Of you want rotating touchwiz, just install this app and set it in forced auto:

Carefully crafted on my Galaxy Note, for your eyes only

It does. Thats interesting, just tried it

Thanks for the info, that's a nice feature! What are your overall thought on the app? Is it worth it and truly user friendly/stable? I've been watching this app with a lot of interest and think it may be time to shell out for it.

very smooth and fluid, better than the go launcher. Very good find.
Thnx a lot

I have a samsung car dock, and two things happen when I plug it in: SVoice pops up (on Kingdroid) and TW goes landscape after some applications (messing up with lock pattern not being visible).

I can fully recommend this app. It can lock the screen in the position you like. And it comes with a nice feature to preselect the rotation for certain apps. For example auto rotate for the camera.

Problem with wallpapers when I switch the tablet in horizontal mode (pictures include

Hi,
I'm new to the forum and I was thinking that it would the best place to ask people's about my problem, hope you can help guys.
If I go straight to the point , when I switch my tablet from portrait to horizontal half the screen shows the wallpaper and the other half is black.
I have auto rotation on and when I browse the web or YouTube I don't get that problem.
What do you think it could be?
I attached 2 pictures to show what happen, and also the same thing happen even with the stock Google wallpapers that came with the tablet.
I appreciate your help guys.

Are you using the stock launcher or did you install one?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
I use the stock launcher and in fact when I use a live wallpaper is all fine.
But when I use a regular wallpaper it gets problematic, even with the stock jelly bean wallpapers.
It seems like a display problem, but there's no setting for that on the tablet.

JB 4.1.2 in phablet mode

- Change dpi in build.prop to 213
- in per app setting , config each app like this

setting and google play are optional but I like tablet layout so I set dpi to 160.
All miniapp work, most of samsung app work (I haven't test it all yet only app that I use.)
If there is any app that doesn't work , you can try changing screen to 800x1280 or check xlarge res to see which one work.
Font for Clock is too large , really can't find how to reduce it.
Definitely useful for some. Nice !

nice... i have been tinkering the setting as well... great finding... ^_^
I am sorry but what is this for?

Looks good apart from that cut with the clock. I'm sure it can be fixed easily tho

Tried with dpi apps.. And chance the density into 213...
All samsung apps was crashed.. And the print screen button was gone.. Had to restore it back to normal..
But my clock was just fine... Not cut like the op sample..

Lg features for custom ROMs

I'm contemplating flashing a ROM, but I was wondering, do they still have the lg features, like knockon and the quick remote?

I got the latest CM11 Nightly and knock-on works, knock-off doesn't. This can be fixed with nova launcher and screen off and lock though.
The IR remote isn't included in the nightlies but it can be downloaded as a flashable .zip file, I haven't got around installing it yet though.
Where did you find quick remote?

I'm using Paranoid Android and Quick remote works fine.
As for knock off that doesnt work, Knock on does. I worked around and got my own kind of Knock off.
What I did was I installed Desktop VisualiZer, Screen off and Lock, and a transparent image.
Add a Desktop VisualiZer widget where ever you'd like, Select the Transparent image as the icon, select the Screen off app (not the Screen Off and Lock config app) as the 'Action', and last remove the name for the widget. and you're done!
Here is where I have my 'Knock off' shortcut. I just double tap (or one tap) and the screen will turn off

Action Launcher 2 was so amazing. Then the developer decided to charge for Action Launcher 3 which was released a month later while removing the features I liked best. What can you do? Anyhow, this is as minimal as I can get it while being completely functional.

Ok I installed the version currently available on samobile.. it worked!! Now if I wanted to revert to my s6 version of touchwiz I thought I could choose the option to uninstall updates under apps??
Uninstall updates isn't a button as you can see?!

I know you're looking for previous versions of the Samsung keyboard but there are far better ones available.
The best one overall is Gboard (Google keyboard). Gives shortcut straight to Google search, allows a moderate amount of customization (themes) and allows slide typing.
Swiftkey and Flesky are two other ones that are pretty close, Flesky has some serious perks in terms of screen estate and theming (you can customize the look to virtually anything you desire). Both of these are free as well.
