Been holding off on that AT&T Samsung Galaxy S III purchase because you like the sound of that red version that the carrier announced last month? Your wait is almost over, as AT&T announced today that the Garnet Red Galaxy S III will be available for pre-order both online and in stores on July 15. Interested customers will be able to buy the device in AT&T stores starting July 29. AT&T offers the 16GB Galaxy S III for $199.99 with a two-year contract.
While the Galaxy S III has the same overall design on every U.S. operator, AT&T is the only carrier that's offering the device in red. It's not clear (and may not ever be) how AT&T managed to get its hands on a special color of the GSIII, but all that customers need to know is that the phone is just a couple of weeks away from hitting store shelves. Judging from the images that've been released by AT&T so far, the red Galaxy S III is looking pretty good, and it'll be a nice option for anyone that's not totally digging the standard Pebble Blue or Marble White Galaxy S IIIs. Would have been nice to have (I'm a fan of red and I'm getting a red-highlight case), but I'll stick with my blue one. If I need to replace it for some reason (Like being a dope and dropping it or bricking it) I'll try to get a red replacement. BUT I'd prefer not to have to go through those headaches just for a nice color.
I pre-ordered mine on sunday. I stayed strong and waited for the red.

P.S. if your looking to get the Samsung Cover Case it replaces the back and it only comes in pebble blue from what I've seen. Blue back with red front, not appealing...

its not the titanium color either but whatever it is it looks sexy, have you notice the keys? they are different colors too and the quick keys are also different they look the same as the dezire z but this cant be the desire z because it has three quick keys and desire has only 2
and who knows maybe this one wont have the loose hinge lol, i dont personally care about the hinge, but it would be nice if this one comes with tight hinges.

It is indeed darker in those pics. Those are the prototype images you are seeing. As far as I know there are no other colors available on the market.

I had the black G1 and I got a little tried of seeing it everyday for 2 years. So this titanium color is a welcome change for me. Thats why I bought a clear case instead of a black case. Now my wifes HD7 looks good in black. Overall the color isnt the most important. Im just glad the phone doesnt have the physical "Call" "Home" buttons. I was hoping HTC would have done away with the physical buttons and they did.

obviously when the time came closer to release, HTC decided to go with the color we have not, IMO it looks better than black.
HTC vanguard and it was the original z hinge.. pretty sure T-Mobile will never release it. Check eBay

I'm sure with over 8 billion people on earth that a black G2 exists somewhere, maybe India. One thing to consider, from what I've read in the tabloids, (or movies), people over there are either very wealthy and powerful or they are still living like; well; indians! I think it would be selfish of us to think that we have the one and only G2 (color, that is).

Case color offerings seem to be all the rage these past few weeks, with several phones leaking the idea that their battery covers, back cases, and entire cases would be offered in more than just black. The power button and the volume rocker (Im assuming) is white as well. I will be grabbing one as well as soon as it becomes available.

Not a fan of white phones but it would look better if the whole phone was white.
I noticed that white version is showing on Best Buys site now. Still shows as not available, but its probably coming soon. Anyone gonna swap out their blue for the white? I was originally planning on it, but after going through several just to find a good one I dont want to go through that again. Not to mention the dirt issue with the white. I wouldn't recommend getting the white. Without fail, white electronics tend to oxidize over time and turn a slight yellow.

i just got back from exchanging mine... it's not really in stock at any of the bb around my area, so i had them order it and ship it to my house... the dock shows oos in their system [just like online], so i will have to get that at a later date...

I really like it. I hated the mock-ups from a few months ago but this thing definitely looks beautiful. Still prefer my raw aluminum look, but this is very nice.

Well the pics (drawings) on the Verizon site do look black, however, the video which shows the device complete with Verizon tramp stamp is most definitely midnight blue. I hope it's black, but knowing VZW there probably just stupid or f'ing with us, probably both.

I think this is the midnight blue N6, just like the leaked screen shots on Phandroid indicated. The face is black, that is why Verizon is calling it black.

I agree, but I don't think there is a special black N6 for Verizon when the internal documents call it midnight blue and if you look at the video on Verizon's site, you can see the blue in the metal frame.
All the pictures posted on their website show a distinct black along with the VZ logo. The video was put together some time ago and for a short while was in the wild before they clamped it down. I'd say they changed to the distinctive color and was using available promo shots occasionally that were blue. It's not unheard of for vendors to provide unique color combos for the big carriers.
What's up with the 32gb only...pisses me off. Since I'm having terrible luck ordering from Moto I was glad to see it finally going to be in a store near me...I'd say if it is black, it would be sweet...little Slick Wraps black carbon to cover the tramp stamp and I'd be set...but 32gb might be a deal breaker.

Good point. While I doubt Verizon cares enough about this phone to offer a special color, it would be a smart move on their part, makes it more attractive to fickle consumers on the fence about a phone that is arriving way late to the party. Plus I would like it!

Well I'm glad to see that the actual pricing for edge did nto match up to the leaks, which would have us all paying the total cost of a 64Gb model when getting the 32 ...
32 is not a deal breaker for me (but heck yeah, it would have been sweet to get the 64, GPM, files on drive and other cloud storage, and on my GNex for the last 3 years I've only used about half of that 32 available.
If actually black, that would make up for the wait, hopefully whether or not the color, the logo can be rubbed of aka ATT''s ...
