Great, hopefully it'll help iron everything out in CM10
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

Ya it'll be nice to get all those binaries from Sammy!
And so much for the intl model not having enough ram.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium

Even the nexus s has got jellybean, so obviously 1gb of ram can be said to be inordinate in some ways.

Ya I just flashed it on my old nexus s, its better than ICS on it but due to the hardware it just isn't buttery like on my gnex. That's to be expected though with a 1ghz hummingbird and lower bus speeds.
Laughing at my sister with her galaxy s that doesn't even have ICS with pretty much identical hardware as my nexus s with jellybean.

JB is gonna be so awesome on the SGS3. Its so much faster than ICS on my GNex.

Instead of laughing, install Cyanogenmod 9 with Devilkernel or CM10preview no her i9000 and the device is up to speed.
Makes a huge difference over Gingerbread performance-wise and is rockstable.

Hey nod, think he just called your sister stupid, haha.

Damn... I had a 87MB update on my SGS3 this afternoon which failed. When I got home I tried to do the Update, and it just said "No update available".
What on earth? Was that JB which had been launched, and then pulled?

LOL No. That is a regular OTA update. JB is not yet released. If you read the article, you'll see that the the supposed release time is Aug/Sept. Might be later.
As for the OTA update, try connecting to KIES and update.

EG22 Samfirmware.com, Respect & Give Thanks

I just want to put my 2 cents out here for people to read.
Samfirmware.com was awesome enough to get us the latest leak after I asked on their twitter on Jul 11th, they followed through.
First I hope everyone that downloads and runs EG22 will drop by their site and twitter, @Samfirmware, and show some love, its the respectful thing to do.
I feel like having a mirror is taking away from their deserved traffic to their site and exposure, also they cant meter how many users downloaded it. Even if we just post the hotfile link they provide would be better than putting up a DB link, this way they can see how many US users are interested in the Epic4G. By doing this, maybe they will work more in future to get leaks for our phone because of the number of hits to their site, or the number on the hotfile counter.
Well the direct link is here, http://hotfile.com/dl/124888596/3935e47/D700EG22.rar.html , the password is samfirmware.com
Also I know some people feel that them saying for people to donate more from US, they are not demanding it. It cant hurt to ask, so I signed up for their one time premium deal.
Even though Im gonna DL the flashable version, Im gonna download it from their link.

And how many phones are even past 2.3.3? Better yet, 2.3.4?
But I do agree. Prlly 3 months. We've been getting "leaked" gingerbread roms since like may.
If they keep updating it behind the scenes, we're not going to see a real release because they're gonna keep "optimizing" it. Idk why you people always get excited about one. We get a new one everymonth. Nothings new.
Except maybe the *****ing that's gonna pop up because of stupid bugs like "OMG MY PHONE TAKES 1 SECOND TO SCREEN OFF WHEN I'M WATCHING YOUTUBE /life"

Yes, Moto has announced that we will.
More likely this is the calm before the storm. Everybody sits and waits for ICS to drop.

We also now have EK30 RDF

Aside from EI22 (which we now have officially,)
We've seen EK23 Sleep underneath us, and today, we now have EK30.
I don't know about you guys, but I don't mind these updates, if they keep going at it, what will you think will come of January 2012 ;D (wishful thinking here, don't get all crazy on me)
http://device.sprintpcs.com/Samsung/SPH-D700/EK30.rdf
Still reads 2.3.6, like EK23.
It's nothing like comparing source-code, but I just read up and compared both EK23 and EK30's UA Profiles, neither have a single 'change' this indicates to me what others such as Toadlife have been saying, kernel fixes. I can't comment, as I'm no Samsung Dev. We'll just have to wait and see.
I'm not sure if I want to stab Samsung or give them a hug.
Those builds are just patches to the official EI22 build.

So, for anyone who remembers the Puzzle Lock era I started >.>, I'm wanting something on the S3. Someone needs to enable the TouchWiz Tablet UX! Just like the puzzle unlock for the Epic, its all in the framework, just needs enabling. Supposedly, changing DPI doesn't just make it work, it has to be enabled first.

I still lurk around these parts because I think the SGS3 forums feel so cold and hollow, I think I've officially lost my desire to flash ROMs on my phone besides rooting. I will however flash a stable CM10 once that becomes available tho, because I have fell in love with it running on my Kindle Fire.

if it weren't for the DEV's, we'd still be under GB. NO ICS, NO JellyBean. longer waiting periods for the damn updates. C'mon. The Epic is a great device but because Samsung didn't provide the right attention to it... You get the point.
I think the boards are quiet because
There are a few alternatives to XDA for the Epic, like Epic CM's google+ page
Cm9 rc2 is out and it is dam near good
GB ROMs have kinda reached perfection
CM10 is just starting, and there is little to report
the majority of idiots have upgraded
And, sadly, a lot of devs have moved on
For me, as long as CM9 and CM10 support continues, i'm happy
