Thought I'd share.

Thanks for the news, so how long usually google release JB source code to the public?

I've heard a few weeks.

Android 4.1 source code released today in Android Open Source Project https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/android-building/XBYeD-bhk1o

Some cm10 soon enough.
Look forward to jelly bean!

Not sure how I feel about the lack of Flash support for JB.

Free Nexus 7 Guidebook from Play Store says, Chapter 1, Jelly Bean tips, Other improvements, Chrome:
If you need Flash, download the Browser from the Google Play Store app.
Sounds to me like the stock ICS browser can be downloaded. Though Flash will not being available on Play after August 15. So best to do this quick.

Android 4.0.4

http://www.xda-developers.com/android/4-0-4-hits-aosp-eight-month-cycle-begins-but-not-for-us/
Just when 4.0.3 drops, we are old news again lol
yeah saw that but im sure we will get it at some point or should i hope
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using XDA Premium HD app
I saw that this afternoon too. But in the Engadget article he says they are pushing out to the git repos. What I found interesting was that Xoom got a taste of 4.0.4 today.
http://m.engadget.com/default/class...n-this-time-over-at-aosp/&icid=eng_latest_art
I was just about this post this! If xoom gets an update i am sure we tf101 users will also get one. Also Asus is still debugging the random reboots if we may believe grag
I thought part of the point of using version control systems and such (like git) was that it makes source updates quicker and easier to merge into existing stuff?
Will it be a lengthy process for existing AOSP ROMs to be updated to 4.0.4? I'm trying to avoid asking for an ETA, just wanna know, in the scheme of things, how much (or little) trouble it's going to be for those lovely devs.
if you are running AOKP then you shall have an update soon.

Who cares what Asus delivers at this point? We have AOKP now, and that is a million times better.
I'm sure we will have 4.0.4 via AOKP within a week. I already have it on my Galaxy Nexus

On my Galaxy Nexus there is a world of difference between former 4.0.3-based AOKP build and the current 4.0.4-based build. A. world. of. difference. Performance and smoothness is maddening.
Deep inside I know I'm being overly optimistic, but if we can any sort of improvement like that on our TF101s as well, I wont regret not waiting for the prime

What reboot problems? ASUS have not released official 4.0.4.
4.0.4 is in AOSP repo so only custom ROMs for TF101 will have 4.0.4 until ASUS releases a OTA.

I know I know. Like I said: I'm running it on my Nexus (updated that first) and there is a world of difference in performance between that and the former build.
Hoping for the same for my TF101
Well, i've been testing CM9 4.0.4 build for a day now, and i can't really tell the diference.
Even ran some benchs and the performance is about the same.
No reboots, but i never had then with CM9.
Maybe still work to be done.

4.1 Jelly Bean being pushed to AOSP right now!

This release will be tagged as android-4.1.1_r1 in AOSP. While the source is going live now, the full proprietary binaries for Google-blessed devices won't be rolled out until later. Google plans to directly support the Nexus 7, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S, and Xoom through AOSP. Be aware that the addition of the Jelly Bean code to AOSP doesn't mean any OTA updates are on the way. This just means anyone can download the full source to begin work.

If you want JB in a timely fashion and in a stable form, my guess is that you should not rely on Asus. Their ICS builds were bug-ridden to the point of driving me away.
Can't wait for some of the devs, maybe Paul Burton, the CM-team, AOKP-team etc to get hacking on this source.
I've read in the 3.1 kernel thread that rayman33 is working on JB. So hopefully he will succeed and we will see a JB ROM soon

All, you know, I will start working on a JellyBean (ProjectButter) - AOSP build as soon as Team Douche (CM9) update their repos.
The SDK port is giving me too much errors, bugs and overall hassle to be worth working on.
Will check the repo the next days for update.
JellyBean on it's way.
Currently fixing up ramdisk as a pre-condition to make the rom boot later.
If the devs are willing to, I might collaborate with guevor (kernel work), sidneyk (ramdisk assist) and sportsstar89/ricardopvz/Roach2010 or any other AOSP-ROM developer or maintainer.
I might just ask them when the source drops.

Latest CM10 nightlies already use the source which they got leaked.
does it mean CM can incorporate FM radio in the rom since the source is out?
Why does everyone assume the CM10 team now can perform magic just because the kernel sources are out? Do remember that Exynos is still undocumented and CM10 will never (not even when hell freezes over) be 100% perfect. Though, it's perfect enough already to permanently ditch touchwiz.
They should put more energy in to releasing jellybean to use all now this is released
CM team already had these sources so it doesnt add anything to cm10.

PA is building toward 4.2, but is a kludge of 4.1.2, and 4.2. Since they are concentrating on specific devices and not paying much attention to other devices, such as the TP, they are merging in a way that breaks other devices. At the moment, our build is broken because some 4.2 merge didn't pay attention to other device commits.
