Is there anyway to Run Repencis 3.5 with Merruk kernel??
Think,it is not possible,But giving a try.
Anyone help me.
Actually,I was on Creeds rom v3.5 but when i flashed merruk kernel SU Stopped working and i tried many times but nothing helped.so I am currently on Stock rom.:crying:
Yes. Its possible. But why do you want to install Merruk kernel when you have more than awesome Repencis 3.5 kernel in repencis 3.5 ROM? Merruk kernel is outdated and repencis is among the best kernels out now.
Anyways, if you want to install, you need to flash merruk kernel after flashing repencis 3.5 ROM. You must make sure 99complete script file is present in the init.d folder (system/etc/init.d)
Merruk kernel has these bugs btw: (reason for your fc in creeds 3.5)
1) SuperSU doesnt work well. Only superuser works.
2) You need to mount system everytime you flash a zip (mounts and storage and click mount system)
3) Busybox is bugged.
One more thing. Next time, Ask your queries at the FAQ sticky thread. This way we can reduce spam in this forum. I may have helped this time but I wont next time.

is there any way to use the repencis v3.5 kernel in creed 3.5 .. on another note repencis 3.5 seems to be the only rom i can get sound out of my headphones ive read somewhere that i need to be on 2.3.6 but nothing i do i cant seem to update even did a nandroid backup of a friend phone restored it and still no sound from headphones at this point im stuck can someone help

i dont know how to use flashtool/firmwares..the reason i want to know because i have a custom rom repencis and i want to try new kernel that compatible with repencis
for example;
Custom rom:Repencis Advance or ussrv5
Kernel:Ussrv5 or kuro kernel

U should have searched before posting this.check out the threads in development forumn u have savie kernel, white kernel, merruk kernel, kuro kernel and 3 more kernels.developer has provided good instructions how to flash it via various methods like odin or cwm.also ussr versions upto v6 is having repencis kernel.try something else for a chnge.i recommend kuro kernel.

There are different ways to flash a custom kernel
Kuro Kernel come as a CWM flashable zip
The savies kernel comes with aroma installer
While merruk technolgies can be flashed by odin or by using kernel updater zip via CWM
odin flash method(select the kernel as PDA) and kernel updater zip can be used in all kernels by extracting boot.img from the zips
Odin method flash the boot.img as PDA
Kernel updater place boot.img in root of sd card and flash the kernel updater zip

hey guys i am using repencis rom 3.5 on my galaxy y........its amazing nd stuff but wen i used to use my stock rom i had overclocked my phone and also increased internal memory space using link2sd.....these two things i'm not able to do on this repencis rom 3.5 as the phone hangs during process when i follow the standard procedure for overclock nd increase memory space...plssssss help i'm confused

I am very sorry to inform you that Repensis Kernel doesn't support overclocking. If you want an overclock kernel, try Merruk Technology Kernel V2.5. Else, flash Savie's Kernel and overclock it the way you did so. Merruk kernel v2.5 is already overclock to 1.2 GHz. You don't need to flash overclock zip again. But Savie kernel is not yet overclock. You need to flash the overclock zip file to overclock it to 900MHz. Only Stock kernel, merruk kernel and savie kernel supports overclocking till date of all the available kernels for Galaxy Y. Always keep in mind that overclocking drains the battery and heats up the phone which can cause damage to your handset. Just reflash Repensis Rom v3.5 via Clockwork Mode Recovery or via Stock Recovery. As to Link2sd, first partition you sdcard as primary in ext2 format. When link2sd ask you to choose the format, select ext4(very important) and then reboot you phone.

I use now Evo-x2.1, its minimalistic, and use a custom kernel, like Whitexp kernel, and put on powersaving governor 156mhz - 832mhz.
Repencis 3.5 advanced rom and once installed flash the new repencis kernel - fully working no bugs

i want to try to flash repencisv3.5 rom , but i already in stock rom without any kernel,i failed to install it, it says installtion abordted. make me cry ><
so i try to extract the file in my computer,and the i found it the file had break,i download it from the official repencis post,try 4-5 times already,also fail.
Any solution? =]

Use jellyblady v3 the best rom for sgy ever and it has a custom kernel (kuro kernel) it saves battery and has 3g tweaks

Yes. it can be fix. Go to HYPERION 7 GM's Thread scroll down and find the troubleshooting guide for wifi and network fix.

i encountered your problem and found out my error :
-must be ROOT
-PARTITION SD CARD (optional)
-install ROM's via CWM
-download again the .zip rom
Questions :
1. Did u use CWM ?
You should PM the CONTRIBUTORS/THEMERS/ETC.. about your problem.

I should prefer STOCK DEODEXED ROM -more customizable
then if you want to make FREE SPACE IN INTERNAL you should download ROMODEXER

i keep bricking m a phone... I could overclock when i had overclockd ma phone in gingerbread(2.3.6) to 900MHZ... but now i can't overclock in Jellyblast 3.0.4...!!! Will someone plse help me...!!! i knw about the meruk kernel 2.5 to ovrclock it to 1.2Ghz .... but other than that is there any way in Jellyblast??? Which is better meruk kernel 2.5 or Jellyblast 3.04??

it seems u are a bit confused bro.merruk is a kernel while jellyblast is a whole rom along with kuro kernel.Ans yah till now the only way to overclock is to flash merruk kernel.
And plz search before posting.Thanks

based on my friend experience (i dont know whether he is wrong)
my friend tried to install JB 3.4 (last OTA) on his merruk and bootloop occured
so he stay at 3.03..

i'm using jellyblast 3.0.4 rom with merruk kernel 2.5 and I think this is very fast and stable :good: but a lot of battery drain....:crying:

Hello Mr. Repencis, and congratulations for your work.
I used Repencis V3 pro rom for more than a year, and i was always satisfied. I chose it because it was the one that took up less ram than any other I've tried and also because it had amazing graphics and cool features (eg a2sd support).
I recently installed version 3.5 found on another website, because here all the links are broken and I was surprised by the amazing graphics and low memory usage.
The new kernel also supports scaling of the CPU, but is not really complete regarding available frequencies and governor.
So i'd like to install kernel 7 final or at least 6.3 because most complete functions and scaling governor available, but absolutely does not want to work.
I tried to install it on your rom and also in other roms (jellyblast and hyperion) but i had no success (bootloop or locked at samsung screen).
However I successfully tested kernel USSR (also supports a2sd) and also Savie kernel (fabulous for the cpu, but no a2sd support). Both works in repencis 3.5 rom and on Hyperion 8.
Now.. Can you give me a hand on how to install your kernel and, above all, can you give me a link that is safe? Your kernel has the perfect features that I want, but it seems i was completely unable to make it working.
I also tried the version 6.3 of the kernel without success.
I came to see the boot image and then reboot loop.

Now i want to correct max frequancies but supersu doesn't work anymore. It seems a well known problem with merruk kernel.
I installed superuser and removed supersu and it seems ok!
I was interested in repencis kernel because i like to use as2d and i have only found Repencis and ussr kernel support a2sd.
But then i understood that a2sd have a problem preventing deep sleep mode. So maybe i need to convinc myself to use link2sd.
P.S. What do you think about savie kernel? Don't you think is better than hells?
PPS where can i find latest hells kernel?

Both Davies and hells are quite complete and stable. Hells kernel can be found in the galaxy y's android development section. A search wouldn't harm I guess
