i'm glad it still works but have to say i'm just stunned that google wallet does not accept a variety of credit cards. citi mastercard or loading up a google gift card seem beyond ridiculous to only have these two options

XDA Keeps Force Closing

My app keeps force closing, I'm running stock. When I open the app it lets me search then Fc. Any ideas?

I've seen threads about this before. Search will find them but people say to either install Tapatalk itself or buy the premium app as they keep it more up to date than the free app.
Free version has lost of FC. As tekkitan said either use the website or get the premium version or tapatalk

Neither of these are acceptable. XDA should pay as much attention to the free version as much as the paid version. Period. It is crooked of them to ignore the paid version....and I am sure as hell not going to install that tapatalk crud.
Oh I agree, it seems a bit dodgy to have a free app that doesnt work with the solution as 'pay for it to make it work' but thats the case at the moment.

Not sure what you mean when you say this, because the XDA app is just a crippled Tapatalk with a single forum.

Tapatalk is pretty good IMO, apart from the search function, which sucks, but in general the app is preferable to using the website on the TF.

XDA app IS a subset of tapatalk. it's as "crudy" as the xda app. except tapatalk can support more forums.

I'd love to buy it but the greedy buggers at google have pulled all paid apps in Taiwan as a sneaky little blackmail attempt against the Taiwanese government. The local law here states that all consumers must have a 7 day money back guarantee if unsatisfied with a product, google offers 15 mins and refuse to budge so now have a huge fine to pay and we have no apps to buy.
I'd glady pay a $1.49 for it. This site has sorted out so many issues for me in the last month alone for it to be worth it
I think it's ridiculous to pay for an app to access a webpage that you can use perfectly fine for free in a browser. I found that none of these forums work well with the stock browser, but once I downloaded dolphin I find that the forums work fine, and I don't have to pay for any apps, or clutter up my device with an app that has no real use beyond what the browser already does.

How to download apps outside the US

If you would like to download apps from the Amazon Market outside the US you need a Credit Card Number.
Paypal offers some CC-numbers for free: xxx.paypalobjects.com/en_US/vhelp/paypalmanager_help/credit_card_numbers.htm
use www instead of xxx!
Add one Number with an US-Adress to your Amazon Account and enjoy
This works also for the free app of the day!
I am using one of these "test credit card numbers" with my kindle fire in Austria and I can download free apps and the "free app of the day"!
Okay guys.
Thread cleaned, nothing wrong with it,and its completely safe.
Its a well known solution, its just not working always. But its not against rules

did you change your address to USA?
Use hotspot shield to set up or log into your usa account.
Use US address and the previous links usa card info, make this card your default one click purchase.
It works.
Worked for me, too.
Just choosing one of my US previous delivery addresses as the billing address for one of the fake numbers of the first post, and setting this "new" card as the default for one-click did the trick for me.
Only thing that still doesn't work are the movies. I am a Prime subscriber and would *love* to use my free video library. I guess that requires a VPN, isn't it?
Best.
Felipe.
Worked for me!!!
Awesome Thanks a lot
Felipe, Yeah You need VPN...It won't work with US credit card & Address
I had seen this before but was scared off by warnings of Amazon zapping my account. Lack of those warnings here made me give it a go (totally illogical I know) and it worked perfectly.

Verizon need to stick there little fingers up there own asses. And leave there customers phones alone.. the only reason I stay with Verizon. Because the service rocks. And as a truck driver. They where very supported to me when my phone broke out on the road.. pulled into verizon store. Switched right out for me. No over night shipping.. that is what I call service.. one of there sales reps met me at a truck stop one time. Just for me to switch out phone.

Good bye Kindle Fire.

Hey guys. Ahh the Kindle Fire. My first android tablet and obviously not my last it did me so good but now I'm gonna have to give it to my dad I just bought myself a nexus 7. I have to admit you guys made that old piece of s*** amazon firmware into something I never thought could work. you made that kindle into something that I never thought it could be but still I have to admit the nexus 7 is just so much better and I'll probably still be here but I'm gonna be over the nexus seven forums more. Thank you guys so much you have helped show me just why android triumphs over iOS.

People are just too paranoid about this kind of crap. So they collect information and target ads based on your interests. Would you prefer blind random ads?

If you are truly paranoid...you would not be on this board. I love my KF...and Android....and Google. Does @pple offer anything open source? You have to sign up for EVERYTHING nowadays, so how does one omit themselves from the data collection? Get off everything and live off the grid. I'd rather mull around and see what trouble I can cause, and devices I can root. I'm getting the N7 too...but my KF still has years of use in my household. All I have to do is leave it in plain sight, and people gravitate like monkies to bananers.

Uhhh.... Apple tracking fiasco? Are you talking about the one where Google circumvented Safari's privacy settings and was subsequently fined 4 million for?
Google is doing some scary stuff if u want to look at the privacy settings for Chrome extensions made by Google. I completely understand the viewpoint of wanting nothing to do with Google. I no longer use Gmail or Google Docs for this reason.
I'm willing to take some privacy risks because Android is better than iOS.
