How would I go about flashing ICS to my Thrive? Is there any good ROM's out for it?

No there is no ICS ROM available yet. There should be an OTA out soon since it is in beta now.

I've heard its perfectly alright to flash another systems ROM to another device..

Then you would have a huge brick paperweight

You could. But more than likely, it will just go into a boot loop or not pass the Toshiba Logo. You could reflash the correct ROM and it should be OK.

Hehe, you're a little late, huh?
There's already a leak for the official release in the forum, and a way to root both ROMs, and MIUI/CM7 ports...
You're the guy with the engineering phone, aren't you?

Finally someone got it ported haha. One thing that was weird. I had another developer device and I put CM7 on it and i got an email saying the next morning "Thank You for your Nexus S purchase!".. it was a moto backflip lol and I didn't buy any phone.

Dont flash this unless you know what you are doing.
Flashing it as a normal SGS2 on your GT-I9100 would surely create problems.

I would but don't know how to download it . But no way I'm flashing that with Odin, that would be just stupid. It probably includes bootloader, so flashing a M205s or whatever bootloader on GT-9100 doesn't sound terribly smart.
Why not just wait a few more days for official ROM? Are you that eager to get a paperweight?
So, I may actually stick with 2.3.6 for awhile.
Don't they use the exact same hardware though?
So what have all the previous leaks been? European? US?

I unlocked my bootloader. Installed TWRP. Backed up root with Voodoo. Forgot to unfreeze bloatware. Took the recent OTA and had partial success as I was upgraded except for the new radio. I installed .78p from the above link and it works fine.

Does anyone know if this baseband helps Bluetooth at all, or would I need the whole upgrade for that? The release info-graphic Motorola put out says the update improves Bluetooth connectivity, so I am just curious. My Voyager Legend disconnects mid call when wifi is on sometimes.
Thanks!
well i kept putting off installing the new radio as i knew it was going to re-lock it and i would have to do the sim unlock again(not hard do to i just didn't want to swap hard drives). with that being said i installed this Friday night and to my surprise it didn't re-lock the radio. i was shocked as it should have re-locked it but did not so i would say if u are using the sim unlock and want the new radio this is prob the better way to get it over the ota. wifi seems to be performing a little better it only dropped the signal once in my bedroom last night instead of every 5 min like it was doing(yes i know its the phone every other device i have tested doesn't do it). cell signal seems to be about the same, but i am using a net10 att sim so the signal may be better on vzw's towers. i have not tested bluetooth yet as i only have one thing that uses it and that is my moga controller. i am on the 7-30 build of aokp if you wanted to know that.

Android N update NPD35K

Just got NPD35K pushed to my phone. Hopefully some new stuff from the Google I/O?
I thought I wouldn't be able to receive updates with a rooted device and a custom kernel. Is this the new way of Android N system image pushing?
Apparently this is now the actual beta. And no longer a preview version. This counts as preview 3.

Just received it also. Great ... exciting!
Got it here too,so far,so good!!!

I've never once taken an ota but I'm tempted. Is it safe to accept if you're decrypted?
Sent from my angler using XDA Labs
Were you unencrypted when you updated to it? I know TWRP doesn't work when it's encrypted (on N) so I'm waiting for the factory images to be released so I can modify those and stay unencrypted, but if it works anyway I'll update ASAP.
Hello. I want to take this update too. My bootloader is locked. Though i have enabled oem unlocking and usb debugging. Can i ota update to android n beta? I mean in case i get into bootloop. I have everything stock. Nothing changed. Currently on may update mob30i.

What i wanted to ask was. Should i be safe in case o run into bootloop. Or brick my device?

I apologize for all of us who take your great work for granted buddy. Don't know what we got till it's gone and even then some of us don't know or care lol. I wish more of us would show our appreciation more. My whole HTC experience has always been dependent on Dottat, Andybones, Santod, jcase, beaups and a few others I can't remember. But there isn't many. I know your work and assistance has helped us all tremendously. If it wasn't for you guy's the HTC experience would go from the best to the worst just like that. My phone choice is always dependent on whether or not you guy's are gonna get the next HTC or not. Pretty big deal if you ask me! I think HTC should put you all on their payroll! HaHa
