[Q] Has anyone else found that Google wallet works on N7?! - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Just for fun I decided to try to sign into Wallet. I didn't have any faith that it works since it doesn't work on my Evo LTE. Not only did it activate, it showed $10 in my account. What was interesting was that the $20 I loaded onto the phone does not show on the tablet. Obviously, it's device dependent.

it was all over the web several days ago

I can't wait to look so cool at Starbucks by swiping my tablet to pay.

I read about the update but I missed the part where someone said it works. I have it on my phone and it doesn't work, despite being one of the features that was played up.

It should work. It was pushed out and can make payments without being connected to the internet.

As a matter of fact, I activated it on my gnex and I got the ten dollar credit. I used it with no problem. Today I got my Nexus 7 and set it up, and got another ten dollar credit. The gnex shows balance zero, the 7 says ten dollars. For what it's worth, if you set up wallet on a rooted device, there is a warning art the top of every screen that the device is not supported for security reasons. Everything still works fine though!

Many people have contacted Google, and the representatives have stated that the next stock should be available in between 2 and 4 days.

I'm not sure, different people have asked. Since each country have different providers, e.g. Singapore for Australia, it may change between countries.
However, the average has been around 3 days.
2 to 4 days? I have no it seen anything about Google getting more stock in 2 to 4 days. Most Lilley this was confused with something else like your order should ship in 2 to 4 days..
Of this is true I would like to see an email or a quote. There have been way top many rumors and so much false info related to this whole thing.
Google could clear it all up with as 2 minute statement to the press. I am really shocked that Google has not announced anything but backorders.. A simple statement would ease so many minds..
I was told sometime in the next 3 weeks probably.. That did not give me much confidence..lol

[Q] How did you name your Nexus 7?

I have been thinking about re-naming my Nexus 7 ( Bluetooth, Play & PC) but I have really no idea what to name it..
I was hoping I could get some inspiration here
So what did you name your Nexus 7 on:
Play Store
Bluetooth
PC?
Screenshots included to further show what I mean.

its a security feature within android. you are texting too much within 15 minutes.
as a workaround, flash a custom rom such as cm10.1 jellybro

Is this sarcasm? It's a security feature like I said. It's to prevent charges by your carrier. It's definitely possibly to go above 30 SMS limit within 15 minutes.
For example, let's say you had a rogue app. And the rogue app keeps sending text messages, if it sends more than a limit (greater than 30 in 15 minutes) that pops up and asks you whether or not you want to keep allowing it to go further. If you had X number of text messages per month (not unlimited), well... you're in trouble but good guy android is here to protect you
A workaround is what I said above.
Thank you i understand... First time i ever saw that... A little annoying too...

You can always do the workaround it's there to protect you incase if u had a rogue app who wants to keep sending spam SMS when you dont know its happening. Could definitely cost you a lot of fees, especially if it was international texts

Same here. Hopefully whatever officer of Samsung made this decision dies painfully and they revert to their old less douchy tactics. Otherwise my money is going elsewhere.
looks like there is no root, without root Light flow doesn't work.

No worries, that can be turned off. Go to settings, security, and chnage some setting from "high" or "tough" or "advanced" (I forget what they called it) to "normal." Once I turned it on "normal" I didn't see that message pop up anymore.
I still need root access, though...
I got the message with security set to normal. The developer has since updated the app and the message no longer appears.

Tap 10

Has anyone received the "Tap 10" promotion on android pay yet? I've been patiently waiting.
Did you get the updated app? Once I updated I saw the promotion.
Lot of good it'll do... I went ahead and set up pay and have wanted to use it but nobody accepts it. Everywhere I go I ask and they all tell me no.

I got an update a few days back. I believe it's version 1.2.1. I'll just keep waiting patiently. I was just curious if it started rolling out.
I got it. My 1st tap counted. Unfortunately my next 2 didn't. Google is taking a look at it.

Cashiers have no idea about Android Pay. It works basically everywhere for me. It uses the same system as PayPass and so forth. Just look for this logo:

So did the card just show up or did it show up after you made a purchase?
The card just showed up for me.
That said, I'm only eligible for three songs, rather than songs and a Chromecast. Has anyone else experienced this? My only thought is that I'm getting a lesser offer because I took advantage of the best Buy gift card offer previously.

I really think it's random. I already own a Chromecast and I used the Best Buy gift card as well, and I'm eligible for a Chromecast.
Google fixed my issue, whatever it was. Woke up this morning and saw where yesterday's transactions counted.

Did you just give feedback in the app? Or who did you contact?
