That wasn't informative in the least bit. Somewhat funny that you personally rather have S3 + condom over a NOTE, and that you regularly text while peeing.

No question about it, its note 2.

vote for note 2

S3 is better than NOTE....NOTE 2 is better than S3...
Its just common sense...coz its of the same company.... DUH

Large Screen < Optimum Screen > Small Screen.
It depends on your pocket size, and hand size. If you are worthy to posses the NOTE then jolly good to you, if you are girly sized then good luck with your Gnex/S3.

I have done in the past too, I was on the phone to my mate whilst i was drunk
it ended up with me dropping the phone down the toilet, still urinating, having that intense thought of whether to dip my hand in and get it or wait till i'd finished.
anyway i ended up sticking my hand in the toilet, still urinating, urinating all over the floor, all over my hand, all over the wall and toilet seat.
It was horrible but luckily my phone survived...............I then gave it to my GF and bought a Samsung Galaxy S1
Never do i urinate whilst on the phone, Lets all just be grateful i wasnt doing a poo !
100% true !

Lol, how the hell are you a recognised contributor?

I have no idea lol

that happened to me while pooping haha, i heard something drop in the toilet bowl, i thought i just released a big one. upon checking i saw my phone floating with the huge submarine i launched, you could barely recognize it because it had the same color. i was forced to pick it up with my bare hands and washed plus sprayed the whole sucker with alcohol and Lysol hahahaha! by the way that was a Nokia 8910

Well, in my opinion, the current Samsung Galaxy Note is already a better device than the S3 - for me at least. I love the massive screen, the high resolution and the performance of the device is still fairly impressive (heck, quad-cores are pretty overkill for the most part). Plus, the S-Pen does have its uses also. All I regret about the Galaxy Note is purchasing it on contract only to have its price drop drastically a week or two later.

I'm going to stick with the note 1 for a long time got it since end of october 2011 (yes from the begining), and can't be more happier with g.lewarne, kernel and rom, love this comparative .

Cool. That means i won't need to be careful of my phone in the toilet. :3
Wicked! I hope to see this technology on electronics devices soon--on cameras (DSLRs), on watches, etc...

Amazing, never have to worry about using your phone in the rain again as well.
I hope this becomes standard.. and soon!
I have been lucky to never kill a phone with water (well there was a nokia dumbphone that went though the washing machine) but still, wow.

True but the rain would interupt with the capacitive screen making it nearly impossible to use in the rain anyway.
But this does look promising. Hope it starts rolling out on devices this year!

I'm pissed they aren't a publicly traded company. I would have definitely invested about a grand or so in them.

To be honest I haven't noticed that, but considering the fear of getting the bloody thing wet im not surprised.
Not dying in the wet it half way towards usable in the wet at least
(and considering when we get rain over here, we really get rain, bloody hell!)
(Also that's a stupidly good movie, gotta love Simon Pegg and Nick Frost)

SGS2 cant swim

I know this thread is pointless but I just had to let go of some pains
Took my morning dump this morning. After the victory I got up and my sgs2 thought it would be a good idea to jump out of my pocket and join my swimming friends
Is a bag of rice still the best option?? I pulled it out really quick however, its not powering on even after 3-4 hours of drying...
Also, luckily I was due for a new phone with Fido and had alot of unused "fido dollars" to cover the cost of any phone i chose. I played around with the GNex and I cant for the life of me, figure out how that phone compares to the sgs2 in anything-that includes screen! Even at full brightness it simply isnt as bright.
Got a white iphone 4s still sealed in the box already posted on kijiji for $600.00
Looking for some good prices for an sgs2 right now.
That's pretty ****ty.

Never power it on after it's gone swimming. Just put it in a bag of rice and let it dry for about a week or so. I had an iPhone 3GS that was completely under water for about an hour and after a month in a bag of rice, it turned on without any issues, other than that the backlight of the LCD was dead.
hehehe, no ****!

i purchased the iphone 4s with the intention of selling it. A sealed iphone 4s still sells for $580 and up. Want to use the money for a new sgs2. Good thing is, i was one of the unfortunate few to purchase the slightly handicapped camera version. Going to look out for that.
I wont lie, i am tempted to try the 4s out but that screen just needs to be much bigger. Dont want to crack the seal.
Do yourself a favor, get a waterproof case for your next phone.

