Word on the street has it that T-Mobile’s branding has been seen on the SGH-T699 somewhere in the wild, where some have speculated that this is actually a T-Mobile variant of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Of course, this sort of speculation not too healthy at all, since what you see above reveals something very important – since the SGH-T699 comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard from the side, which is something the Galaxy Nexus does not have. It is further discovered that the SGH-T699 will come with a 5-megapixel camera at the back, in addition to a front-facing camera for all of your video call needs, in addition to an LED notification light that ought to come in handy, letting you know whether there is an incoming text message or email waiting for you to attend to it.
Apart from that, a User Agent Profile which was discovered just last month pointed out to a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 or S4 processor underneath the hood, with a display resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. No idea on the kind of tactile feedback that the QWERTY keyboard offers, but it does seem to shape up nicely from initial leaked shots.
T-Mobile-branded SGH-T699 spotted in the wild?

Well personally liked the software, I just thought their hardware sucked and yesterday I was living my life.... You should get one.

who wants a phone that cuts cheese anyway. and dead serious there are videos of the pre cutting cheese.... i tested it
I loved the software of my Pre, was just slow with small screen and hardware sucked. Sounds like all of those issues have been addressed. I may be giving it another try this summer.

If they'd released the Pre3 6 months ago, instead of 6 months from now, I'd still be using. The OS is far better than Android. But the Evo hardware blows Pre away. And now I'm hooked on apps not available on WebOS and which I'm unwilling to go without. Palm/HP are just too late to the game. I say this as a June 6, 2009, standing in line, Pre user.
Too little, too late.
Palm Pre3, 3x times the Palm crap. Pass!

SwiftKey X stats(and others!) (with pics!)

Thought it might be kind of cool to post your SwiftKey X stats page here to compare to others and such. And feel free to make update post in an effort to see how much you type a week or whatever. And mention on your first post how long you have been using the keyboard.
Mine are low as I just reset my stats earlier today hah.

Edit: post any keyboard with stats!
7775 characters,
2762 characters saved,
"35%" more efficient (although I think it saves you less cause of all the times it messes you up)
Seems better overall than slide it /swype though I'm not sure yet.

Btw how did you take the screen shot? All I can find is complicated methods that involve rooting.
I did it with miui, it's built in. I think you would have to be rooted though anyway you went about it.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk
there are no-root-required screenshot methods.
Edited op to include any keyboard with stats. Didn't want to alienate anyone

Thread reopened and moved to general upon request.
Thanks
Don't know how or why I ended up putting this in the dev thread, had every intention of putting it in general hah. oops!

Not bad for a few days typing. Efficiency remains the same however. Anyone know exactly what 'more efficient ' means?

Replacement Screen missing ribbon cable

WTF? I ordered a replacement screen off ebay, and it looks to be OEM, but it's missing a ribbon cable. Anyone know what this cable does and will the phone function normally if I use the replacement? I've hooked it up and the screen powers on, and appears to function normally, but I'm worried that something HAS to be missing because of the lack of connection. Here's the pic:

That is weird, It says Samsung so it must be OEM.
Is it not for the FFC or Proximity sensor ? thats the only thing in the top right corner i can imagine its for.
Unless its from a different variation of the Note, Like the US version or something, I know they differ in a few ways than ours.
Hmm when you purchased it did it mention model number or just galaxy note? Looks to me as a bad screen.

The model number mentioned was N7000 and i9220. It's not the USA version because the button layout is the same.
Have you tested auto brightness, screen response, multitouch recognition... Also, how much? Does this replacement exhibit the color rendering/black crush issue?

Any comments on the notification LED?

There is an LED at the bottom of the phone, but there is a dearth of photos showing how bright it is or whether it can emit various colors. Any other comments out there?
Wow if there was led notifications it would be the perfect phone.

I'm really interested about this feature ! If anyone have an information tell us!
Pretty sure it's a similar RBG LED as the Galaxy Nexus, you can see it's at the bottom of the phone below the screen. At the vert least we know it's there as the manual says it is!

Take it for what it's worth.
I think the GNex set the standard on this one, the ED will be a part of the bottom bezel.

2nd paragraph neat the bottom they state its RGB but I will look more.

I don't understand either clause above. Can you explain? Thanks...
I also read somewhere that it is indeed RGB. Thank god we have LightFlow

Bummer. I wish more people would center the FFC. Or at least angle the camera so you don't have to offset the phone while video chatting or taking pictures. The FFC on the Nexus 4 is all the way on the right.

Fingerprint to sign in to apps

My previous phone was the Galaxy S6 and it allowed me to use my fingerprint to sign in to apps.
My nexus 6p doesn't. Is there a setting I need to enable to get this feature?
Here's a picture from my wife's gs6

Here's a screenshot from my nexus 6p
Notice how her galaxy s6 has three option to sign in using her fingerprint but mine doesn't?
How do I get the nexus 6p to allow this?
Both phones are running game through most recent version of the bank of America app.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
Apps will have to be update to allow for nexus fingerprint. Samsung uses own proprietary app that BOA app was updated to work with. They will come eventually as more phones go to this method.
It says it right in the app description:
"Note: Fingerprint sign-in is currently only supported for select Samsung devices. We’ll be adding support for more devices in future releases."
Yea it sucks. Very slow adoption rate

Mostly because most still think it's a gimmick like 3d screens. Once it has been common place for a year or so you will see more adaption...if it lasts that long.
