My mother has a galaxy tab 10.1N and has asked me to help her with a problem she is having. Have been trying to figure it out for the past hour but can't find a solution short of factory reset.
Whenever we open the browser or do a goggle search using the search bar widget we get taken to google plus page. It doesnt matter what we enter, we always can only get taken to her google plus front page. The tab has become a paperweight now without the ability to surf the web. Anyone know this issue?
Is the problem with just stock browser? Do you have chrome installed? If not install chrome browser and see if your problem persists.

You need to be using the latest ICS firmware to be able to download Chrome.

I don't think her tab has ICS available yet. She has the German version 10.1N which is a bit different I guess

Would that require root or void warranty? If so my mother would not let me do that to her device.
No its an official samsung firmware so it doesnt void the warrenty. Only custom roms do this.

Not yet, try the uk rom, its already good, no need for full wipe, you can flash phil version when its release in our country . Binary counter wont increase

Have you encountered the "Processing failed" message when you register your device to be able to recieve OTA updates after flashing the rom? I did. I don't really rely on OTA upgrades since i flash roms, but it does bug me a bit knowing that i dont have that option.

Afaik it happens because of csc doesnt match between rom (uk or german or whatever) and our phone's (globe or smart or sun or openline).
I am currently using german rom flashed over philippine rom (globe), and just ignores the warning.. do far no prob for me stabilitywise
Hopefully when official philippine jb rom comes, the csc will match so ota upates can now be enabled..

Yes just flash the UK rom as it is newer then German and most probably the one which is going to come to Asia, I also got sick and tired of waiting for the indian release and installed the uk samsung really are treating as a second world country two months still no release

I think that was a problem with the german rom which was release earlier than the uk, haven't tried it yet

Its is because you have flash rom which is not for your region and hence you get this error, you can either live with it or change the CSC code to the rom you installed the only issue then would be you will get updates for that particular region in future
i am using jb rom of germany no issues so far well except for ota updates. i can always use odin anyway.
I just bought my Note and as I was using the S Note for reading my chemistry ebooks and doodling on them, everytime I exit the app, it took so long before the ebook is saved. Sometimes, my Note won't even respond. Is there something wrong with it? Should I have it replaced?

1) I have rooted my Note8, I guess I cannot upgrade the usual way thu ODIN or yes?
2) Can I use a alternative country rom to flash my Belgian Note8, France perhaps?
When referring to "WiFi" it means wifi only, so I cannot use it to flash my Note with 3G I guess...

1 You can update with odin. No problem. Then use Cf-autoroot to root again.
2 This ROM is for Germany zone. But no problem using it in Romania.

I have been waiting for this for over a month (34 days ), since the P3100 XEF was released.

I installed french 4.2.2. version from Sammobile site trough Odin. Then I selected only slovenian keyboard. But when the keyboard displays in stock internet browser, I have two languages to choose from - slovenian and english (UK) with english (UK) being default.
Is this a bug or can I disable english keyboard?

I think that this is not a bad rom. MAYBE a little laggy. However the worst problem is the flash player. I dom't know why but it goes with firefox, it doesn't with boat browse.

I flashed it through odin. Then I did factory reset. Then I installed all my usual programmes. I didn't see any lagging and my Tab felt really faster than with 4.1.2.
Oh, I forgot to mention that it can be rooted easily with all the files got from our rooting thread by multiple monomials.

I am not sure but I think it will NOT work for 5110 !! Just to be sure...just wait for the 4.2.2 for 5110 and don't mixed up your tablet

Did anyone else try to flash this on carrier locked p5100? My Build number is IMM76D.P5100XXBLE3. It's ICS 4.0.4, Baseband P5100XXLE3.

I try to download the firmware with Frija without luck , CSC is XEF and PDA/CSC/Phone is G975FXXU3BSH4 , I know that here are other methods to obtain it
