[Q] Android Development Nexus 7 Skin - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I finally beat the emulator into submission - at least to the extent of Frozen Bubbles working from source. I don't think it will ever work on Vista...
Now I would like it to look like the Nexus 7 - anyone done a skin for the emulator yet?
Note: the built-in skin is WXGA800-7in.

I using:
1. WAD
2. WAD desktop
3. iphone today
In this way the top bar webos style is always present!
Updated preview
It looks fantastic. Great job. Are you going to make a VGA-Version?
I don't think it would be that complicated. The PalmPre's homescreen is basically a big TaskManager. We already have "similar" apps on Windows Mobile like that on the Xperia. Just make a homescreen plugin with a large task manager like interface with the same touch gestures as the Pre. The complicated part I would imagine would be the menu.
I like your skins, but it would be best as a simple homescreen plugin. Using WAD and the likes eats up memory and the way it overlays sucks.
I'm not a programmer but there are lots of open-source projects that, if combined, could provide roughly the same effect. I think someone with some know-how could come up with it pretty quick by reusing code that is already available out there.

Before starting this project I tried a lot but none of the programmers built an interface palm webos like for WM. There are iphone, android, and other but webos not so I decided to build it yourself.
I hope very much that any programmer to engage in this project and does a better job of mine!

Looking good. Here's my little take on it. Using a modded PointUi
Slightly off-topic tip: I suggest Omnia users should use PointUi 2.0.28e if they want their phone/clock to function poperly. Any other higher version causes the clock to stick and (possibly) corrupt the green button.
subscribed!
hopefully vga support soon
WOW super nice. very clean. hope the release will be soon definately going to donate for this
WOW nice man, ill use this when it comes out. is this another wad theme?

Windows Phone 7 Home Replacement?

Does anyone know if there is a theme/home replacement app that emulates Windows Phone 7 already out or in development?
Window 7 for android

https://market.android.com/details?id=info.tikuwarez.launcher3&feature=search_result
"Launcher 7" might be the one you are searching for. It's in the market.
Much fun!
"Launcher 7" is an amazing homescreen/launcher replacement app. Although it is still in early development, it actually functions like WP7, with slick animations, next to zero battery drain, and a developer that will answer your emails. The dev claims its an Alpha release stage, but the app is fully useable right now. Search for 'Launcher 7' in the market.
have to agree with launcher 7. its amazin. needs few improvements though but workin fine at the moment (far better than rest of WP7 like launchers)
It's cool, don't think this will replace ADW EX though

I agree, it took me nearly forever to figure out Metro UI Lite. I like Launcher 7 coz it's FREE and you can apply custom icons to the tiles you add to the homescreen. (Most of which can be found on Deviantart, and a few posts within XDA) Though i can't see this being my favorite next to ADW Ex

Fusion Garage's new Grid 10 Tab

Not sure if anyone has seen this, but it is really really nice. I like the look and feel of it.
Fusion Garage says that the Grid OS was built using Android code, so I was wondering if it could be ported to our TF once it's released. We'd use some features, like the integration with the Grid phone, but that's fine, and since that is also based off of Android, maybe it can be ported to phones as well. I think it'll be a great addition to our trusty TF and just be another reason why our tablet is the best.
Watch it here It's a little laggy in the video, but that's probably a pre-production model..
Ehhh, I'll stick with Android for now.
At least it appears to be better than their last effort.

I thought it'd be a nice idea. Now that I think about it, this OS would look great for a media center.
it seems like all they did was implement a launcher and apps. dunno why they needed to create a completely new OS to do that.

Although I would nvr buy a joojoo 2 the grid os seems cool, would be nice if someone made a launcher replacement versus porting the whole thing as it is not based off of honeycomb
read through the entire engadget post. apparently grid is based off of android and can run android apps there is just no access to the android market you have to use the amazon one or sideload them.
"The OS also has Dalvik virtual machine built in, so all of your favorite Android apps will work on the Grid 10 and Grid 4, but there's no access to the Android Market and it doesn't come with Android's normal bunch of Google goodies -- you'll have to go to Amazon or elsewhere for applications. I just want the half screen multitasking window for the browser..

That's why I thought it would be a nice OS to port. I'm sure some dev could give it market support like they did on the GTab which doesn't natively have android market.
But sure, if someone could remake/port the launcher to us and the multiscreen browser it'd be nice. I really like the launcher on it. The "clusters" is meh, but the design and way you move around is a nice change.
looks nice and smooth to me. I like it.
And i respect them keeping their chin up and admitting their last disaster.
Fusion Garage
I read somewhere that not only is the Fusion Garge OS built on Android, it is using some sort of java interface as well.
I think the interface is clean and I like the specialty features . . . the volume control, and a few other options . . . I know it isn't much . . . just saying . . . you know?

[2/2012] [Theme] Windows Phone 7 Full Themeout

Hey guys!
Recently I've been using my PerfectPeso rom on my internal memory, and I've tweaked it to look like MIUI.
On my 16gb sdcard, I managed to install CyanogenMod7 6.5.8 and I tweaked it to look VERY Windows Phone 7 like.
Apps/Themes used:
Launcher 7 Donate
Messaging Metro Beta (Donated)
Smart Keyboard Pro (with WP7 Dark theme)
WP7Phone
WP7Contacts
WP7Mail
StatusBar+ Full
Windows Phone 7 MDPI (T-Mobile Theme Engine Theme)
WP7Lock Pro
ZPlayer
Evi (Looks kinda like TellMe)
Screenshots to be posted soon.
-Carlisle
P. S. If anyone can help with getting the Windows Phone bootanimation ported to MDPI screen, it would be a great help and if possible, with black background and green WP7 icon and white text
i have posted something like this before. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437605
please do not steal people's posts
Errrmmm. I didn't steal the post/thread. I was making my own entirely different one. <_>

Theme source?

So, I searched the general sub-forum and a standard google search didn't quite yield what appear to be reliable resources. I have a great black theme for W7 and obviously it doesn't quite work for W8. Thank-you again Microsoft for giving us the shaft. Now, as I hate browsing my computer and being blinded by the whiteness, I would like a working theme that isn't pink fluffy bunnies for efing flowers.
So, does anyone know of a good resource for W8 themes? Deviant art doesn't appear to have anything yet.
The OS came out just over a week ago. Somebody should come out with something soon enough.

Did you already look through these?
Here's is a very plain, black Windows 8 theme.
OK, since describing what I'm looking for isn't clear I am including a screenshot of my Windows 7 theme which doesn't function on Win 8, it only changes the color and doesn't touch the window background:
