The new froyd1.1.0

I urge everyone to try it it feels completely different to any of the other froyo roms

What is so different?
The same "bugs" that are in any Froyo ROM (camera, random reboots, blabla) are in that ROM as well.
It's probably the same speed as all the others as well (which is pretty good actually).

Why is everyone on here so rude I was merely pointing out the random slow downs etc aren't present in this one. Apologies if I'm in the wrong place please move mods. Just because I have sent enough messages to not be a "noob" that doesn't not make me a "noob" I'm on the xda app which is different to the net hence why I've ended up in the wrong place

It should be faster, as ninpo, being a genius, has fixed the AOSP bug that's been plaguing all vanilla ROMs, so there should be decent performance in 3D games that involve the touchscreen now.
Also, it's totally rebuilt from source and some linking errors in previous builds have been fixed.

I get bored of people posting in the wrong place! it is not difficult to understand, this thread was started to praise a ROM, and has nothing to do with ROM development.
It clutters up the DEV section so you miss important threads.
If you dont like my attitude, well, then, i guess I will cope....

No, this is a DEV section, you want the General section, which can be found here:

[Q] Any Chance ?

Any Chance for a MIUI super Ram build ?
You should better ask the mod or PM them. only them can answer your question. Especially DarkStone.
did you really have to post a whole new thread about this.... especially in development....... please read the forum rules and abide by them

We would if it was his first post... And not even then probably. But rules are rules, and we can't have everyone posting questions in here, cause giving a break to one guy = giving a break to everyone... Plus its annoying. Very much so.
I try to follow the rules => others should too.
Its just a question, I always see them pop up from time to time in new threads. I had a question for darkstone and or mdeejay or any of the other talented and great developers and really didn't want to bother them all by PMing them. So I don't see any harm im doing by starting a new thread . Im sure there are others wondering the same thing im asking. I just figure , a miui build is fast as is, but if darkstone or mdeejay would be kind enough or have the time to make a super ram miui build I think I might be the fastest build yet.
Darkstone, mdeejay and other great developers. Thank you for what you do. Hd2 would not be a great phone without any of you.

To add.
The chance to get a faster answer its better to ask in the proper threads.
And most of the members are willing to reach out and help.
No flaming from my part but I agree its a simple fact a useless thread stays useless.
On-topic.
Ask in 1 of the threads where there is more action on this.
You be amazed how fast you will have your answer.
Have a nice day.
Greetz.

Why not post in that ROM's thread? That way a whole lot of people who are also using that ROM are guaranteed to see it.

I would assume everyone has that problem. But since it's still in beta, I'm sure live wallpapers working is at the bottom of the "to do list" for the ROM.

Because im a new user and cant post.in dev threads till i get 10 posts /; and yea after revisiting the thread i can see that everyones having this problem with the static wallpapers
Lol just keep in mind that Creamed Glacier is still in Beta. There WILL be bugs. If you find a bug, chances are, others have found it too.

yea i know! i was just hoping to help identify a minor bug here since i couldnt post on the official dev thread till i get 10 posts!
I have been using this rom a bit. Since the static wallpaper isn't working I switched to ADW launcher and am just using a live wallpaper since it runs it smoother than Trebuchet. I am sure that it will be fixed in the next update
Probably because the OP directly states to use the Q&A section for queries, since this is a DEV ROM. That ROMs thread is mainly for users who can point out bugs by submitting logcats and other useful info. That's why it was closed once already, because users where getting off topic of development by asking questions like this. This is the perfect place to ask this question....it is the Q&A section.

And for good reason .. That's for the Nexus One not for our device, I've actually been working on porting that one but have had no luck so far...
Edit: Asking that dev for some assistance, will report back.
thanks for clarifying.. the way I read it Any cm9 based rom could run it. Please keep me posted on any progress

That was a unique request by that particular dev because that ROM was in an unusually early stage of development. Normally questions are more than welcome in ROM threads.

How Do I get ICS on My Mytouch 4g?

Well I Just rooted my mytouch 4g and i was wondering how do i get the best Ice cream sandwich install on my phone
There's only one rom and its the one in the dev section. Flash it and read before posting. Also, if you ask about the camera I may have to kill you.

I wouldn't recommend an ics rom yet unless you have no need for a camera our video camera. I don't believe flash is working right either. I may be wrong about that though. I would suggest unity, Cm7, our miui for rooms to try out until a solid release of ics is available.

I believe most of those who are now answering questions, actually could read and search and weren't lazy enough to skip those parts.
And "everyone is leaving this forum" is a bland, non-backed-up-by-anything, and most probably wrong assumption.

This forum is a resource, not a help line..you don't call up the folks at wikipedia and go "quick, i have a report due, tell me what happened in ww2!"
They did the research to help narrow your information search to a single forum, the last you can do is understand that unless you are developing new applications or roms or working on a brand new device that your question has already been asked and the onus is on you to actually read the encyclopedia and to write your own report..no one is going to write your report for you, especially not the editors of the encyclopedia..it is gracious that some of these questions even get replies, even if they are flaming you for asking without searching..imo fwiw

Yes, but not for the same questions to be posted and answered over aand over. Cluttering the forum. That's what the search functions is there for. For when you have already exhausted all your search resources and found nothing, then you ask for help.

At least SAY 'I've looked everywhere! Can you point me to an answer for...' Even if you haven't looked, at least pretend to know how to use a search bar..these things have been around for over a decade lmao you might get help for a dumb question and not get flamed if you at least lie and say you searched
Also, no one likes dumb people or dumb questions, it isn't a trait unique to developers on xda, even though I've encountered my share of smart asses, the fount of knowledge here far exceeds any petty squabble i might get into..if something like that makes you leave the site then it's more your loss than xda's, you are really only useful to the community if you can debug or develop, they are doing us a favor by letting us muggles into their world of fairy dust and unicorns lmao

rom recommendations?

i've been using LiquidSmooth for a few months and love it....except for one problem... ASOP doesn't play well with the Sprint network. before that Triforce was my driver
I've been trying to get my APN working on this "Echo" s5 port, but ive never had any luck changing these settings (help me!)
I really love the look/feel/options that come from ASOP roms, but apparently I need to go back to an ugly Touchwiz rom in order to reliably connect to sprint's towers (PRL/Profile updates)
So what do you all recommend in terms of stability and tweak-ability (xposed, etc)
right now im looking at NegaLite and Sac's
+1 for Nega. Super stable and devs his own kernel.

This should be in the Q&A section, but to answer you, both Nega & Sacs are impressive, Nega is more inverted however, I believe you can get the stock theme for it however, Sacs to me has more tweaks from multiple galaxy devices, but thats V6, the recent NG2 is still being updated.
Thank you both for your input. Nega seems good so far so i'll just stick with that until Sac has a chance to update. Parkourkid93, care to elaborate on what Sac used from other Galaxy devices? I'm quite jealous of ultra power save.
