My work on the atrix was over the day we push the first stable cm7. Since them I've been working on Rom Factory (formerly Fruit Cake Maker), and today I'm working on fixing the cheesecake app for you guys. I am selling one of my atrix that's for sure. but i own 2 of them. so i def still have one and will continue to play with it. Once an ics official is available i will release a fruit cake for it and what not. but in my capacity as a dev, i will def not continue work on my ninja rom, and prob wont be very active on the forum.
Because of school and work I don't really have the time to explore and hack devices like I did a year back. Not too mention the increase cost of devices and being broke does not help me stay modern. My aging computer can't handle compiling much longer and my atrix, well, you saw the picture of my daily atrix, the screen is broken. I still continue work on an effort to boot webtop from cm7, which even tho i know better, i keep trying in hopes of coming up with a good workaround.
It's important as an user and dev to keep track of the milestones of a device. The Atrix was def a hard device to work with but as a community we have come far. Just to mention a few of the accomplishments of this community.
The atrix dev team (only here you will find 6+ devs willing to give up all their time to work together for the same goal)
International Bootloader Unlock (30+ people participated the night the unlock was discover, thats pretty amazing, and all of them are just as equally responsible for the unlock being found as steven25b or me.)
CM7 (may I mention one of the fastest put together cm7 ever, nearly 900 downloads in one day [im sure gs3 got more in one day but boo them])
Early Motorola Photon help. (they don't like to admit it, but we help the photon community massively. the2dcour even put a nice pudding together for them.)
My point is, as a dev, i know this community got it going right. I feel like i can help on other ways. And i def need a new challenge (phone) to keep me entertain. LOL beyond the fact that i need a new development phone, for app deving. Plus, if you miss me just drop me a line, I'm one friendly mofo, I'll answer and help, and if you are near me, let's go have a beer.

When you fix this app, I will help the guys out with searching for the ICS update... I have my Atrix back to Stock just for this purpose alone. I have my SGS3 now, so I will sacrifice my Atrix in whatever way it takes to help put. I too want a Full-Time lapdock Tablet type device out of this Atrix eventually. Let me know when and Where I can help out. Thank you Sam for all your hard work.
Still working on it. Im changing the way it works. Phydo did a great job. But is not the best way to do it. For reliability purposes im pretty much redoing the app.

Dreamsforgotten, last I talked to k0nane personally on the night of the ACS/INC start he told me Dreams was knee deep in smali code (theming) for the Nexus 4g..
So we definitely have a lot of important pieces missing to the big Epic 4g puzzle... I sure hope one day they all come back so we can finish this picture.
We still have some great themers and developers, plus many new in the last month or so up and comers that have made a great impact on the scene so we are going to all have to pull together and do the best with who/what we have. Everything will be fine.
Now more than ever everyone needs to work together, hand in hand and share to make future GB and the last of EC05 development the best it can be for the Epic 4g.

Pick up a free Atrix4g over the weekend. So far the increase in speed its just amazing over the Captivate. Hope it doesnt slow down as I slowly add back the apps. Love the finger swipe feature and enjoy using Tango with front facing camera for the first time.

Yeah, for me it will need to have more RAM and be quad core. There are new phones coming out that still don't have 1gb of RAM and are hanging around that 1.2 dual core. My ATRIX is already OCed to 1.45.

Thanks for the warm welcome after the initiation. I am reading and researching to determine if I want to root my phone again. Just need to find a way to wifi tether and use Titanium backup.

This is true BUT seeing all these devices get fully working ICS is making me somewhat regret my decision. Though I am positive that once full sources are released, we should get that soon.
But no denying that hardware wise, the Atrix is a monster and just as good as anything else on the market (especially now since Darkside just got full HDMI Mirroring as well as Webtop over HDMI).

Lol, seriously though, I've been on the Atrix forums since day one of the Atrix release. I've never been a part of a community that was so....... temperamental.
Concerning WiFi Tether and Titanium backup --- those are all both pretty easy to get going... just refer to Swiftks N00B guide. He really did a great job with that thing. I find myself referring going back to it every once in a while.
Once you unlock bootloader ---- the Atrix becomes a whole different beast. You'll have so much to do, it's going to be nuts.
Great deal on a great phone. Buying at this time or receiving rather you didn't have to wait for development to take off like it has grats

So true. Also welcome and congrats on a great deal! Nothing better than saving money. I've had my Atrix since the second day of the release and I don't have much to complain about.
I just wanted to thank the devs for their time and hard work,i hope i'm not outta place for saying this,but oh well,i think it needs to be said.
I want to personally thank all the devs that put their time,dedication and hard work to use for the XDA community,just like the rest of us,devs have jobs and families besides doing this for us for free,you know most of their ole ladies ***** and raise hell with them,when all they are trying to do is give to the community,so this is just one of the headaches they go through,so come on guys and try to give more appreciation towards the devs,don't be afraid to say thanks and give these guys some props that they well deserve.Trust me,i'm sure theres a few of us that have tried to develope a rom and failed miserably because its probably the most time staking,tedious job you can do and takes alot of concentration and devotion.I think it takes a great person to do all that for us.Again thanks guys for your hard work to keep us going.

