And how is this working? Is this tool somehow bruteforcing the pattern or is it using a security flaw in Android? Does it work with all Android version 2.3.x-4.1.1 or just some of them?
Does it work with Stock Roms and AOSP builds?
Come on OP this is XDA Developers not XDA eat or die.

and about how working:is easy this small soft send a "string $" to phone and phone accept this and deactivate temporarily pattern lock.

How to Disable Capacitive buttons on CM10 or AOSP based roms!

Just check out sth on XDA and with some trial and error I got it working right.(thanks cyberanarchy)
Do a nandroid backup in case of failure! This is only if u have softkeys which u can enable with the softkey enabler from the playstore on any AOSP rom.
Just use any root explorer app.Go to system/lib/hw and here find the "lights.find5.so" file and rename it to whatever u want in my case i did "lights.find5.so.zip".That will disable the capacitive button lights upon reboot.
For the buttons themselves head to system/usr/key layout/synaptic.....(has the name synaptic in it and it's the only one).Copy this to ur computer for backup purposes if u didn't do the nandroid already. Now open it as a text file and delete everything inside.Save and reboot.
Hit Thanks if u .....u know.....

open the lights.find5.so file as a text file and check but i'm not sure. There maybe it's possible.
Does anyone have a working solution for AOKP 4.3? When I rename the lights.so file, it also breaks a lot of other things. For example, when I send my phone to stand-by, the screen doesnt turn off but remains backlit.

[ZIP FLASH] Bypass And Unlock Any Android Lock Screen

My idea is to replace the lock screen data with an empty null data
and the phone will be restored to basic slide to unlock
and from here, you can access your phone and insert new password or pin or pattern...etc
without format or modify any data "settings, media, apps, Rom data ..etc"
So what is it ?
It's a zip file that bypass any unlock screen
-Pattern
-Pin
-Password
-Face
How
Just flash it with CWM
[BACKUP FIRST]
Why to use it?
So you forgot you pass? no need for format..
just download it on external SD-Card then flash it CWM
Happy bypass guys :good:-

Yup. But would be greater if it is signed with Google's certificate. So, we can flash it even with stock recovery
Can this also be used to overcome the lock screen pin/pwd requirement of Androids stock encryption?

be careful and don`t try this. in the lg-g3 irc channel our only-hope-devs where afraid to do this because it could brick your phone forever.
i remember they said it is 50:50 chance it may work or it will destroy your device. i would be afraid to play the roulette with a expensive device like this.
this was the last info i had seen some weeks / months ago, maybe now they would say it is a 100% chance of perma brick!

Also, could you, or anyone using this, record when they use their phone? Would be lovely.
It doesn't have Gapps, so i can't download any record screen software ;/ tried SRC but it FC. It really faster.

Ignore it. It occurs due to gapps not certified by the rom. You are using custom rom which is uncertified and therefore your gapps are too.

Dont understand, why a thread here? We already have the official thread in original forums.
You dont even build it from source, you point to it.
Cryptomining?
Yeah, something is goofy here. After installation, I got a warning my N6 was not official device and I now had to allow it to be used to mine some obscure cryptocurrency. Beware?!
Link broken, look for official thread in OAD section, thread closed
