our own...?........ and my response to that was, i couldn't do anything about it. The thread was WHEN netflix would be out, and some random guy replied to it.

This does not FC on my Sammy Vibrant, but I do have issues connectin to the Netflix Servers. At least it seems to be only DRM issues now.

You join the XDA IRC and say "ops plz" (repeatedly so they notice it quickly). (j/k, and also I don't even know if there is an IRC).
In any case I do believe the account has to be a certain age and you have to have a certain number of posts (or at least those should be basic criteria).
It's probably in a FAQ somewhere on the site (or if not, should be).

If you find problems, use the reporting system. But don't come waltzing in here and issuing threats and edicts when you don't have the authority to back them up. If you're not a moderator, you're a regular member just like the rest of us, which means you don't have the authority to tell us what to do. You've obviously weren't around here when the Atrix Forums first opened, or perhaps you've forgotten what it was like around here.
Basically it was a lot of ex-iPhone d-bags that got the Atrix as their first Android phone, and had little respect for XDA. IMHO The Atrix forums has been "pleasant" lately compared to what it used to be when it first opened...

I'm on this forum nightly, usually moving questions to the Q&A. I don't have the time to read every thread in every section, that's why we Mods rely on ''you'' to report off topic, rude, etc. posts; and then we will deal with it accordingly.
Thanks for your concern however. I will try to give this forum a bit more attention. In the meantime, use the reporting system that is in place, if you feel a thread or posts deserves special attention, in keeping with the XDA rules (see sig for link).

Dude, posting stuff like that is a good way to loose all friends here - nobody likes a self appointed hall monitor. Let the mods do their job, I don't think the policy is to remove every post that might offend someone, it's the tubes; you need to grow a thick skin.
Don't worry, the angst lake will drain once the ICS situation resolves itself - one way or the other. Although, prepare for some awesome gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands if Moto pulls the same stunt they did with the Dext and cancels the update at the last moment.
Well I'll have to admit : I knew the Htc Magic, Htc Touch2, Htc HD2, Samsung Galaxy 10.1v and the Xperia Ray community and the Atrix one is by far the worst. A lot of aggressiveness and unthankful people...

So what devices have a GOOD active community then? I'll sell mine and go get one of those.
Honestly I don't think this community is all that bad. It's like any other community really, in that you have your good users and bad users.
What would really be neat is to take the regional and economical demographics of all the smartphones and compare them. Then you might have something.
Of course people's standards of good and bad are different as well, so you're always going to have someone complaining. Trust me on this, I'm a goth/industrial DJ and getting everyone in this subculture at the club to be happy is like spitting into an oncoming wind!
I don't say it's hell on earth either...it's just that there is a level of animosity that I never encountered before. Why is that, I don't know...

Then I guess you haven't seen the HTC Hero forum. There most of the fighting is between devs, and the majority of bans, blocks etc. is toward the devs, that dont play together nice...
As for this community, I admit that there are some that dont stop complaining, but as already said, in the beginning it was worst.
The best thing here is that most of the complaining is to Motorola and stinking nVidia (Burn bi$#h burn!!! ), whereas practically all the Atrix forum dwellers pay there respect to the devoted devs.
I think that most of the complains will be gone once Moto will release the ICS update. If they will not release it this community will just die slowly...

Toshiba Folio, Kindle Fire sub-forum are good and active in my opinion. The Acer Iconia A100 is not active, however people there treat each other especially good. I can say more than 99% of the users there are good and humble, respectful of each other.
Get an HD2, it's more religion than gadgetry.

Same thing with the HTC Aria. Its an old phone now, but the people there NEVER demmanded anything and were so grateful for what ever they got (Rom-wise).
This forum...not so much....

Dont' take all I said personal, it was most directly to Mods. I don't know if you want to ban me or do whatever you want with my account Mods but I'm going to tell you the truth...