Its working, though the touchscreen is not nearly as sensitive as before and the camera has fog on the other side of it. But i have a feeling a nice nap in the rice bag overnight will do the trick.

If you're thinking of having sushi later make sure you don't use that, as it'd be a whole different kind of sticky-rice.
lol. yea. the phone is definitely going to be spending some time in the cleaning process afterwards! Now, what to do about the new iphone 4s and contract i signed. Take the cash for the iphone 4s now, or go back to the store and cancel the contract agreement to use for later......
Mate the htc sensation is very close in most aspects to the sgs2 with the exception of nand memory. User reviews recon its made stronger and the screen shows colour better.
As for the iphone sell it and get sim converted to normal one.

[Official SGSIII Antarctic Owners Thread] - Antarctic Related News-Reviews-Tips

Hey guys
Just got the phone and i have to say it works great, but battery life sucks if you go outside in the sub-zero temperatures. It dies in a few minutes! WHY doesn't samsung make a sub-zero resistant battery?
And frost easily collects on the screen, better buy a screen protector for that.
Anyone else notice wild penguins love to claw the phone? They must seem its a fish or something, if you leave it outside they peck it like its no tommorow.
Here are some pics.
Dawg, like you have it rough. I got the white version. I stepped outside to feed my penguins and I dropped it! I can't find it at all.

Better watch out if you have it on vibrate, the penguin might have eaten it an the vibrations might get him off. They are a vicious animal when aroused.

This guy is going to die an early death of cancer if he keeps doing stuff like this without at least wearing a dust mask. Hasn't he read about all of the poisonous and cancer-causing substances found in mobile phones and their batteries? When I saw the wisps of black dust rising as he opened the blender, this was the first thing I thought.
You have to have a very powerful blender to do this, and that iPhone was totaly destroyed before the S3 began to lose shape XD

So I made a mistake by exchanging my first one for a s4 what a bust that was that phone was full of lag no matter how much stuff I disabled and turned off and then I did I dug myself a bigger hole by exchanging for an iPhone 5 that was an even bigger mistake I don't even want to go there why that i**** was driving me crazy but I'm happy to be back here what a relief

Im sorry that you had a bad device experience with the S4. But I have to tell you, the S4 is far and away from laggy at all. Even in stock form. Several people that I know and many more on this site would tell you differently. I am going to say that either an app that you use caused the lagg, or the phone was a lemon. Heck, I have my S4 packed to the gills with apps and it is under clocked as well. And I get zero lagg.
Now, as far as the iPhone is concerned, I do not blame you in the least for getting rid of it. The company that I work for gave me an iPhone. After using it for a couple of months. I practically ready to smash it. So, I convinced them to purchase me an S4. For now and as far as a phone is concerned, I could not be happier.
Regardles the One seems as though it is a good phone. There are two things stopping me from owning it. This one is a big one. It is not on the Verizon network. And two, it does not have a micro SD card slot.

Not sure what awkward would mean, but the one heats just as any phone does, but the aluminum traps it and absorbs it more than say, plastic. That's not to say the phone itself is overheating, meaning for ex, u have a naturally 1.1ghz phone overclocked to 1.8ghz, that heat you're feeling is it screaming for it's life.
The heat on the one is just due to the fact it's aluminum, nothibg to panic about, I PROMISE YOU.
Why don't you get a case? Because you won't be able to feel it and well, as beautiful as it is, and as the case for all smartphones, drop it and it's gone.
Sent from my HTC One
The One feels hotter because the aluminum body conducts heat much better than plastic does. This is a GOOD thing. It means the phone cools off much faster when things get hot.
The power button is awkward to push but nothing that make me thing of using some crappy iPhone or the S4
Sent from my HTC One
Also any quad core phone will get hot
