Note 2 w/Flexible display 12mx camera - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

The latest 'peek'. True or not...I enjoy envisioning the possibilities.
Have heard of it for years, but having a hard time picturing the practical and aesthetic elements of a flexible screen.
Must research

Moved this thread from the Samsung Tab forum where it did not belong.
What is the use of these groups?
This is a dupe of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=774092&page=1
And I'll reiterate my thoughts from the other thread:
1)This thread is misleading. It ISN'T an official group. It's possibly even less official than this forum, and there is no reason to believe Samsung is in the group.
2) I STRONGLY feel it actually is a step backwards, because you must be part of the the group to even read threads. To me this seems to suggest it has a greater interest in boosting numbers than encouraging cooperation, and sharing of information.
3) The assumption being made that you can easily blend all the development streams of the Galaxy S variants together is a wrong assumption. Whilst the phones are similar, until developers get together to merge all the drivers into a single rom (to create a universal rom), each phone does need it's own development board.
In that case consider it Closed
Been away a while, but indeed this can be seen as a violation, the thread adds nothing to the information on XDA and is spammy in it's nature.

Galaxy Note 2 (stop making many threads )

Its getting a liitle annoying with everyone making threads with the same info....so from now on...let's getting all the rumors into one place....Cheers
Yet you opened a new thread to talk about it!
Samsung Galaxy Note II rumormill
Reported to avoid spam of forum
Even though that thread was created...no one stopped...so had to make another one

You open a new thread to complain about others have been doing the same!! Madness! Just report to the moderation team, we will sort it!

Have never seen so many closed threads in 12 yrs on XDA

Was a goood discussion on screen characteristics of the SN2 that I wanted to get back to. Got back and...'closed thread'....there'd been no flame wars, no contentiousness. I've seen a good amount of these here.
Wtf moderaters/gestapo, we're adults here....would you please allow discussion to play out?
Well, because of this?

Let me tell you what I have seen today, when I opened XDA.
Threads like:
Galaxy Note 2 Specs
Galaxy Note 2 files (wallpapers etc)
Samsung I hate you
Galaxy Note 2 screen....disappointment
Kudos to Samsung for Note 2
galaxy Note 2 vs Note 1 ( i think I've seen more than 2 threads)
UNPACKED IFA....
List can go on foreva..
If I was a moderator, I would close General Forum Tab for about 2 days until people control their emotions and stop opening unnecessary threads. We have plenty of existing threads where we can express our opinions and criticism.
Now can someone close this thread please?
From the Moderator
Yes, so many closed threads ALMOST all of them are on the same subject with the same hearsay..........
New Sticky open for all to post in.......... now the Note 2 specs have been released.......
To keep consistent........... this thread is no longer useful..So
..........Thread Closed.........

Thread name suggestion

Hi everyone,
I recently moved from Note 1 (n7000) to s3 (i9300). On N7000 forum the community had a convention of marking TouchWiz UI based ROMs with "[TW]" and other tags like [AOSP], [PA] , [OMNI] etc. That made it really easy to skim through the forum. however here in i9300 forum I didn't notice any convention being followed, so it might be a good idea to make a rule about naming the threads.

Not so brief comparison of S5 vs M8 (downloadable spreadsheet included)

I put together a spread sheet comparing the differences between M8 and S5.
This is not putting down either phone. It's just to help folks decide.
I don't want to duplicate the thread but it's over on the M8 forum.

See the first Sticky post on this section? Title says 'OFF Topic other device comparison' that's where your post should have gone.