Definitely agree with this thread! I'm just starting out trying to learn to dev, and mine eyes have been opened. My level of appreciation has grown exponentially the more I learn. Hat's off to all our great devs here in the EVO forum, and all xda. Thanks to the OP as well for recognizing what these guys do. It's tiring seeing the posts and threads of whiners and trolls that have no appreciation.

It is most definitely hard work I have been working on my rom since about 2 weeks before Christmas and still haven't gotten it ready for a release yet, I think I have put an average of 20+ hours a week into it and it still continues to grow, I'm no noob to coding either and it is still a challenge even with my extensive background with Linux and yes my wife *****es that if my phone had a vagina I'd divorce her and marry it almost every day as a matter of fact she's nagging as I type this

I want to say thanks to everyone here for a good couple of years. I made many good friends from this forum, learned a ton, and tried to pass on much of it to the group of themers that came after me.
I know that I will see many of you in the GS3 forums in the next few months, so until then, unless my daughter or ex f up their epics and I need help.

How about...all former OG Epic users who go to SG3 can simply post roms, themes, mods, and LeBron King photos over here in the Epic forums. There can be some kind of "code" used so we can differentiate between Epic threads and non-Epic (non Epic can have a suffix like "NE"- so we can have Peoples Rom NE, RandomRom NE, etc). Kenny, as FNM, can watch over to make sure no non-Epicureans get in (like the burly guy that stands at the velvet rope and let's the hotties into the nightclub). It will be like a "secret society" of old Epic users, complete with crest that can be used as splashscreen animation...
Shane, your contributions to the Epic were, truly, Epic. Thank you for your creativity and time! See you on the other side...

Mine arrived today... leaving too, not just the Epic... Sprint all together. 12yrs. Yikes!
I have joined up with HipKat and Diablo67 to roll out a whole new series of roms. We are bringing some of the legends back, modified and themed versions of current roms, and hopefully a new line of kernels covering all android versions for our phones.
The first is already out (dirty diablo) soon to be followed by an ics/jb themed gingerbread miui and the rebirth of team nocturnals merge rom. If anyone has a few suggestions on others you would like to see feel free to come to this thread and ask. You just might get lucky and get it. Hope yall enjoy and help keep this elderly device running for a few more years.

Thats actually a great name,i like it.This is the first one presented,lets see some more guys.In about a weeks time or so,we will pick the best name and post the members nick that comes up with it in our thanks credits and we'll throw you some thanks.I will also make a cusom team sig and banner for the team members and anyone else that wants to sport them.Other members can post their own creations if you like and the best one will be picked,if none are posted i will make them by default.

Thats actually a great name,i like it.This is the first one presented,lets see some more guys.In about a weeks time or so,we will pick the best name and post the members nick that comes up with it in our thanks credits and we'll throw you some thanks.I will also make a cusom team sig and banner for the team members and anyone else that wants to sport them.

After tomorrow i can do full time testing anybody needs.. I am getting a second evo so i can quit flashing on my main phone and just use the other to test.. Actually I'm getting three brand new ones from a friend that had his sprint account shut off due to not paying bill... So I can do your guys testing on a phone that wont mater to mess up...

Crime your banner looks pretty sweet too!! If we end up doing enough updated roms maybe "Grave Robbers" would be a good one.
Edit: Who knows maybe we can get soap's baked port and do some work on it also. Since you are taking a leave. It is by far my favorite jb rom out.
Edit: Edit: Oh also I need my turtle in my banner it does not have to be the same picture but I do like the alligator snapping turtle. He is just like me a little slow in the speed department, mild manner, but a beast if you piss it off!

Damn bloodhound gang is one of my favs. Well I got two roms in testing stage and might have the third one later. Now if I can only my internet wasn't throttled. Almost 2 hours so far on the upload with maybe 30 mins left and it is only 239 MB.

Well guys what about Team No Name or The Team With No Tag? We would then be TNN or TNT!! I kind of like TNT. Since we have a couple of dynamite roms. They have been running great with very few issues showing up so far.
