My Phone: DEFY mb525 "red lens
Today i flashed CM10 30/07 ROM (Quarx) for mb526 phone because quarx recomended that ( by red lent) and flash kernel of Gingerbread...
now, all works very well and very FAST! but y have a problem, i haven´t GSM or 3G signal... its dead.
PD: i used the BASEBAND SELECTOR but it not change..

did you use the baseband selector include in the rom? didn't you use the APK baseband app by flashing recovery too???... on some nightlys i had the same problem and install the apk baseband and it works. In other i fix it pasted the phone.apk from unzip the nightly and replace with some root explorer.
try those maybe fix your problem too

Have you tried various baseband types?
Even if it has the same values as your usual baseband, just try a few. you could try "Australia" or try "central Europe" and see if the work as it should be the same network as you use in argentina

I apllied my defy [SBF]4.5.1-134-DFP-132-Android 2.3.6 Defy+ this rom.
I know that my defy can't aplly cm7/miui rom, but I want to apply any ROM to my defy.

Well I'm working on a minimalist ROM.And yes as of now except for MSGinger , stock ROM is second fastest.

currently running cm7.2 as main rom and cm9 as secondary rom via dual boot
i was wondering can i flash miui rom on my defy as secondary rom?
whether it be gingerbread or ics???

Well miui is based on froyo kernel .. so whatever miui version you flash must work on your phone

Yes you can do that by flashing from the correct recoveries(Stable or latest) .. The only thing you need to take care is that both the ROM should have same kernel and apart from that possibilities are almost endless!

Now My Battery And Camera didnt work,
After root Bootloader 7 I try Any Rom to Flash and I have bootloader Error.
Please Help!
ypu have to flash a custom rom with for gb kernel. try cm72 from quarks for defy+.

so flash the sbf to get your phone back to life and try those

You are pretty much stuck!! Follow the steps here to root you rphone first. Now you can install only those ROMs which are meant for Defy but they won't have green lens support! So after flashing any such ROM you need to check if there is a camera fix and if that exists you are lucky!!

Froyo kernel for green lens bootloader 7 ?
Hello everyone, I can't find a Nandroid for Moto DEFY, for be more precise its the Defy Plus Ported for Normal (old) DEFY with red lent... All I remember it was a German Firmware with GB 2.3.5
It was uploaded to W.U. but its broken now.
And i cant find it on XDA.

Edit 06/05/2012: Solved, red lents are compatible with defy+ firmware, so I just installed a retail FW for Defy+ and works great. For green lents, it need to be moddified.
Hi everyone i tried too much for run CM10.2 or CM11 on my dear Defy but i have some problems
i have installed just the tutorials said, but my phone still have the sames problem, i ask in GrupoAndroid but them cant help me so i ask here if us can find a solution
some data from my defy:
MB525 BL7 now with CM10.1
i have installed TWRP 2.6.3.0 for install CM11 but still having the Set_metadata_recursive problem
in CM10.2 after install the rom, phone boot up but when the M logo ends (with led green) it goes to a black screen by 5 sec and restart (bootloop)
i can only install CM10 and CM10.1 without problems
i have tried using germany and misty SBFs as base for install CM but still having the same problem
sorry by my bad english, i hope u can help me to solve problem
PD: i have 2 defys MB525 and both have the same problem
