How much did you pay for your's in the UK - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just wanting to know how much you paid for your nexus 7 and where you bought it from, I was reading prices on reviews from £159 but couldn't find any at that price or even near.

That's for the 8 Gig version. 16 Gig is £199 from CPW. I haven't got a clue (nor do I care) if it's available at a lower price elsewhere.

I paid £189.99 with a code from Tesco.

got my 16GB one for £199 (inc delivery) from CPW. As said before £159 is for the 8GB version.

£179 16GB Tesco Direct, collected from store.

^^This^^ collected from store.

I paid £189 from tesco plus 200 clubcard points (so effectively £20 back at a later date)
HMV do it for £199, and if you are a student (or former student as they never remove the discount from their website) you can get it at 20% off so £179.99.

Hate to break it to you but that's 2 quid off, not 20. Also, I only got 189 points. Even paying full price you'd only get 199!

oh your right, not sure what I was thinking, however with the club-card exchange you still get lots back

£199 - from PC world
They were 'sold out' - however I popped in to ask when they were getting any more - and the guys said a member of staff was bringing his pre order back..
He preordered one, which was delivered - but he had just got one instore the day before [just in case!]
So he refunded that one and sold it to me - still sealed etc
Was the last one in the area

Mine cost me £203 because I paid for next day delivery
I went onto the PC World site a few weeks ago and noticed that the "Preorder" button had changed to "Buy now" and I managed to snatch one up - about an hour later they were all gone. It arrived the next morning too

Tab price slashed (again) in UK.

News today that Tesco (Kind of a UK grocery store/Wallymart) Has cut the price of the Tab. Again. Was 449. Now 359.20. No contract. Unlocked.
http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.210-9724.aspx
Doh!!!!! I paid 429 for myne
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
I think it is part of a promotion where they pay the VAT as similar discounts are available on loads of computer and phone stuff.
BTW it also appears to apply in store too as I got mine there yesterday.
gutted, I paid £550 for mine from Comet and I'm paying monthly for it so I still have about £549 to go!
damn. thankfully I love the tab, but it sucks knowing that it has dropped from £499 to £359 in just 3 months after launch... Maybe they should offer the early-birds some incentive when the next version of the tab is being released later this year. I'm now not making the same mistake and will wait a few months before upgrading...
i just about bought one today but was unsure if they were unlocked or not.
no staff on hand to ask either
Mine was free!
(ok so i straight swapped my Desire HD to get it, but no money changed hands )
Thanks to a salesperson not connecting the sim and me keeping quiet i got a tab for free! Unlocked and unbranded goodness for nowt lol.

just in case anyone is still after a tab, your best deal right now is to get it online with best buy via quidco. they are matching the £359 price, throwing in a free 16GB sd card and with quidco you get 10% off right now. not too bad!
This is an unbelievable price for a fantastic piece of kit! I'm still happy that I bought mine in December last year, but woudl have liked to save the 100 quid!!!
Just spotted that Amazon UK have dropped the price again to £341.24!

This information is appearantly incorrect. I just tried to buy one at COSCO and it is $429.
Damn, I just bought the one from BB this morning for 429 after taxes + 100 GC. If I can get the costco one, I am so down with that.

I picked mine up at my local warehouse today and paid $349.99 - that price drop finally kicked me off the fence - it may be a warehouse only price as it's still reading $429 on-line.
Got 80 back today, thanks

Thanks for the heads up. I just got $80 back.
I am tempted to buy a second one for that price.
If you really want a good buy - pick up one of the SanDisk 8gig micro SDHC cards - $17.99 - but inside the packaging is a coupon for 100 free 4x6 prints - a $13.00 value. So the card ends up costing just $5.00. Not too shabby.

Why don't just go to target and get the 8G for $9, with a red card, you won't pay too much tax either. Costco got a lot with free prints, even a picture frame.
I was in the store where I saw the deal.
OP, thanks for the post... I went yesterday and got back $80
A500 at Costco
I bought one yesterday (8/16) at Costco in Overland Park, KS for $80.00 off - 32G w/ case. Sale through Saturday, 8/20/11. It is IN-STORE only. Not available from costco.com
The sale is till they are gone, like the flip camera they have still going on for $100 way after sale stopped.

UK 8gb stockists?

Just had a look on the argos website and they only stock the 16gb n7, same with another UK retailer, can't remember which though!
Where did you all get yours from in the UK ?

The 8 GB version is a Google Play exclusive. You can't buy it anywhere else. This applies to all countries, not just the UK.

I may just put the extra to and buy the 16gb version if it takes ages!

Now that they've finally got their stock sorted out it should ship immediately. They have plenty of the 8GB, but the 16GB is backordered.

If you can cough up an extra twenty quid you can get a 16gig from Tesco for 189 with a code (ask if you need it) with free next day delivery to a store for collection.

If you'd bought it from Comet, you wouldn't - they're gone.
Hey, i have an 8g n7 and v tempted by the 32, and a bit tempted by a 3g..
But now I see in UK the 16gb can be got for £158 , so wondering if that would do its just am having to be careful with what I install and can't record much video etc as 8 runs out of storage. Its just a lot less than the 32 to the point of tempting... if 32 gets a reduction somewhere I'm in though...
So asking 16 owners how close to full they are and if there's enough storage to not be a pain.
That said an n10 would be cool but i not really got the cash.

It wouldn't be worth it even if you could get someone in the UK to ship to you as the Samsung cashback can only be claimed in the UK and only one plus it uses the registration details when first set up according to the conditions. Surely you would get import duty plus the high cost of postage would bring it in line with us prices ? Plus any issues would need shopping back to the uk ...
Xpansys in the US are selling at $499 which works out at £314

Crazy to see this tablet so cheap, it's brilliant! And sooooo much better than the Tab 2 10.1, which is nearly the same price!!!

No, the Tab 2 10,1 is also reduced:
Tab 2 10.1 = £238 - £50 Samsung Cashback = £188
Note 10.1 = £318 - 50 Samsung Cashback = £268
Not sure I'd say £80 difference is 'nearly the same price'.
These prices are valid at Tesco, Argos and John Lewis (at least)
Argos currently offering a free £10 gift card if you spend over £100 too (offer ends today!)

Agh, I paid 480 euros just a month ago and it seems I'm not even eligible for the cashback as I bought before the 24th. It's great for most but I'm feeling a bit annoyed that the price had gone this low already given that it had only just been released here. I was thinking prices might drop after Christmas which wouldn't be so bad, but it's ridiculous for those who bought a new product so recently.

All electronic products come down in price or better spec newline the same price. I bought back mine for 319 about week ago from Tesco.
Got the Galaxy Note 10.1 for £234.99 on Thursday at PC World with price matching at Tesco and Argos after £80 cashback
PC world price £399
Tesco and Argos £318
10% of £82 Rounded it down too £8 and adjusted till price to £310
had to buy a cover to qualify for £80 cashback so cheapest cover £4.99
Galaxy Note 10.1 for £234.99
This took a bit of arguing before they would accept their own price promise but got there in the end
